Anyone else here never use auto fire? I basically never take my guns off of single shot aside from maybe SMGs which I rarely use anyway. I mean I feel like I shoot pretty fast even without full auto so I don't feel like I'm missing out. Feel much more in control on single fire.
(Also love the tiny freeze while shooting the second guy)

I keep it on auto while looting just in case I get spooked and need to spray. Any other occasion I'm on single.

I want to start using auto all the time just so I can get good at firing single shots with it on like the pros.

Here's how to drop fast.


Drop down vertically about 1 minimap square (or 100m) away from your intended drop zone, maybe slightly further away.

Try to reach max speed of 234km/h (this adds a lot; even being at 233 doesn't let you drop nearly as much) by pointing straight down and holding W.

Let go of the keys right before the altimeter triangle hits the white zone where your chute opens (this is the other part).


Together you'll end up still maintaining your vertical momentum while in the middle of your opening your chute animation, so you'll fall quite a bit further toward the ground before the parachute slows your descent.

I'm always first or second down, the key is not to drop straight down to your target. You want to start going straight down the second you see your destination on the minimap. So if you're going south to north toward the school you want to jump out a little early, right as the school is on the northern border of the minimap. Then use W while parachuting to get to the spot you want to land.

Damn, so yeah I was doing it sorta wrong. lol

Hopefully between this and tapping F at the line I can actually loot a gun at the school. I only really managed to get lucky once and loot a SCAR on the roof of the school at the start and killed 7 people, then ended up dying like 5 minutes later to some dude hiding in the corner in one of the rooms...

Last match I had 3 kills with UAZ only, two in the top 10. One tried to sneak up on me when parked; I pretended to flee then did a U-turn. Another was crawling prone in deep grass, but was easy to see with that seat height.

I've been maining UAZ all week, just making trouble.

I don't understand, how the shit is anyone stream sniping in this game? like, how do you even tell if you're in the same game as someone to begin with? and then to even know that particular streamer? and then not fucking die on your own even if you do know they are in your game and where

seems like so many factors that would make this an almost non issue, if people managed to get in the same games at all. it's just bizarre to me that it's a thing. is there some easy way to join a specific stranger's game?

We've gotten multiple squads in to the same server just by timing when the last people press Ready.

The burst one is great long range with an 8x scope. The M416 is great close or mid range though.

M16 has the highest velocity.

Drop in at the school or the military base if you need to practice close quarters stuff. It'll be frustrating as all hell initially but you will get better.

The M16 has higher velocity, I think. Making it a better ranged weapon.

Well I'm getting into the top 25 consistently, need to work on my kb+m skills though, doing ok with a Xbox one controller, but the aiming is just not there for me, I for some reason cannot use kb+m without it hurting, I think it's the keyboard tbh, but I am after a new one anyway so we'll see then

There is definitely something wrong with your kb, kb position, desk or something if it hurts.

I don't get how people are constantly touching ground before me every game.

I release close enough so I can do a straight drop down and then hold W during the parachute phase and yet there are still people who drop before me and even have time to loot a gun before I touch.

I have no idea if there's a glitch or secret technique. The only legitimate thing I know is that the drop height behind the plane is random, maybe on the order of 5-10 meters. Also, your parachute will open earlier if you're over high terrain. On a big flat plain it shouldn't matter.

This was reported as fixed months ago, I believe. I'd welcome new information though.

OMG. Just got my first chicken dinner ever!!!!!!!

Never gamed on PC till just over 2 weeks ago. When I bought my first PC mainly for this game. At 37 learning KBandM for the first time has been a challenge to say the least. Beating Doom on easy was a blast and a help.

My first week was difficult but not as bad as i thought, 1 great thing about PUBG is the ranking system(mmr?) being rank 1 million plus I noticed half the players potato just as bad as me! I got a 2nd and a 4th in my first 10hrs.

But lastweek with the stat reset I got a top 10 right after. Now instead of rank 1milion plus I was rank 8000. I was getting headshoted left and right from god knows where for the lastweek and was frustrated couldnt win a firefight for days.

I actually stopped playing for 2 days and just an hour ago decided to give it a try with little confidence after getting obliterated all week. I lowered my sensitivity some more then dropped school twice(practicing shooting) with just a single kill to show for it.

Then 3rd game the plane was nowhere near school so I decided to strech to pochinki to loot like a madman unimpeded and take it from there. I looted as fast as my noob ass 37 year old fingers would let me. 8 houses and a lvl 1 helmet lvl2 chest lvl 2 backpack and a m4 with a reddot and i check the map to see the circle far south, i head out on foot. I plan on oceanmaning it as yep the third circle is the south island. I see a bike, and chance the bridge. To my shock i cross the bridge fine and head to a group of 5 houses south of Military. No open doors so I loot a few houses. 1 min to go before next circle is Military. I want to hop on bike and go but I say to myself " we have 1 min lets power loot last 2 houses". I FIND A FIRST AID. If i bitched out and didnt loot those last 2 i would have lost! the FA saved me endgame! I hop on my bike right as blue is on me and go north military.

10 people left and Im in a warehouse. Ive still never seen a soul let alone fired my M4. 2 circles later we end up in area with all the oil drum barrels. 4 left and i finally see someone for the first time. Im behind him and get off first, kill him but take damage need to FA . I see the guy he was looking at and he sees me. The barrels are sick cover thou so I chill and heal. He misses me with a grenade. I move before he can throw a second one. We are face to face he has lvl3 helmet i pump his chest full of .556 now 1v1 the circle is moving in and buddy dies to gas! Booooom.

TLDR

Got my chicken dinner as noob to PC gaming
The MMR is strong in this game

Someone killed my teammate and ran into a building and shut the door. I slowly sneaked up to it...no one there when I finally got there.

I saw 2 people run to a wizard tower in the top 14 or so. I slowly circled it, sneaked up, grenaded the windows, noted the dacia with gas outside...and there was no one inside. I then died to the blue.

I have no idea how they could have gotten into the circle, they were so far out so late in the game, without taking the car.

I have watched him a few times because you keep saying that but I don't understand it. All the hours I watched him play he did nothing special and died fairly quickly. I also think he is pretty obnoxious. The streamer called "SilentSentry" on the other hand explains in detail everything he does which is very nice. He is also very good and only plays solo. I could learn quite a bit from watching his streams.

1.) You're not the only one with that idea, so have fun in a slap fight. This was the first time we dropped with the AFKs to see how bad it was, and there were three squads + the AFKs all just trying to farm. Another time we dropped in a city near the AFKs. Once somebody finished farming them, they ran into our city just to die so they could farm the next game faster.

2.) It's just not fun. I'm not trying to farm BP, I have enough from playing honestly. Now every game in the AM is literally 33% to 50% of the server all dying at the AFK site. Drops are pretty low risk and you just spend the first 20 minutes seeing nothing since the server is so sparse.

The bots need to go. The AFK mechanic could also be fixed so people who aren't bots don't sit there and farm or fight over the farm.

When you need to go further, is it better to go flat until you're close-ish then steep, or at an angle then steep?

What server and mode are you playing? In NA FPP I hardly ever see AFK / crash players that bad, but maybe it's a squad thing.

Be warned, this one can be infuriating to watch from time to time because he discovers the basics from video to video. They say you learn form mistakes, right? You see phases of him trying out and eventually ditching unsuccessful strategies. The cool thing is, you can be part of it and without spoiling too much: he certainly gets his chicken dinners later on. That gives me hope because personally I only came close multiple times.
