I think in movies you always see the rich or Erudite drinking sparkling water. My statement was in jest, but there is an aspect of American culture that the higher class areas offer sparkling water. Europe it is available everywhere.

American culture also excludes water kettles, a fact that was widely discussed on this board one time, I think.

Sparkling water + Apple Juice = Best beverage for hot days.

I may have exagerated a bit, from time to time i enjoy typical sicilian sparkling drinks like seltz lemon and salt, mandarino al limone or a good chinotto.
