I'm trying to sell a key on the marketplace now but it's not showing up in my inventory.
You need to wait a week to sell it.

I'm wondering if it's worth buying like 10 keys to sell in a week. It's already selling for 3x the price for whatever reason, but of course after waiting a week it may tank.

Had a really interesting game on squads just now. Landed in the Quarry, inside the circle. Had it to ourselves, looted it up and found some half decent stuff. Made our way East following the circle, and then North. Ended up with ARs and SMGs with barely enough ammo. Zero long range scopes. Haven't spotted anybody, and we're down to 30 people.

End up in one of the little radar towers, one guy goes to chase a crate and stumbles across two people heading up to the radar tower. They down him and focus on the tower, I jump down and revive him. Now we have the flank. I take down the two guys and all our prayers are answered. Between them, 1 8x and 3 4x scopes, plenty of ammo and kit for our weapons, plus two silenced snipers. We take the ridge near us, 20 people left. We can see all of the other squads from our position, start opening fire on them when they're shooting each other.

Won the game without any of them even returning fire. Was one of the most chilled and relaxed chicken dinners I've ever been involved in.

Bought a handful of crates just for funsies, since I suspect the price is nearly as low as it'll go (might hit $1 ish a week from now), and opened em but man what a bunch of duds...

The river looked so thin on the map. I thought at high speed I could possibly coast through and avoid the bridge trolls. I was wrong. :(

So you kinda can, you just have to aim the car down in order for the wheels to touch the floor. I've made it through the river this way a few times. You have to be going fast too

Cruising down the river on my boat, minding my business, shot in the side of the head. Rude.
I want someone to make a chill exploration / scavenger hunt / whatever mod. Basically the looting and nice scenery but without the constant existential dread.

Do you think they'll ever add a way to crouch in a vehicle, Like in GTA? Granted this would only work in FPP as the trade-off would be increased safety for no visibility. Would be create some awesome moments of driving blind when taking heavy gun-fire.

Also what's playing with rando's like? All my mates are PS4 players and want to step outside of solo. Is getting a mic a nesscesity?

This made me laugh for some reason, imagining you casually driving through in high speed only to nose dive haha. Oh man, I feel for ya. ^_^

I think that the way carry capacity is handled is really boring. After the first backback you don't need to think wht to grab anymore. Looting feels lot more involved when doing challenges where you don't pick up a backpack.

It's funny you mentioned this because I literally died tonight due to looting.

I shot someone, tried to loot the body to grab their good gun, then found the ammo was too heavy.

I tried to grab a level 2 backpack. That might have failed due to the UI and lag or whatever. Eventually I was able to drag the backpack on.

The ammo was still too heavy.

After messing around and trying to drop other ammo and stuff for a while, I died because I took too long and couldn't make it to safety. So apparently even with a level 2 backpack and not much stuff (as far as I know), you can sometimes run out of space somehow.

You say that, and here I am with a level 2 or level 3 backpack and full to the brim with items and still needing to pick more up. I usually try to carry about 150-200 bullets for my two main weapons and share with my pistol type to one of my mains. That leaves me with space for about 4-5 first aids, maybe a med kit and about 3-6 stims of variety.

Honestly, the ammo is in no way enough especially towards the beginning where you are spending so much trying to nail people. I've found multiple times I'm unable to hold extra scopes when I desperately want to. I usually stick a red dot on my pistol and SMG and go for an AR with a 4x/8x but like to keep a spare to swap to my AR for CQC.

You are carrying way too much ammo and attachments. Bandages also takes a lot of space so cut that down to like 5-10 maximum. You never need 300-400 bullets, 100-150 for your "spray weapon" and 50-60 for your long range weapon is more than enough for anything.

God no, not with UMP and AR's at the start. You can so easily chew through a clip in seconds because any bullet in them is better than you dying. And I don't even bother with bandages, and sometimes not even a pistol with the current damage output. I usually try to stick with SR bullet count at max 100 so when running sniper build I have more space but for the most part I'm hitting it pretty hard on the limit. I'd rather have more than less and get caught out.

