Got 2 chicken dinner yesterday, one in solo where I found a ghilli suit and used it to kill 2 guys then the last player naded himself by mistake. Second one was as a 3 men squad and ended up with a super intense stand-off vs a 4 men squad pushing us in the white zone.

The second I pick up a gun is where I play the entire game in first-person. Couldn't stand playing it any other way. It's just so much more natural for when i'm in combat.

Doesn't that limit your view? like, a lot?

You have zero awareness when entering rooms or taking stairs when using 1st person

I read some of you rebind keys to extra buttons on the mouse, why the f does that not work for me? The game doesn't react at all when I try to rebind (except for the thumb button).

Yes, if you want something more casual I'd go with The Division. Despite all the hate it gets it actually has pretty good gameplay.

Arma can be played Solo too. It has many single player scenarios (official ones and user created content) and a campaign. Lot's of PVE scenarios too.

It's more complicated than PUBG but in terms of movement and shooting it's the closest equivalent.

Another series that's got similar controls is operation flashpoint.


The thing is that due to it's roots as an ARMA mod, PUBG has a control scheme and shooting model that's rarely used in more mainstream games and is usually found in more simulaiton oriented games. I'd say that it' easier to get used to it by just playing more PUBG.

If it's KB/M in general that's troubling you, just pick up the new DOOM or another decent FPS and play through that.

it's totally fine to play this game with randoms. if you're by yourself you basically only ever hear voice chat in the lobby and before you parachute into the map, then you're on your own — which is the whole point.

i am the last person in the world to ever get involved in the whole online-headset-FPS thing but i absolutely love PUBG.

There are more than enough examples where this is so obviously not true, but sure ignore all those to fit your narrative. Next thing you will say is he toggles it off to avoid suspicion. Cmon dude not everyone that is good at the game is cheating.

Idk, in every game that someone is really good and has 700+ hours playing it almost every day. It just starts to look like that. I've seen him mess up enough and die to people he never saw. It's possible I guess but I don't think it's fair to say you're 1000% sure when it's a guy that plays the game for like almost 10 hours a day.

So to clarify, you have no actual context for the skill ceiling in any shooters whatsoever, right? Like the game sense involved in something like professional Quake or CS?

Just look for a f2p shooter and get your fingers in shape with that, I played some team fortress, and minecraft to get my 'console' hands working on a KBM setup again.

Get a great parachute drop and immediately find a suppressed SKS with 8x scope and extended mags and an M4 fully loaded, run into the sewers to take shelter from bombs, kill some dude there and when I emerge from the sewers I notice the circle on the other damn side of the map.

I haul ass and ofcourse, not a single vehicle to be found. Anywhere.

Fucking hell. These guns were itching to kill dudes. I spent like 20 minutes non-stop sprinting to keep ahead of the blue line but it got me in the end.
At least I managed to take some poor sap with me who was stuck outside the circle. Goddamn that scoped SKS just destroys people.

It took 4 weeks, but i just got my first win last night. Me and my friends were literally yelling over the mic on discord, it was 12am, scared the shit out of my wife who got really pissed off and cussed me out for scaring the life out of here. She thought we were being robbed.

What a fucking amazing adrenaline rush. I spent most of the map feeling like i was handicapping our team. Then i end up the last one of us alive with 10 people left. I kill one guy. 9 left.

Couple guys kill each other.

4 people left. 3 of them on the same team against me. Circle so small, they spot me hiding behind a rock. 2 of them go right, one goes left to flank me from behind. I knock down one on the right, go back wait 2 seconds knock down the other on the right, turn the table on teh guy who went left and kill him. They all die. We go ape shit. I have 5 kills and a WINNER WINNER CHICKEN FUCKING DINNER!!

Fuck, that felt so fucking good. Just needed to share. As a life long SOCOM die hard, i've FINALLY found it's replacement and it's sooooo fucking good!

I can't hear gunshots/explosions/cars/plane unless my camera is facing whatever direction theyre coming from. my teammate was taking shots and i couldnt hear him because he was behind me and my camera was facing infront of me. if i rotated it towards him i heard his shots.

Well if you're feeling adventurous, you could swap out the hdd in your laptop for the ssd from your desktop.
