Phil Spencer: "You are going to see more of our games on more platforms"

Except there's no uncertainty with Sony. Single player = duration, GaaS = day/date PC.

Phil has never been that forthcoming.
sony games are certain on pc, pc gamers have patience since they tend to have a big backlog of games they got on sale on steam. only nintendo has exclusives.
It's kind of ridiculous when you think about it. Personally it don't effect me.I'm an Xbox guy I guess. It's where I buy most of my games. Funny thing is one of this news has made me want to give up on Xbox.

MS are the richest of the the three, and the most likely to come out smelling of roses when this dust from this transitional period in the industry. I feel confident in where I decided to invest in my digital library. And after that showcase the other day I'm only more confident in Xbox. Do I care if others play those games? Nope.

Funny thing. MS is. Ow the biggest publisher in their own platform and their rivals platforms. That's kind of…… impressive. 😅

The future is about your account, your sub and your active spending and engagement in these games. Not the one time purchase of the box. Most people would be happy to have one box and all their accounts and games on it regardless of who they buy the box from. I'm looking forward to where the industry goes next.
that future is actually bad since you dont own anything.

Hopefully Sony gets the data from PSN sign ins that backs this up.

Every PC gamer I know has the patience for Sony games. They are all playing GOT right now and loving it on PC
You don't need psn sign in data lol.

Even on here pc gamers own ps5s to play those games earlier.

All gamers are naturally impulsive regardless of platform. Although we can't get a definite answer since there's no real data on this, and saying things like "well duh we're patient" doesn't suffice as a credible answer.

FCC just had an article that around 24 million Americans do not even have access to high speed internet, close to 7% of the population and no telling how more have pretty crappy "high speed" internet

This isn't a what if

We will have the option for physical media for awhile yet but I expect it to be much like the current PS5 solution, make it totally optional
I would agree with that.

My only real point is that physical media for console gaming is rapidly going the same way as the PC market.

Sony already has the data on about how many people have a PS5 and a gaming PC. They aren't new to this.