100 SR bullets? What are you gonna do, hold down the fire button for 15 minutes? With a bolt action you need like 30-40 shots

You don't need that much ammo because you loot people you kill, and if you can't loot them you probably shouldn't kill them. Always keep a hefty amount of free space available for quick looting of meds. Never run around with full inventory. So many people get caught looting because they have to fiddle with inventory space when grabbing scopes and meds of other people. Don't be that guy :p

Edit: Like I am also guilty of carrying too much ammo but I have severely cut down on looting ammo because it takes a lot of space and you will not use all of it anyway. As long as you can get like 150 rounds for your main spray weapon you are golden.

Edit again: Though I guess we should preface this discussion with what gamemode we typically play. I pretty much only play squads or duos and are trying to cut down on all the shit i carry. Also smoke grenades takes a LOT of space but are very useful so gotta keep that grenade count to something sensible too.

I don't get it...

Is this video supposed to be treating this like some way to elude campers?

All I see is two guys laying prone went AFK at the wrong time.

They were not afk, they knew we were there and we knew they were somewhere in the house.

Unless they went afk.

That's what I was saying, my goal is to have that ammo by the time it comes to third circle so I don't have to worry about looting and putting myself in danger. Obviously every game is different, I've won some with barely any ammo and scrounging as I go and others I've been complete on my build. I just like to aim for that end amount because I know at that point I am gravy and can focus on infiltrating without worry on loot, hopefully catching out those who are.

Yes but if you don't have room for a scope or quick looting of meds you are carrying too much ammo for the backpack you have.

Looks cool, although I'm not really sure what this is gonna add. I like the current crouch jump mechanic to jump through windows or reach higher barriers. It adds some depth to the movement.

Being able to climb the higher walls could be useful though, looking forward to trying it out.
The biggest addition to the game through vaulting will be maneuverability, because at this current stage if you are stuck behind a wall and there isn't any reachable gaps by either walking through of jumping over comfortably you can't change the encounter. With vaulting and proper climbing you'll be able to (and your enemy) jump over walls or scale buildings allowing for verticality where there currently is none or very limited amounts.

While the current "hack" of crouch jumping somewhat works, it is in no way acceptable and I very much welcome vaulting when it eventually comes. I especially love that animations are interruptible, a pet peeve I hate on games like Assassin's Creed because in a game like PUBG split-second decisions are always happening, and being able to scale back down with ease will allow even further change of landscape when battling.

I hope we get it next week for Gamescom, or maybe even this week as a pre-Gamescom treat. Would be awesome.

Yeah vaulting is gonna change city combat completely and any encounter involving fences or low walls.

The crouch jump is a awkward buggy mess and is not "adding depth" to the movement.

Climbing and vaulting needs to be really fast to make it a viable move in active combat. I don't see them doing that. So in the end it will be a high risk, high reward mix-up move

PUBG isn't a particularly fast paced game so what they showed off in that video is easily fast enough to outmaneuver another player even during a fight. In urban areas anyway.

Also Blizzard was blasting with wrong car. UAZ and Buggy both are very unreliable for blasting across rivers because of their top speed even in downhill isn't amazing.

Dacia is where it's at when it comes to crossing rivers by driving along the bottom.

I think that's a bad example. You need to be a lot faster if you're gonna rush a camper - if they weren't AFK or whatever they were doing, you'd be dead.

True, they were slow since it was 2 of them.
But anyway I win at least 90% of these fights against campers, dont even remember when I lost against 1.

What are your strategies for going after crates? Do you just try to get there as soon as possible, or do you hang back and clean up the mess afterwards? Or do you just ignore them completely?

I was playing duo last night and went after a crate I thought was clear but got shot from far away. My teammate was able to survive until the end and got the chicken dinner though.

Venfayth

I will go for crates if I am on a cold side of the map or if I have a 2 person bike.

If I know others are nearby I'll bait it, or if there are a LOT nearby, ignore it entirely.

Played first fpp 4 man squad games yesterday and they were so damn fun.

First game we dropped into primorsk with 2 other squads. It was a bloodbath for 5-6 straight minutes of fighting. I came out of it with 6 kills, and 1 surviving teammate... who couldn't find a gun at all and started running to beach town. The fight lasted for about 30 or 40 seconds in the blue and we had to go all the way to mylta for the white circle. Luckily the last 2 guys I killed had tons of meds and I found a boat. Picked up my buddy and made it to the circle... 30 people left and he still doesn't have a gun lol. We find a clump of houses to loot in the white and he gets an m4. I hit the most insane kar98 shot of my life. ~200 meters 1 shot 1 kill on a guy full sprinting. We lost shortly after that, but that was a really fun game. I love scrappy starts, looting for 10 minutes is boring.

