It's more twitter drama. One artist he listens to was upset and wanted his account to be blocked from listening to their music.
Then there's the people that are conflicted because he listens to a bunch of LGBTPOOPQI37$^2*HFD artists and they don't know if they should still hate him.

Yeah ok. Life's too good and comfortable for people. When this is the shit you care about, and some dude following some popstar on spotify qualifies as "you can't make this shit up", we've reached peak pathetic.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume the idiots getting worked up over this haven't faced a single ounce of hardship in their entire lives.

Its not their right to judge the taste of someone else. Just sue everybody who is harassing you openly about it and set an example

Electronic dance music and mumble rap are more or less what I'd expect him to enjoy. He looks the type.

Btw... spotify is dangerous it seems. I've never used it and yesterday my email account was used to create and log in spotify... And I am sure my email is secure so I have no idea how that spotify account was even verified as I ignored verification email.
I then logged it and deleted the spotify account but wtf. My gmail password is new and I have 2 step verification. So how did someone verified spotify account creation on my email address.
And what gains would hacker have in creating a spotify account with my email anyway? There is nothing to be stolen there
 
Thinking of it, I have some observations.

1. Everyone is pointing to "sharing with his wife" - who knows, maybe the shitty taste in music is actually his. Why not?
2. Why do 99% of women I know have shitty taste in music? Seriously, this is a whole 'nother debate we can have and it's mostly true. I've been blessed with a wife that actually has good taste, but most women only listen to crap all the time.
3. Gay men also (mostly) have shitty taste in music. Sure there are guys like Rob Halford, but most of them listen to whatever happy poppy crap. I don't know if the same applies to lesbians. lol
4. Why do people care about what he listens to? It's his life. Move on.

I guess the outrage stems from his young user base using music as a huge portion of their identity like most of us did at that age.

They'll get old and stop caring as much like I did.
 
Well on one hand KKB is great, but on the other hand Death Grips being on a playlist/favorites list automatically invalidates your musical taste. I'm torn.

It's nice to know that while the world's burning, people are dropping dead left right and centre and politicians are full of more shit than they ever have been, that we have these bastions of what we should hear, eat, speak, fuck and taste looking out for us on Twitter and the rest of social media

That list is pretty eclectic. As one of the few people here who has actually listened to some of that shit, I gotta say, that most of it does not qualify as "mainstream."

Meh, I expect something more juicy, that he is listening to some nazi groups or shit like that, this is weak and not interesting. I don't know nothing from his playlist, if I would see that, I would say, that this is some hispter playlist. But still I can hardly care, pewds I expected way more edginess.
