Finally consumed some delicious chicken all by myself. Had several duo/squad wins but I don't solo very often. Managed 6 kills, it was hectic as fuck. The last guy decided driving around in a UAZ was a good strat. It worked for me. He got everyone shooting at him, which allowed my 8X KAR to hit some shots then he just drove over to me and jumped out and was promptly murdered. Fun.

The game feels dramatically better after this patch.

FUCKING YES

After 12 hours, I finally did it.

Highlights of that match

1. Slowly swimming underneath someone hiding under a bridge and taking them out without them realizing what happened.

2. Headshotting someone trying to ram me with the jeep and dodging the vehicle at the last second.

3. Seeing the circle be at Georgopol (I have the worst luck there) so I almost gave up and used the restroom not caring if someone killed me. I was still alive so figured I should press on.

Once we were all in the same building, it was 3 of us in different floors and it stayed that way for a while. I heard grenades pop off and I threw a few smokes but we didn't encounter each other until the very last second. I killed someone coming up the stairs and was ready for the other person but it looked like the circle was in a weird spot so they ended up dying outside the playzone.

Also, I'm actually glad it was at Georgopol because the best sight I had was a Red Dot. Had it been outdoors I would have been fucked. I'm loving this new circle!

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to lie down because my heart is going to explode, I literally can't remember the last time I was this tense in a video game.
 
I think my last 2 wins came off of dropping in Georgiapol and winning the area. But usually drop there, pachinki, the school, or Yas.

Those are probably 80% of my landings, if not higher.
 
I finally came back to this after like a month away because of the new patch. Like that it's running much better now. I turned up settings and game still runs good and looks good. Only get some little hitches still though but overall it's a lot better.

Anyway somehow I just wandered my way into the top 2 without killing anyone or even being shot at the whole match. I had no armor the whole game too lol. Was able to get the advantageous position behind a rock at a higher elevation than the tree close by that the other guy was behind. He decides to rush at me. I peek out and forgot to switch what shoulder my third person aim was on and it was on the left when I wanted it on the right. So I stepped out saw a screen full of rock when I aimed and he took me out fast before I could fix my view. Sad gameplay from me.
 
I feel like for the last few patches, people have said they've noticed improved FPS, while i didn't notice any change for my low-end PC, but this one has significantly increased it. Most matches are totally smooth throughout.

Also, they fixed something that was really bugging me. When you freelooked around and then snapped back to your fixed 3rd person view, your character would move. It was annoying when you were trying to be stealthy and stay completely still. Great patch.
 
Never playing in random squads again on euro servers. Fuckers didn't help me at military base, I fended myself off against another group (I got the kills) we made it out of there all ok with good loot, I go ahead to look for a vehicule, I found a bike, another dude from my group follows me with a buggy and fucking shoots me in the back, others guys come and loot all my stuff...

I got some good squad games with randoms on NA and even Asia servers but I always end up with shitheads on the euro servers, most of them being russians, feels bad man.
 
Ugh the last two times I've died is because I have to run to the circle and I get picked off by someone :(
At least one of the guys I ran into after parachuting had no desire to fight. We helped each other out and went our ways. Lol.
 
I was in top 3, had the guy in my sights to be in the top 2.

Then the game fucking crashed. It would have been my possible first place ever. Mother fuck.
 
So I don't know how long they've had the official zombies mode but it's pretty sweet. It gets hilarious when you separate the humans and they start to panic.

Except you can't win as zombies even if you kill all the humans (Unless our host messed the setting up) , you have to end it in a free for all punch-fest.
 
that game is really good. its my first battle royale type of game and its really fun. and i think one of the biggest thing that keep me into it is how fast you can jump into another match. i really really like how fast it is. i didnt played a lot before that new update but looks like the devs are doing a great job. can't wait to see what will come later.

now i need to do better than 2nd place.
 
Oh man... So I'm playing the game for the first time in maybe a month today. Solo match. The map is looking all atmospheric with the twilight lighting going on. Hugging the north side of the map where the circle is closing in with about 25 people left. I've gotten basically nothing for weapons this whole match ( a shotgun and pistol) and haven't seen a single person since I jumped out of the plane. But at least I've got a level 3 helmet.

I'm right at the edge of the circle as its closing in on this hillside and I'm just staying right on the edge where there are still some trees and rocks for cover. All of a sudden I see a guy running down the hill in front of me and then he goes prone by a tree. I'm keeping an eye on him as I'm crouched by a tree when I notice a giant supply crate out in the open between me and the guy.

Now I've maybe gotten a supply drop once and it only had a Tommy gun in it. Throwing caution to the wind, I sprint to the supply crate and get behind it so the guy by the tree hopefully can't see me. Inside the crate I get a Ghillie suit, a ton of ammo, a 15x Scope and an M249. Since I just have a shotgun, I stick the 15x scope on the M249 and crawl away feeling like a badass in my Ghillie suit, still with eyes on the guy camping by the tree, who is now looking away from me. But now the circle is closing again and I've got to move- closer to the guy by the tree.

