MBDTF is truly Kanye's weakest record in my opinion. GKMC at number 2 is also a really boring choice.

edit: Kaputt in the top 20! Okay, back on board Pitchfork.

I have no problem with liking Chief Keef, after a few drinks I start feeling I Don't Like hard. But I'm not gonna act like it's game changing shit
if you don't have a problem with it then what's the point of calling appreciation of finally rich ironic? Or implying they're only enjoyable while drunk or lit. I mean sure for me they're more enjoyable then but so is most music haha. I've enjoyed finally rich a ton while cold sober.

It's definitely a forward-thinking rap album, something that prioritizes impressions and abstraction of voice over readability. And it's fierce an melodic in its best moments. It didnt change the game on its own but keef was undoubtedly the face of a sub-movement that's been going on in rap (esp in Chicago and atlanta) for years.
Shields is beautiful ;_;
I find it pretty passionless and inert tbh, rote psych/folk with lush orchestration put to no purpose. But then again I'm not a huge grizzly bear guy. Yellow House is fantastic, veckatimest is dece

Okay that's fair. If pitchfork's write up was a longer version of that I probably wouldn't have made the comment in the first place.

And I love Bon Iver, Bon Iver so who the fuck am I to judge anyone.

Agreed. Nothing Kanye's done lately has been great to me, but MBDTF is definitely the bottom of the barrel in his discography imo.

Guess I'm in the minority, though. I remember thinking its critical appeal would fade fast. Looks like it won't.

I guess this list isn't really for me as I only recognise 15 artists in the top 100...however the lack of Atoms for Peace's album Amok is sad.

lol, what? I didn't realize anyone liked that thing. Definitely the worst Radiohead related release, though I haven't heard Phil Selway's albums.

Schattenjäger

Gabriel Knight
I am like legitimately shocked but happy Inspector Norse is up there... Cool song but I can name many other EDM tracks much better

Atoms for peace was certainly a snoozer. A couple of decent tracks surrounded by average tracks.

And I've got like 10gbs of Radiohead related audio
