PewDiePie calls someone a "fucking n****r" during PUBG livestream

To me, Boogie "defending the people caught in the middle" is either his way of staying out of the racist spot light, or it's tolerance for the sake of tolerance which I'm going to doubt. Even if it was for the sake of tolerance, FUCK TO THE THAT. Racism bad!

Again, what the hell is in the middle of "racist ----?----- not racist"?

I remember him citing the Bechdel test in regards to games and pissing off a lot of people in the comments.

Pretty nice feeling to see the list of decent gamer Youtubers is decently big.

I would add John Wolfe (formerly HarshlyCritical) to this list. Excellent channel with LPs of indie horror games mostly.

I feel like Boogie is very good at projecting a nice guy persona, which tends to get him the benefit of the doubt when he really hasn't earned it. I'm not giving him a pass on normalizing all the worst aspects of gaming culture just because he occasionally compliments Anita Sarkeesian.

A side thought, real telling that PDP was almost universally reviled by the "core" gaming community until he was outed as racist.

Game Grumps

There isn't even a middle. What is there?

"I think saying someone is a fucking nigger is fine in certain situations"

VS

"You shouldn't ever call anyone a fucking nigger nor even say that ever for any reason"

This is really not a hard thing to pick sides. What is the middle?

A side thought, real telling that PDP was almost universally reviled by the "core" gaming community until he was outed as racist.
Seriously. I thought all of the serious business gamers already hated this dude. How noble of them to stand up for him in the name of free speech....🤔

PDP is a douche and I'd like to think this'll do it but I've got a feeling it won't.

What about Game Grumps? Arin and Dan seem like good guys, some of their patter can be pretty close to the bone and I remember Arin retweeting some anti-JonTron stuff back when Jon outed himself as an arsehole.

Have they done anything that'll make me stop watching them?

Put DashieXP on the list of good people too. He curses and screams a lot, but racial slurs don't fall out of his mouth, and in general he's a good dude.

"Sometimes saying nigger is fine." Obviously.

That's a really good point. It wasn't that long ago that he was shunned by most for pandering to the lowest common denominator, but now he's suddenly the patron saint.

Gotta bring up Northernlion and the NLSS crew again.

They are extremely funny and entertaining

I've never heard anything bad about them.

I really hope no one can prove me wrong because they keep me going.

Yes, love Northernlion and the NLSS crew.

I am scanning this thread CTRL + F northernlion and worried that he may pop up negatively.

Glad to hear that crew is good.

Yea they definitely toned down the bully type content. Pretty glad they're good folks.

Honestly, I think there is a strong bias towards Something Awful content producers being decent people.

Here's an updated list.

Have Game Grumps post Jon done anythign controversial at all? Hell, Dan seems like a wholesome dude, have i missed something?

In a way, Boogie annoys me more than Pewdiepie, whether his "Can't we all just get along!?" schtick is genuine, ignorant, both or whatever.

Boogie is really just an example of American society's perspective in general on these kind of topics. "Meet in the middle" is one of America's core ideological tenets.

It's all about shielding people like PDP from the consequences of their actions, instead blaming and attacking those affected.

All boogie has to do now is invoke the one MLK quote he kind of knows (Kudo points if he talks about Daryl the black guy who goes around befriending KKK members), and he's basically filled in all the bingo spots

The middle is, "no shut up, stop talking about this."

Fascinating to think that the biggest name in Youtube could also be the same person to bring its destruction due to how much of an idiot he is...

Makes you wonder if there will actually be action being taken against him due to how he has basically made youtube a nightmare for some content creators (or at least by others since considering that Youtube probably won't do much still in spite of all the nonsense that has already been going on up to this point).

People need to stop trying to dig to the center of every issue to discover "the truth" like they're Indiana Goddamn Jones.

That twat isn't anywhere near the centre! His constant defending of racists/Nazis makes him every bit the far right lunatic as PDP and JonTron. Being a centrist isn't about planking one's arse on a fence and accepting fucking fascism as a legitimate POV, all because "balance".

Gamegrumps are pretty good. It's never gone on record as to why Arin and Jon seperated but, I think you can reach a conclusion with Jon's behavior. Arin did some slightly racist animation stuff a looong time ago. Dan seems like a perfectly good dude.

Honestly he's starting to go downhill for me. In his most recent video he calls Bayonetta a whore completely at random.

Well, I would rather take him insulting fictional characters than insulting a real race. However, I will admit that I forgot he was banned from League of Legends for many behavior infractions and liberal use of the word "faggot".

I don't think he actually is homophobic, as he used the word more in the context of humor than in anger, such as PDP used, and he is good friends with noted gay Youtuber Sky. However, I can certainly understand people not wanting to support him or watch his videos because of his previous actions.

I doubt it. He is friends with Sky Williams.

Not exactly comparable but JonTron was friends with Sky Williams and look what happened there.

Sky William was left emotionally distraught after he found out what JonTron said during the Destiny JonTron debate.

At this point Boogie's need to insert himself into the imaginary middle of any situation involving racism or sexism has been turned into a meme and he still does it every time.

Has Dunkey ever commented on things he's said previously? Any sort of apology or anything?
No. Dunkey went on a "faggot" tirade around the same time Pewdiepie did his Nazi shit, back in March 2017.

None of these edgelords ever fess up to an apology, cause they don't want to seem weak or whatever to their other edgelord pals.

It was on tv here in the Netherlands today.
So news/media is covering it.

Hopefully it leads to some punishments.

He may lose sponsors but that's about it. Let's not forget that other youtubers got away with absolutely no punishment for endorsing gambling and not disclosing ownership of the said gambling sites.

Some of y'all need Jesus in your life.

With the internet making fun of religion and how science and technology facts>faith and belief, this generation is so full of apathy.
You can accept hard cold knowledge while acknowledging that faith is something else that allows humans to continue to put their heart and belief into it.

Growing up in a religious household allows me to connect with people and showing empathy to them, and being respectful to other and treating them fairly.
Sure, you don't need religion to be a good person.
But it helps due to the routine teaching and the everyday community you are always interacting with.

However, the internet and technology have disconnected us in real life.
Most of us rarely go to Sunday Church or religious events, we stay at home.
We don't even interact with other humans unless they are our family and co-workers. Even if we do interact, we stare at our cellphone most of the time.
Watching Netflix, HBO, NFL, playing games on console/pc and just simply enjoying the digital lifestyle.
So many of ours youths just go online to troll and being respectful to people by creating endless racist memes.
