Without context, it's difficult to know what that means. I would assume the other guy DC'd or quit . . . but I'm guessing he came back and killed the streamer?
Ah, I thought it was something with his video, there's some screen tearing or something that happens when the guy disappears.

When you DC or quit, your character stays standing in the same spot. It must have been a huge desync / lag spike.
Could have all been avoided had the streamer set his sensitivity a little lower

With a few FPP games played, I think this might be the mode I play going forward. It's just hitting all the notes for me. I've always been pretty bad at spotting people, but with the view being closer to the action here it's helped tremendously. I'm also not as paranoid walking between buildings anymore because I know someone isn't just prone under a window and seeing me anyway.
FP mode is awesome. Loving it. Got two duo wins today, last one i got 10 kills.
So fun, I feel like you have a much better chance of surviving shootouts since you can hide better with cover and terrain since you can't use the camera to cover all your sides. And people can't just hide behind cover camp while using the camera to see your every move.
This game sure is something special.

Professional? Guy missed twice point blank with shotgun. He regularly reports people who (as usual) beat him down. Lame.

I got one military base kill where I was able to push towards the footsteps pretty freely after getting a shotgun early on. It felt great to figure out where the other player was just based on sound, and be able to move towards them without worrying about getting spotted around a corner due to 3rd person.

Well yes, professional. He's paid to play games competitively. I'm guessing he understands sensitivity. As far as missing two shotgun shots, even the best people miss. If he has any obvious faults it's that he gets tilted easily and is probably overly aggressive.
Anyway, to keep it on topic:
I don't know if I've ever played a game where I have such highs and lows. For some of the losses I feel like the worst, and then on the wins everything works out.
Third solo match. Got 2nd... Yeah I was a cheap hider, but I at least managed two kills <_<
The winner had the Obi-Wan advantage over me.

Worst moment in the match for me though was I was cruising on a bow on the lake, saw the cargo drop and went for it. Thought for sure I was the only one, but right as I got there another guy sped off on his own boat away from it, lol

Had another win a few days ago, on an 8-kill duos run. For me, that's insane. Whole first half of the match, basically nothing happened, but once we holed up in Farm things got interesting. Think I blew away four complete duos, no solos or stragglers.
Like I mentioned near the start of that run, I'm not really a fan of the limited view range in FPP, but that's just because I prefer third person when things get more tactical. Maybe I'll come to get used to it, though.

Just got the MK14 for the first time and took out 5 people who came for the crate, it's a goddamn beast...and that sound, whew.
The handle of the pan sticks out to the side of your player a bit and can be hit too.

Why does the sound suck so much on speakers? On my shitty Samsung earphones that came with my phone I can hear everyone and judge the direction of gunfire/vehicles, but on expensive speakers I can't.
Really odd. I wish I didn't have to play with earphone all the time.
In games like Counter-Strike I can judge footsteps etc perfectly using speakers. Mixing problem?

Last update was August 2nd. They're reworking basically the entire engine so progress is slow, but it's still getting updated.
I was actually wondering about this as well. Have a few crates by now.

What happened? Mostly nothing----literally, game gets updates once a year it feels like. Barely a game when it hit early access, barely a game today.
Dean Hall got off that sinking ship a long time ago.
And everyone sees the same amount of grass now anyway, no matter what settings.
I run everything on lowest apart from AA, textures which are maxed and shadows are on low because they get too ugly on lowest. I do not do this to get a competitive edge, but to have 100+fps as much as possible.
But as long as you have textures on highest, the game doesn't really look that bad.
Thanks, reading a beginners guide and the first thing it said was turn foliage down to low, as it removes a lot of the long grass and makes it easier to spot players trying to hide.

Iunno, i play on low everything but distance, textures and shadows on high. The shadows jump from medium to high is so big, i struggle to drop it further. Def the most affecting setting

Bought this game with a friend a few days ago and it's mad fun. I have enough BP for a gamescom crate but it says you'll need a key to open it. How can I get such a key?
