So I got to Defiance Bay and I swear I've found a total of like 2 hidden items. Does the Mechanics requirement jump a bit to see these in the town, or are there just not as many items? I feel like I'd come across a lot more.
So just don't mess with items at all for any reason in this game.Just found another fun bug any quick item you have on a party member gets is destroyed if you swap them out. Lost like three or four dozen food items to that.
Pretty sure the stealth skill is responsible for that? Maybe I'm wrong hough.
Also you need to be in scout mode to find hidden objects
Oh. Time to sneak around everywhere, then.
Doing the temple right now and I'm getting pretty damn into it. Some minor gripes about stat balancing (CON is basically a dump stat for non-tanks with very little in the way of penalty if you take it down below 10) and I wish Chanters didn't have such a long ramp up time, but otherwise, good stuff. Hard/expert also feels like a good difficulty right now, just enough to keep me on my toes.
Main trouble right now is when Eder can't grab attention and a few mobs get to my dps; don't really have a reliable way for them to push them off, unless the chanter has his phrases 3-stacked already. In an emergency I just get Durance to cast Withdraw and that's been enough to take me through some tough spots.
I'm not sure which lvl you are, but Eder can get a skill that forces enemies to engage on him.

Also my Cipher doesn't seem to generate any focus at all during battle. She's got 50 so I can dish out a lot of great stuff but it goes to -1 and then nothing is generated not through shots fire and hit or melee attacks.
I'm not as far in the game but I'm thinking the same about my chanter. I mean sure chanter isn't only about the invocation, but the fact invocation are usefull in so few fight because it's usually ready by the time the fights are coming to an end... it just feel bad and make the character extremely passive.now I'm thinking about rerolling because chanters just take so long to do anything.
There is an item in Defiance bay (Horn of something or other I think) that totally breaks the Cipher's focus generation ability.
Well, I don't think I'm high enough of a level forquest in Defiance Bay.The Lighthouse
Don't think I've ever been dropped so quick, ouch.
Anyone know if the Two-Handed Style talent affects two handed ranged weapons?
Is there a map that shows where chapter 1 companions are? I think I've missed one or two.No Durance in my crew!
I saw it here but forgot to save it.
Character Spoilers
Aloth and Eder are in Gilded Vale, Durance is at Magran's fork, Kana is in front of Caed Noa, and Sagani is in the Wooded Something or Other, which opens up after you clear out Caed Noa.
Can someone spoil for me when and how you trigger Aloth's personal quest? I have all my companions quests available from just talking to them, nothing for him yet though. Currently in Defiance Bay.

Why does this game run so badly?
Mostly pre-rendered stuff + low quality textures and particle effects... some of these fights are bringing my frames into the 40s. I'm on a 980GTX.
By the way, Pillars is currently reaching a new peak concurrent player number on Steam.

Sooo am I doing something wrong? I'm in combat right now, my cipher is at 0 focus, she is attacking and damaging an enemy, but her focus is staying at 0. Wut?
lol, just found that place myself. Holy shit.
So about that Dyrford Crossing dungeon...I sacrificed the ranger girl to a blood pool to get stat boosts for my main character. The bitch had to die.
Btw that place gives a crazy amount of valuable loot. I think I got like 14k when I sold everything after clearing that place. Any other places like that? I want to get paid son.

I have a 980 and never have this issue. In fact it runs too fast I have to set a frame limiter
Barbarian does a sort of cleave and can be slow+hard hitting or fast+lighter. Bit of a reckless class that hits harder as it takes hits.
Rogue I've found is okay. Does good damage but has poor survivability. But then I made it a glass cannon so maybe that's the problem.
How far should I be going down the Endless Paths before moving on? I just got pastin Act 1 and I got to floor 6 of the Endless PathsRaedric's Keep. The enemies there don't seem drastically more challenging that the ones on the previous floorsthanks to a shortcutdespite the scenery change but I'm kinda worried about out levelling the critical path stuff.though I mostly skipped 2 and 3

Holy shit I didn't even know you could do that, thepool of blood just stopped talking to me. That's wild. What was the stat boost?
Well.... I chose a fighter. And maybe it's just because it's early on, but I'm not LOVING it just yet. My only ability is knockdown. Meanwhile my wizard friend has much better attacks, albeit limited in uses.
So far though, I'm finding the game to be very well done. Even if a lot of the dialog is nonsensical to me.
Outleveling through combat? That's a good one.

They really need to make it easier to import custom portraits.Yooo just fumbled around and changed my portrait. I dunno if it's a known thing or if it's safe, but basically its this;
Whatever portrait you're using, make sure you have the EXACT file name, name the replacement the exact same thing and then delete the original and delete the (2) in the file name and I was able to replace my portrait with the new one. You load your save, it should show up no problemo and when you save, it'll replace it on the little icon on the folder and stuff.
I've just been playing a lot, sorry if this is old news that's already been discovered. Make a new story and two portraits just to fuck around and make sure it works for you just to be safe.

Hmm nope, definitely never used that item. I do have a Talisman of the Unconquerable on her though, maybe that had a similar effect.
edit: yup, someone mentions that in the thread. ugh.

I thought I was the only one. Granted, my PC isn't that good, but I've been able to run stuff like Skyrim with some mods. I should be able to play with no problem.
Yeah after thatI went elsewhere.squad of ghosts warps in surrounding your party