Second game we dropped in lipovka and we killed half of a squad there. The other half took off in a jeep. After looting, we took a boat to the military island circle. Nearly to novo and we run out of gas... End up swimming for ~1.5 minutes to shore and a crate drops near by. Cleaned up a 3 man squad and looted an m249 and a 15x. I take the 15x for my kar98. Then we go to the top of the mountain observatory and the circles are all in our favor. We are just raining fire on people down below and no one can touch us. Eventually we had to move off the mountain due to the circle, but we still had superior numbers and positioning. We won that game with 0 casualties!

So damn good, I love fpp.

I think karma is real.

After looting the bunkers early I decide I need a vehicle since there's only 2.5 minutes until the zone starts to close and it's a long, long way away.. I know there's a possible few spawns heading in a NNW direction from the bunkers, so head in that way. It's not long before I spot a UAZ heading East toward the warehouse north of the bunkers, presumably for a little last minute looting. Figuring this is my best chance, I put my guns away and sprint in that direction. The UAZ is parked just outside and as I approach I get a look in through the shutters and see that the other player is upstairs on the balcony. I fancied my chances with the UMP from there but on the other hand, I thought it would be funnier to just take the car knowing they almost certainly wouldn't make to the zone without it at this point, with only a minute or so until the zone would start closing in. And so I do, honking the horn a few times as I drive off to rub it in, bullets tagging the rear of the vehicle as I do so.

Just to be extra sure, I head south to reach the road first and then follow it as it curves north. Sure enough, a buggy has either spawned or been left just past the curve in the road, so I jump out, shoot the tires out then continue on my journey.

Little while later I find myself on the edge of the zone just south of Georgopol hills, as it shrinks again, the northern edge of the zone literally touching the northern edge of the blue circle, meaning I've got fucking miles to run. As I head past the hills I hear an engine rev, so I look up and see a buggy. Shoot the driver out and go to take it but it rolls down the hill back toward the blue. I chase it and 30 seconds later I get in... and it's got a blown out tyre. Fuck.

Time to run, so I head north but decide to avoid the main Georgopol bridge and take the one a little bit east. As I approach, the zone's already taken me over but I spot a buggy parked at the far end. I'm saved! Or not, the fucking thing has no fuel left.

Pretty sure I'm dead to the zone after this, but just as I give up hope I spot ANOTHER car. Get in and nail it as fast as I can to the zone.

Sadly I die just before I get there and the momentum carries my lifeless body over the line to safety... Maybe I shouldn't have taken that person's car after all.

Came second. Could smell the chicken damn it. Got 2 pretty satisfying kills though. Was a great match. Just could not see where the last guy was.

I look forward to getting a new PC at the end of the year where i can have the game run a bit better as well.

Ditto, think my PC is hampering me big time.

Everythings on very low and barely running at 30fps

Can still snag a top 10 with careful play

I also finished second in a match during the weekend. I had a rough start with not much equipment found but the kills kept coming so I geared up that way. Due to inexperience and nerves, I fumbled around in the last duel but I was proud of that run too. 10 kills with a couple of outplays.

There was a guy I don't remember where that managed to get on top of a row of containers before I finished him off so I couldn't get to his loot box sadly. I couldn't waste time looking around and how he could get up there. It was beside a big hangar. He got there pretty quickly.

Aside from knowing people can't see you while hiding behind a door frame, I think the minor thing I like about FPP the most if that people can't look directly behind them while running so you can feel reasonably confident when you've actually been seen following someone.

Hope that desert map that screenshots were shown of isn't too far off, thats the main thing I want at the moment.. plus bullet penetration.

That could've been Georgopol (towards northwest corner of the map) or Novorepnoye (southeast on the military base island). They both have mazes of storage containers with wood plank ramps or piles of crates that you can use to get on top.

Ha

You realise each square on the map is 100m right

The river is at least 30m wide

Ive done this once but with a hill. Though it was a small mound until I hit it at 100km/h in my Dacia and got 10 seconds of air, followed by explosion and death
