Phantom Blade Zero The Return Of Pang Town RTX Gameplay

In contrary to most games nowadays, I get more excited the more I see of Phantom Blade.
From Softs combat (except for maybe Sekiro) really is starting to show its archaic age when compared to the new Soulslikes and Action RPGs.
Wuchang's level design is up there or even slightly surpassed From Soft.
If Phantom Blade can do level design on the level of Wuchang or better, From Soft has officially been surpassed by a single game on all fronts imo.
This game feels like it's gonna be a bigger hit than Wuchang, Stellar Blade, Khazan, Lies of P and Black Myth Wukong.

I am not sure but all characters including the player character feel feather-light with no weight behind the movement or impact. Still looking forward to some demo etc. to try it out.
 
It looks better than Black Myth on all fronts except for the enemy variety and enemy visual design tbh.
Damn now I wish Game Science, S-Game and Leenzee would do a game together using Game Science's enemy design, S-Game's combat and Leenzee's level design.

Will it be a better game? Maybe. Will it sell 25M+ copies? I seriously doubt it
 
wait, does this mean it uses the RTX branch of Unreal Engine? that means it actually might not looks like absolute dogshit in motion. good news I guess, at least on PC.
You mean they might not just use lumen or have a high quality solution alternative too?

This game support full lumen and nanite on base ps5 for rtx features will be dlss 4, frame generation alongside full rt reflection solution other than the one on lumen here's official nividia post about recently rtx support for some upcoming games

so sadly Lumen GI, but you can get actually good reflections and shadows.
I guess that's better than nothing.

can you turn Lumen off? Lumen off + RTX reflections/shadows on would be optimal

No RTGI…so it will be Lumen software RT for the lightning.

And what's the fallback for lighting without Lumen? Of course, you can't.
 
Wukong sales are completely unprecedented from a new studio and IP. I think games like Lies of P and Stellar Blade sales would be more realistic for this.
What has happened can happen again, especially because there is even more awareness now and proof that Chinese games can compete amongst the best.
