1up is a joke. 3 10s within the last month! Guitar Hero, RE4, and PGR3. I'm sure PGR3 is awesome but they give 10 waaaay to often. A 10 for Guitar Hero is also laughable.

I'm not sure I understand the PGR 2.5/2.75 comment on the IGN review, they added some pretty big things like the route creator, Gotham TV and the photo mode. Not to mention the significant leap in graphics and online play.

I can totally understand a 10 for this game. Great gameplay, great graphics, and genre defining features. It will be the defining racing game for this generation.

That being said, I also understand the naysayers. After all, if you don't have and HDTV and you don't have broadband internet with XBL, then maybe this game doesn't get a 10. It's a unique time for gamers... some are going to have a better experience than others and it has nothing to do with the game or the console.

IIRC it got mid 9's on other sites

and we all know RE4 is in the runnings for GOTY
so by that logic PGR3 has to be awesome

Very nice that the console has a game that people think is perfect, hopefully more games will follow.

I never get why so many gamers seem to want something score low.

The video review is up but the site review isn't. No indication of a score but the video review was positive yet critical of it apparently not being a proper sequel.

Name which games in this genre, one that's been around for many years now, are better, and why.

This is music/rhythm gaming perfection. Fantastic. It's impossible to find anything wrong with it unless you are just trying to nitpick. A solid 10.

My taste in music is likely more varied than yours so like, you know, STFU. Guitar Hero fucking rocks my face open but if the fucking Donnas can get a song in the game over The Police or Led Zeppelin then it's a problem.

If it was locked at 60fps it would have received a 10.6. This is inexcusable...

Dang. I was planning on passing on PGR3 because I'm not the biggest fan of racers, but I gotta think about picking it up now. I have some free rental coupons, so I'll at least give it a try.
