Part of me hopes that they really are staying quiet on the game simply to stay quiet on the game. If/When the game launches this year, I think it's going to be a lot nicer knowing that we didn't have a ton of info to build up expectations over.
Sure, we'll get the inevitable info dump eventually, but until then I think the low-key affair has been a secret blessing. It's been a long wait, but it's easier to not think about it when it isn't being pushed in your face all the time.
How can you call this until the Conference happens? The question is "Will Persona 5 get ANY new media before the SCEJ 2015 conference?" not "Will Persona 5 get ANY new media before the end of August?"
We may get a teaser before the conference and it'd turn out you were wrong.
And Atlus seem to have moved the Odin Sphere update day to Thursday, leaving Friday free. Clearly this means that tomorrow will be the day we learn everything there is to know about Persona 5.

All I want to know now is when we're getting it. Other than that, I'm happy with what we know now, and I want to be surprised with the full package when we get it.
Funny that you mention that. For some reason, today I had a mini-dream that the PS4 version of Persona 5 was a bad port, and GAF had to shut down due to literal server meltdowns.

Y'know, once I get a firm release date, I might be tempted to go full blackout. I'm strongly considering it, but the thirst is so strong. I've never successfully pulled off a blackout before.
Maybe just the next trailer, and that's it. Yeah.... maybe...
I really must say I do love how Atlus handled this.
The entire scenario is based upon the idea that the player will become attached to Nanako, but will avoid the worst possible choice because it seems "wrong" until they actually get the other ending here.
But yeah, Rean gave you the correct steps above to go on.

is kicking my ass hard. WTF. I've died about 3 times already. I'm at lvl 40 right now but I am definitely feeling I'm going to have to do a looong grind.
Motherfucker keeps rebuilding his outer shell, and casting fear and silence casting gigadyne shit before I can heal.
Anyway, I've finally come to the conclusion that I definitively enjoy Persona 3 FES and P3P more than Persona 4. (I'm probably in a huge minority here ) That's not to say that Persona 4 is a bad game at all, it's really amazing, just not as good as P3 for me.
I mean, I feel like the pacing is much better in 3 and I feel the characters grew as you progressed, and I liked that
They can fight on their own, and allow you to split up.
and that
you can use multiple types of weapons
, I also feel that it has the better story and that its themes are very interesting, I like the dark
dystopia/apocalyptic future stuff,
and I feel that its message is just... more concrete, I guess?
Also, there are some social links in P4 I just don't quite fit their arcana in P4 but I felt they were all really strong in P3
Though the things added to P4 like
jobs, books, fishing, shuffle time additions (expect when I get a down death card and all of my parties HP and SP is lowered to 1 X__X)
are really refreshing.
EDIT:
Also
In early P4 I find it annoying how there is no way to quickly heal HP/SP without paying a shitload of cash. (This is also true of P3P. WHY) Then the dungeon themselves, they're great but I dunno a lot feel like just skinny corridors with branching paths. It's great that they're all themed and have great geometry but I i dunno. Something seems off. They're probably still better than P3's though besides the teleporation thing.
Hope I don't get flamed for so many unpopular opinons. I love P4. I promise.
BTW, if it's still possible I'm in for that avatar bet for P5 releasing this year. It has to. :|

I'm rather late to the whole betting thing, but it sounds like fun. Given that Atlus USA stated multiple times that P5 is coming in 2015 in NA, I'm confident NA will get P5 this year (of course it could still be delayed, but eh, I take that risk). So put me down on team #InHardinWeTrust.
I should say, I get the feeling that this one is NISA's doing more than Atlus, since NISA has 7 games coming out in Europe between now and November, so it seems like they pushed this one to make room for others.
Roughly a month delay on a game where the story isn't very important and you're not competing with each other? That's not bad at all. Hopefully NIS America and/or SEGA will keep this relatively speedy approach.
Ideally, it should be about the same time, but this is still good. Don't want to see Europeans get burned again like they did with the first Arena and SMT IV.
So I did what you guys told me and progressed through the story (P4G Spoilers)
Holy shit. Adachi? He was such a lovable guy. I'm guessing that December will be the last month in the game, I'm actually kinda sad to see all this end.
And one thing, I'm planning to buy P4D once it comes out, but are there any non-P4 plot elements in the game? I know that spin-off games like the Arenas are canon so I was wondering if I need to play those games before playing P4D.

The spinoffs don't reference each other directly unless it's Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Ultimax.
You won't have to worry about P4D referencing past spin offs other than a possible "What happened during Golden Week sure was crazy" kinda reference.
Now, should you play those games? Considering Q is a great game on it's own, and the Arena stories introduce the super-loveable toaster "Labrys" and her story into the series, I'd say you should still try them out.
We got everything, but not the free discount periods that NA got

Actually, looking at the thread closer, you can see that he put "DEAD SET" in all caps.
Rearrange those letters a little bit and you get... "STEED AD"
Steed ad, huh? Gibberish, right? Wrong. Steed = Horse. His post is an advertisement telling us that P5 will come out in the next Year of the Horse in the chinese Zodiac. Which, if I'm looking at my charts correctly, would be...
...2026. My word! Atlus, you have some explaining to do!
