  • Physical game demand overwhelmed Clair Obscur developers, leading to sold-out copies across the globe.
  • Its unexpected success can be attributed to the sell-out.
  • The company apologized and assured customers that they are working towards restocking physical copies in various regions.

Took a chance on the Best Buy preorder because of the $10 gift card, and both the game and the reception have been excellent. Sitting content with my physical copy, hopefully it won't be too long to print more so everyone who wants to can own the game.

Physical is very much alive. I'm so happy physical is so in demand for this game. By the way the game might be mistaken as a PS exclusive due to majority of sales are for Ps5 :messenger_grinning_smiling:

I bought the game on Steam, but I've been looking for a physical PS5 copy as well. I'm not in any hurry or anything, guess I'll pick it up when it restocks eventually.

It will be dead at some point but only because console manufactures will kill it.
Consoles are the only place you can still buy physical. When was the last time you bought a physical PC game?

Nobody is actively killing physical. More and more people simply choose digital when they have the option.

I wonder if Lune floats like that because she does not want to damage her feet since she does not have boots to wear. Was she barefoot before the expedition started? I do not remember. I figured it was a result of the chaos upon landing. I imagine she does so she does not hurt her feet on all this weird terrain everywhere.

In the intro she was playing guitar to the crowd already not wearing shoes. I remembered well cuz was the only NPC not wearing shoes. A bit later when shes was oficially introduced i recognised her as the barefoot guitar girl.

You think people wanting the Collectors Editions have a option when they ship it with Digital Code
Or think offering only a Digital Deluxe Edition with extras & early access is to promote physical sales.
The fact that those games are considerably less then the retail price and they charge the RRP or more for digital explains why they want to push Digital sales more then Physical, they're literally getting 60% more profit from them vs how much the retail stores pays for the stock.

I actually managed pick up my physical copy without pre-ordering the game.

I bought it when I pre-ordered Switch 2.

Keep seeing these words "physical" and "sold out" together. No Lunar for me.. Expedition 33 at least I believe will get a reasonable reprint. Was waiting for the new month to roll over to get my copy for accounting reasons.

I bought Expedition 33 last week and paid $50. The cheapest used copy on Ebay right now is $70.

Tell me again how we should stop buying physical games.

They will kill it because the majority will accept it. Otherwise they wouldnt.

They are accelerating it.

There always will be some % of hardcore gamers that will buy games on discs but Sony/Nintendo/MS will kill this option anyway.

Having 100% control on prices and killing used market if far too valuable for them.

I can't believe I'm seeing this on none Asian game and ex Ubisoft devs.
Many games developed in Europe are quite based. It's in the other side of the ocean where the anti-beauty standards are more established in, imo.

KCD2 has whores in wet dresses that display their fully modeled bodies, nipples and all. :goog_relieved:

All console companies are actively working to kill it, but it's a slow death.

Not just female characters but also the male characters in Clair Obscur also good looking.

Is nice to see other devs other than Asian devs know how to make good looking character designs.
