I like the old protagonist AoA picture more, but I think the rest work great. I enjoy it when Soejima gets a little more cartoony and stylized.Looking at the new AoA shots, there was definitely a change in vision there at some point. It's easy to tell when you compare the two:
They changed from being over-the-top/cartoonish to being less exaggerated and more grounded. I personally had no issue with the energy of the former, but I guess this is what they thought would be best. It kind of makes Ryuji's and Morgana's look out of place now, though.

Still can't believe how much Atlus blew it with that video footage. I'm definitely of the belief that P5 will always be niche, but I'd argue that even most persona fans on GAF never saw the footage they showed on the floor.
I know it will get shown off eventually, especially in English, but it kinda feels like P5 was completely invisible at E3 despite the fact that they showed some real great footage for fans. It's not that it didn't make a splash in the mainstream, it's that it barely made a splash within the niche. I'm sure it's not intentional, but it just stinks.
But feeling this way is pointless. The marketing cycle will begin anew as we get close to the English release and people will take note.

Sister or mother. Either way, it definitely is rather interesting that you have ties to two of your group members like that.

I know that TV Tropes is one of the most least reliable ways to get information, akin to Wikipedia, but where did this come from? This is taken from the YMMV page of Persona 5:
ATLUS Japan seemingly took notice of the backlash the Western release date received and as a result are putting out a free online guide to help players who want to import the game but don't understand Japanese that will help them translate dialogue and UI.
This bolded part here. I looked around but I don't see anything that says Atlus JPN is releasing a guide for a translated dialogue and UI. Where the heck do people from TVTropes get this information anyway? Would help if the person who edits the TV Tropes page of Persona 5 is on here.

A few fans have said that they will be putting together something along those lines. I guess someone saw that and took it to be Atlus endorsed or something?
Tvtropes isn't especially reliable though. P5 pages have had plenty of fanfiction and speculation mixed in in the past, even outside the YMMV page.

"Next turn" option in combat? Although might just bring up turn order.
Arsene is the Fool. Although pretty much a given since the MC is.
There's fast travel as in P4, seems to be selectable from the world map.

Someone's confusing what I'm doing (making the exact type of guide that is listed in that copied text) as an official thing by ATLUS, meaning someone thinks I work for ATLUS and announced that as something "we're" doing. See, last night, I announced on Twitter that I'd be making that type of guide and it'd be out in September right before P5's JP release.
ATLUS did not announce that they're making any type of guide at all, and the edit history is very soon after I announced that, so they're talking about my guide and confusing it as an ATLUS thing.
Can't say I'm too upset lol (though I'll login and edit it out), makes me glad to hear that I'm doing things well for fans <3

Assuming there's another PlayStation Experience this December like the past two years (the last one was announced in August iirc), P5 will have already come out and therefore, Atlus USA will have a full game to work on and promote with I'm guessing little to no input/guidance/restriction from Atlus JP.
Would it be crazy to think that we'd finally get an English trailer onstage there and then?

Although this year they'll at least have relevant games to promote, so no reason for them not to be.

Sorry, what I was suggesting was that Sony was excited about the game to point of just acknowledging the localization announcement that year.
It should only follow that the game would be at this year's PSX, if its going to be out ~2 months afterward.

Yeah, PSX this year would be a pretty safe bet. Obviously they'll have English stuff to show off by that point.