So I get prone, nearly invisible with my Ghillie suit on and look down the scope at this guy and light him up... only to hit him maybe once or twice before he bolts behind a rock.

Then some random guy ran in from behind me, and killed me with a shotgun.

Yup, that's me playing PUBG.

Christ the aiming system still needs work for sure. This shouldn't happen.

Even just something as subtle as making the un-aimed view shift a little when you swap shoulder

In case you missed it yesterday, we are also adjusting the loot balance this month.

This is our first real pass at adjusting the loot balance in the game after the data science team started their analysis. We will most likely be making several more of these passes during Early Access, so please don't take this week's upcoming change to the balance as final!

Due to a bug, we’ve been experiencing an issue where some items either spawned more or less than intended. This was discovered in the process of modifying the spawn table internal structure for developing custom games, and after following and testing the issue, we discovered that a similar issue was present throughout all spawn tables.

Not all items had issues, but we decided it was necessary to adjust some of the items that were spawned too much or too little for their tiers.

Getting a comfortable loadout should be something that happens across the entirety of the match, not all at once. Hell, ideally the player in this sort of game should probably always be at a want for something (be it ammo, equipment, health, whatever) to encourage them to actually move around the map and take risks to loot buildings or fight other players.

Or maybe its just to encourage more map usage. The circle helps but right now the grand majority of the action happens in the urban areas with huge swaths of empty space around them. It's more economical to try and hit every house when any of them might have a little bit vs. Most of them having jack and a few having guaranteed good stuff.

Yeah I agree you shouldn't be able to get fully geared-up by looting four houses then be able to just camp, but having three people land in a cluster of four houses, and one coming out with a shotgun while the other two have melee weapons...it kind of kills my desire to want to immediately jump into another match. I'm not saying that kind of thing didn't happen before occasionally, I've had plenty of early deaths, but out of eight games last night I was killed by the first five people I came across and I pretty much had no chance to survive. I say this as someone who is in the top 1% of top 10 finishes so I'm not that bad, and I certainly don't want to be too much of a whiny baby because I got pwned, but maybe I just need to completely change how I approach this game from the start.

I understand what they're trying to achieve and obviously they'll keep tweaking it, but maybe they should limit AR's and Snipers to only spawn in the 2nd or 3rd white circle onwards or something? Maybe that's too extreme...

The 3 houses and garage on the far west of Georgopol, and the houses across the road have always been pretty good to me. Most people go for the hospital it seems.

Even the starting white circle has been more random which is good to see.
 
Heard a guy outside the house I was in so I hid quietly just inside a doorway to one of the rooms inside. Sure enough he comes into the house and eventually opens the door in front of me. I immediately hit him square in the chest and I see blood....he then sprays me with the AK. Game over for me. I don't get shotguns in this game. Is a point blank chest shot not an instant kill if they are armored? Meanwhile I have been one shot outdoors at full health by a shotgun well past the range where I would have expected it to do minimal damage. Has to be the difference between a head shot vs. a body shot. I pretty much drop shotguns for SMGs or a second rifle first chance I get these days.

Dropping at Zharki is the ultimate gamble. You either get lucky with the circles and get looted basically uncontested, or you only have 1 minute to loot before you have to find a vehicle or start running.

That would be nice actually at the very least. A much more robust contextual lean based on your cover like in Battlefield would be good to be added in. I don't expect that to happen, but hey they're already putting a lot of work into a Battlefield like vaulting system and more destruction. Maybe they will look into changing up the leaning mechanics a bit.
 
Vipu and Tovarisc put on a show tonight. 6 wins in a row, 7 together. Vipu had another duo win earlier in the day for a total of 8.

I was glad to be in for 3 and actively participate in 2 :-P

I got this pretty ridiculous kill yesterday with the S686 on a guy driving off. You can see me turn back after the last shot as I was astounded I actually killed him in a car from that far away - https://streamable.com/jfg1b
 
The early houses where only 1/4 may have a weapon is also rough when you drop near someone and try to find a weapon. There's a very good chance you'll get stuck on a door or something and get jankpunched to death before you can pick up or load anything.
 
Well I had fun today. I tried out zombies, got into some Pochinki fights that culminated in a UAZ shootout in the wheat field, I completely ghosted some guy trying to overwatch a crate by sniping him, and at one point while I when I finished looting my starting compound I saw a car drive past. I shot at it hoping they'd come and fight me, and they charged right in, dodged my nade, ate my UMP, and S12'd me in the face, and ran away. It was Grimmmz and when I checked his VOD later he thought I was another filthy camper. :(
