I disagree.Yawn. There are like 40 things here more worthy of your whining than this.
True. Bravely Default remaster is an easy day 1.I'm 100% buying Switch 2 day one but also I agree the prices for some of these old games is too damn high.
I think SE does much better job pricing with Bravely Default remaster.
Also as much as I LOVED BotW and TotK, the game I'm more interested upgrading is Kirby the Forgotten Land because they seem adding entirely new story and level.
I own the physical copy of Forgotten Land so I might pay small price for the upgrade and I don't mind replaying that game with higher frame rate that includes new story and levels.I really liked that Kirby game, but not enough to get the remaster. At my age, I rarely replay anything now days that isn't a Resident Evil title, like with Bravely Default, I now need 10 years plus to give a fuck about the replay and I'm now only doing it for RPGs lol
They're selling you the same fucking card for an extra $10.Yawn. There are like 40 things here more worthy of your whining than this.
They're like dogs returning to eat vomit.but it's nintendo so people will eat it up and defend it.
Card plus the code for the upgrade...They're selling you the same fucking card for an extra $10.
It's not the same game, it's been upgraded. These games are timeless masterpieces, not the shovelware Ubisoft slop on Steam that goes 50% off a month after release.I disagree.
I think selling a 2017 game cartridge for more money than when you launched it 8 years ago is absolutely insane.
Yes, it's the same game, unless you think Cyberpunk running on a mid-tier PC isn't the same one running on a high-end PC.It's not the same game, it's been upgraded. These games are timeless masterpieces, not the shovelware Ubisoft slop on Steam that goes 50% off a month after release.
They created an app with a bunch of new content. Did you even watch the presentation? And your belief that they just flip a few toggles to beef up the graphics is very revealing about your intelligence.Yes, it's the same game, unless you think Cyberpunk running on a mid-tier PC isn't the same one running on a high-end PC.
Plus, Microsoft has done this largely for free with their backwards compatibility program.
Ooou, wow, Zelda notes! They created an app with a bunch of new content.
That's literally what it is you absolute buffoon. Scaling the resolution up and down is a simple toggle.Did you even watch the presentation? And your belief that they just flip a few toggles to beef up the graphics is very revealing about your intelligence.
The engine had to be reworked to work with HDR. Not a great brain you have there.Ooou, wow, Zelda notes!
That's literally what it is you absolute buffoon. Scaling the resolution up and down is a simple toggle.
No, it doesn't lmao. It's fucking tone-mapping. "Reworking the engine for HDR" lol.The engine had to be reworked to work with HDR.
I know a lot more about this than your fanboy ass.Not a great brain you have there.
You've in a thread about a Nintendo game you have no interest in melting down because their games actually hold value... let's not start making fanboy accusations. No, it doesn't lmao. It's fucking tone-mapping. "Reworking the engine for HDR" lol.
I know a lot more about this than your fanboy ass.
No, I'm in a thread about Nintendo charging a premium for barely doing any work. Then shills like you defend them by making shit up.You've in a thread about a Nintendo game you have no interest in melting down because their games actually hold value... let's not start making fanboy accusations.
oh wow, I didn't know that, I might actually do that upgrade after all bruvI own the physical copy of Forgotten Land so I might pay small price for the upgrade and I don't mind replaying that game with higher frame rate that includes new story and levels.
I agree with Gaiff's criticism, and it's no wonder Nintendo cracked down on Switch emulators like Yuzu. These emulators were already doing a better job than Nintendo years ago, and that company is now simply plagiarizing their work.
My interest in getting a Switch 2 is now at rock bottom. I don't know why anyone would buy third-party games on that system when the PS5 Pro puts these ports to shame, considering the Switch 2's much inferior hardware along with a very low battery life. My coworkers at my job are even stunned at the high price tag on the system, especially the games, and many expressed little to no interest in getting the system.
Yes. That's definitely the silver lining here.I wonder if this means you can upgrade also if you own the physical version of the Switch 1 game
The upgrade pack is a digital download.I keep seeing that picture, but where does it say you get a code in the box and that it's not on the cartridge?
But yes, if that's the case it's absolute crap.
Yeah, but where is the info that it's not already downloaded onto the cartridge if you buy the physical Switch 2 Edition? The upgrade pack is a digital download.
You can upgrade your current version (if you own one) with the same upgrade pack.
I guess that's possible, but I think that's highly unlikely considering it's available as a download on the store and it's the OG Switch cartridge.Yeah, but where is the info that it's not already downloaded onto the cartridge if you buy the physical Switch 2 Edition?
Oh okay, now I get it. We assume that it's a Switch (1) cartridge that is being used here. I didn't reflect on that.I guess that's possible, but I think that's highly unlikely considering it's available as a download on the store and it's the OG Switch cartridge.
They would probably just make it a Switch 2 cartridge if that were the case.
This mean you can't sell the game used as Nintendo switch 2 edition since the code can only be activated once , you can only sell it as switch game and whoever buys it have to purchase separate upgrade path online
I'm 100% buying Switch 2
Same, anything with that "key" thing printed on it goes straight into the trash.Another 2 "Game Key" games on card

I won't be buying any of these, so far all I can see is Donkey Kong not having this download bullshit.
CD Project Red has been great with this stuff. It's the same with The Witcher 3 on Switch (1), everything's on the cart.Cyberpunk 2077 UE will have the whole game on the game card it seems.
Resolution and fps looked low tho
It's not surprise to anyone.
Nowhere does it say the upgrade pack is only included as a code. And the scenario you outline is a big reason why that is unlikely to be the case. This mean you can't sell the game used as Nintendo switch 2 edition since the code can only be activated once , you can only sell it as switch game and whoever buys it have to purchase separate upgrade path online
You don't need to be a genius to know it's a code only , it literally says the package include switch game and the upgrade pack which means it's a codeNowhere does it say the upgrade pack is only included as a code. And the scenario you outline is a big reason why that is unlikely to be the case.
It's e-waste. I can't believe they're doing this.Same, anything with that "key" thing printed on it goes straight into the trash.

Basically they are going the way of the Online Season Pass codes that were used in 2010-2015 and failed. Too bad Nintendo knows their audience...You don't need to be a genius to know it's a code only , it literally says the package include switch game and the upgrade pack which means it's a code
