M16 is basically a budget DMR. It would argue its better than sks and worse than m14 at the dmr role. Actual snipers beat it of coarse.

IMO the SCAR should have the ability to use a cheek pad. IRL the scar can be fitted with a cheek pad and even has a built in cheek extender thingy in the default stock.

Bluehole and PU have made some head scratching decisions when it comes to weapons. Here are a few of my gripes.

1. The vector is the most OP smg IRL, its fire rate and accuracy should make it superior to the UMP in game at the very least. Right now there is no reason to pick up the vector, its a useless gun. It was fine before the nerf.

2. The VSS is garbage IRL and in game. Why even add it?

3. What is it with using such boring, and relatively old guns, (AKM, SKS, Groza, VSS) when weapons like the Tavor, Atrax, 805 bren, SCAR Mk17, AK12, and other modern firearms exist? Its like this game was made in the mid 90s or something. All they need is an AK74 to complete the eye rolling soviet garbage parade. Is it possible the weapon choices are solely due to the maps setting (Russia)? I have heard that maps will each have their own weapons to fit a theme, but I think that might be a rumor.

4. If not a cheek pad, why can't the scar take a tac stock? A lot of scar 16 and 17 owners replace the default stock because it rattles terribly. It is a gun that accepts after market stocks.

5. Pistols should take muzzle attachments beyond suppressors.

6. Why does the same 762 ammo that goes into the AKM, SKS and Groza also go into the M14, KAR98 and M24? For those that are not aware the AKM, SKS and Groza use 7.62x39 while the KAR98k uses 7.62x57 Mauser and M24/m14 use 7.62x51 NATO. These are completely different cartridges. If BH is worried people would get confused they could just change 7.62x51 to .308 which is virtually identical to 7.62x51 and hand wave away the ancient KAR98k cartridge as many KAR98ks have been re-chambered into .308. Basically I am arguing that .308 should be an ammo you pick up for the big guns.

7. After my diatribe in 6 I am realizing that the SKS is kinda worthless when the AKM exists. Replace it with the 7.62x51 FN FAL (known as the right arm of the free world) if you have to use old guns. Would be great as a spawn DMR below the MK14ebr and above the AKM.

I don't know why people dislike the Vector. With extended mag and other attachment, thing shreds. Based on the stats between them coming from here and here, it seems like the Vector does more damage and shoots way faster (although I don't know the difference between the hit damage at the top and the numbers at the bottom so I could be wrong since hit damage is higher on the ump). Also not sure if those stats are updated after the nerf, which I wasn't aware of. I'm not sure how to compare other stats like recoil but they seem to be pretty similar. I could be wrong but the Vector feels like it may have even less recoil than the ump.

With that said the ump is way more forgiving because of higher mag capacity and slower rate of fire. With the Vector you have to hit your shots or you're pretty much dead in the water.

I finally bit the bullet and got this with a friend, it's pretty enjoyable and we had a lot of laughs, most notably whenever a car is involved things go to hell, and accidental teamkills. Even solo is pretty fun, the best I did was #4 but I don't expect to win ever really.

Anyone recommend high traffic areas that I can land into at the beginning, to try and kill people when I'm not just trying to win?

I had a fun round where I crashed in the lobby, managed to reconnect at the last moment before getting punted out of the plane with the AFKers.

Problem is, the circle was northeast and I was on the southwest part of the southern island. Instead of playing for real or even taking a vehicle, I chose to fuck around with a crossbow, during which time I hit a person who was stationary ~80m away a grand total of 0 times because you have no idea how to adjust the angle on that thing to account for the drop. Eventually I just shot him as he ran out of his house, but then he died to the blue so I just stood around wondering where the fuck he was until I found his box.



Then I had some fun duos, including one where I tried to do the crater jump where you can jump from the roof onto one of the warehouses. I... had never done this or seen this jump in in FPP, so instead I bellyflopped between the two guys I was trying to ambush, and tried to play it off like a surprise dropshot on one of them before dying.

Then there was the one where I fell off the apartment roof onto that little subroof of the opening hallway so I could shoot two guys coming up the stairs, but that's way harder in FPP. I still managed to individually down each of them once, but eventually I got bored and tried to run upstairs at them and died. One of them said "Nice try fuckboi" but then his teammate killed him, which was funny. I had wanted to live because I was 90% sure based on the kill messages that Grimmmz was in school nearby.

The biggest one is the military base on the bottom island, the town next to it has crates with a bunch of stuff in it and lots of fighting.

The 2nd biggest one (or maybe the biggest now) is the school south of Rozhok near the middle of the map. That's always a big ass fight.

Another place is to the northwest in the crates south of Georgopol.

On the east side of the map there's the prison which is also pretty high profile.

I use Nvidia Shadowplay. I trim the clips with the windows photo app

A lot of the weapon choices are likely carried over from the original battle Royale dayz mod (which was set in chernarus) and the ARMA 3 mod

Literally almost all the guns in PUBG can be traced back to those two mods. Mostly the original one

A few crates dropped really near me in my last game but I stayed back, probably saved my ass. Sneaking through wheat remains my best survival strategy in the endgame. Panicking at the final final area shrink cost me my first solo win though ;_;

Urgh, so close to tasting that chicken. Three of us in a tiny tiny circle, all lying down in the grass desperately alt-looking to try and find one another with no success. I still have no idea how there were three people in an area this small and we couldn't spot one another. One guy took a risk, threw out a molotov, and it paid off, he lit the other guy up, and popped me when I flinched. Never seen that strategy used before, but damn if it wasn't effective.

If someone is already landing hits on you, don't try to snipe them. The impact of the bullets makes a huge difference on your aim. Snipers aren't for shootouts.

To your example though, if the person with an SKS opens on the person with the M16, they should absolutely win unless they miss a bunch of shots.
