Those are standard escort pics. I'll look and see if I still have my pictures from when my units F/A-18s were escorting. In our case it was open air space but our birds mission was to make sure the Bear didn't fly over our carrier. We stood up on the flight deck and it was cool because you could see the crew in the Bear taking pics of us taking pics of them.

Not epic photography or anything but I think the pics are cool. They open Trinity up once a year to the public and I was there for work the weekend it happened. It was awsome seeing all the history.

Those planes used to fly right over my parents house but they have changed flight paths now. I'll always remember seeing the huge Russian cargo plane fly over with two fighter jets escorting. It was amazing to see.

Why is the flash blueish? Or does my monitor have wrong color settings or is it because the original video?

mh, looks more yellow/orange to me. The other angles show a orange tone, especially the camera showing the damage effects (but that may be due to how the cameras had to be set up to survive the blast).
This is the whole scene:

I know it should not be glorified (which this docu movie also doesn't really do), but the heat pulse followed by the actual shock wave is just really cool to look at (as long as they don't test it on living animals etc....).

That movie about Trinity is awesome. It was F-ed up the way they tested the Able and Baker shots on all those animals. But the movie did a great job putting all that test footage together. I'm glad I bought a copy.

What the fuck at that shuttle picture. Is that real? How does one get a picture like that?

What do you mean? You go around the planet with the shutter open (more or less).
