Monomania was great!
Yes but before that Deerhunter made spectacular albums, not just "solid" ones.Yup, kind of got lost in the shuffle of 2013 but it's definitely a solid album.
midnight city?
*googles*
oh S=Y was 2008
still that M83 album never reallly did it for me
if you don't have a problem with it then what's the point of calling appreciation of finally rich ironic? Or implying they're only enjoyable while drunk or lit. I mean sure for me they're more enjoyable then but so is most music haha. I've enjoyed finally rich a ton while cold sober.I have no problem with liking Chief Keef, after a few drinks I start feeling I Don't Like hard. But I'm not gonna act like it's game changing shit
I find it pretty passionless and inert tbh, rote psych/folk with lush orchestration put to no purpose. But then again I'm not a huge grizzly bear guy. Yellow House is fantastic, veckatimest is deceShields is beautiful ;_;
Okay that's fair. If pitchfork's write up was a longer version of that I probably wouldn't have made the comment in the first place.if you don't have a problem with it then what's the point of calling appreciation of finally rich ironic? It's definitely a forward-thinking rap album, something that prioritizes impressions and abstraction of voice over readability. And it's fierce an melodic in its best moments. It didnt change the game on its own but keef was undoubtedly the face of a sub-movement that's been going on in rap (esp in Chicago and atlanta) for years.
MBTDF > Yeezus. Really? People think the opposite? Cmon guys.
Agreed. Nothing Kanye's done lately has been great to me, but MBDTF is definitely the bottom of the barrel in his discography imo.overproduced mess with a few good tracks & a bunch ranging from bad to forgettable
lead single monster is a wiki footnote for that time minaj outrapped ye, jigga (...) and ross
also has nothing that can touch Blood on the Leaves
Shields is beautiful ;_;
Yeezus isn't even on the same planet as MBDTF.Lonerism is an outstanding album.
Yeezus and MBDTF should switch places.
A pretty solid list.
I guess this list isn't really for me as I only recognise 15 artists in the top 100...however the lack of Atoms for Peace's album Amok is sad.
lol, what? I didn't realize anyone liked that thing. Definitely the worst Radiohead related release, though I haven't heard Phil Selway's albums.
