I'm not claiming they are lying, they are the developer in the end and clearly have the stats. I'm just saying it's bullshit because every time I've been on at those hours they've listed it has been perfectly fine in getting into a game. Hell if I die straight up after landing I can exit and join back into a new one just as quick.
It just seems really perplexing that they state 20% are playing in the AS servers because of the access to FPP yet won't bring all modes in to OCE to gain those who moved over back into the matchmaking pool. And as well that if it's less than 500 players matchmaking doesn't work as well, which to me seems strange because OCE should be at a decent population in the range of 300-500,000 so having less than 500 shouldn't really be possible.
It just sucks that once again we have a developer treating us like shit because of geography. We are actually being barred from game modes others are able to enjoy unless we go into their regions and suffer lag.

got two duo chicken dinners tonight. Feels good man
I still have only gotten chicken dinner in squad and solo. Duo is pretty tough with all the little blobs running around the map, especially if you never find a 4x scope (which was the vast majority of my games tonight).
Haven't played in months so was rusty as hell yesterday when I turned it on.
Couldn't find any good guns. Found a shitty Pistol, alright this will do for a while.
Ran to the inner white circle and hid in a tiny hut like a little bitch with my newly found crappy Pistol pointed at the door and I just waited. I waited until the circle was tiny and there was 9 people left alive. My hut was now not within the safe boundaries so I needed to make a run for it.
I run and run toward the white circle and I see a guy crouching and attempting to snipe someone, I'm right behind him. Perfect I thought, an easy kill and step closer to number 1.
I unload my clip into his back, I'm half wishing I went a bit closer to him as I'm doing it. My ammo runs out, I completely forget the game has no auto-reload as I'm hammering the shoot button to no avail. He turns around and wrecks me.
I shame quit the game.

What game mode? 3 hit point reward means different things for the different game modes (solo, duo, squad).
Also the numbers seems to have changed lately because I have had more than 20 hitpoints on 2 targets in squad and still not downed either of them (no healing). I think I got 15 hit points for a single downed enemy yesterday.
Duo, so I think it would have been 15 hitpoints for a kill. 3 would mean an arm or level 3 vest hit.

lol I do this sometimes on that rare occasion that I camp a building.
I can understand the frustration but I reckon there is a chance they are right. The reason you can hop in and out of games right now with ease might because of a lack of split playerbases rather than a high number of players. I just don't see a reason why they wouldn't implement the changes if the playerbase is there.
I've developed this terrible habit of moving way too early.
In a good spot, heavily armed and armored. Circle moves but instead of waiting till closer to it's moving I'll move 20/30 seconds before I need to.
Inevitably shot in the back while moving.
Akms tho. Still ridiculous. Especially silenced. Racked up like 11 kills in a game with it

My opinion on the ARs has come full circle to M16 > AK > Scar = M4.
I know the Scar has good stats, but it just doesn't feel that good to use. M4 with all slots filled also supposedly has better stats, but it still doesn't feel as good. It's just easy as hell to one tap or get sprays with the AKM.

Maybe, but he racked up a hell of a lot of kills in a like four seconds.
The other day I entered a building which had an M416 on the ground but without ammo, and then a first aid kit in a spot where it doesn't spawn. Hmm.
Prefired the corner where the guy had to be hiding and killed him.

As I said, I'm not the developer so I don't have the raw stats it just sucks when Bluehole are saying that 20% of our playerbase is playing solely on AS servers because of FPP, but then they go and add only duo. Add on top of that they clearly knew about this 20% earlier, so why take so long?
Edit: I think my biggest problem is after selling 9 million copies of this game the Oceanic playerbase is, according to Bluehole, still so small that adding in FPP properly will result in fracturing of the playerbase. I just can't fathom how that is possible, even in the fact that we are a smaller count than NA or EU but that small where if we have less than 500 active users the matchmaking breaks. That just doesn't sound right at all.
I don't know if it's because all skills are mixed in with FPP, but I'd say 8/10 of the time anyone opening a door does it diagonally just after running past it.

People beeping car horns were stream sniping (which is specifically against the rules) -- intentionally trying to get into streamers' games, cheat to find out where they were, and ruin their games and thus their stream and income.
Any issues you might have with the game are going to be things other than that.

Yeah, this is what put me off purchasing this game too - I went to the store page with the intent to buy but after reading all those I opted not to. I cant tell if its BS or not, but I got a bad feeling about it.

just fyi, there are people who are intentionally do this and then write a review when they get banned claiming innocence. not saying thats the case with these reviews, but i'd take any banned claims with a grain of salt. I don't think anyone in this thread has ever been banned for honking/camping etc.

It's a total load of BS. You're not getting banned unless you're intentionally griefing. There was some debacles with the way bans are handled sometimes, but it's not something the average player has to worry about. I'm assuming most of the negative steam reviews are either people who were caught griefing/cheating and are salty, or others using any kind of controversy to dump on the game because they already don't like it.
Whats up with all the concern "trolling" regarding these supposed bans lately? Both the other threads on PUBG sales and player count have 1-2 people being "super worried" about being banned.
Like are you even reading those reviews? "My friend got banned" over and over. Steam reviews for any popular game with drama will be complete utter bullshit because people flood the review section either with positive or negative reviews based on the latest drama involving a streamer. If there is a sudden influx of reviews all talking about the same thing? Just ignore that shit.

Don't have time before Friday, though. Playing duos with random strangers isn't bad, I must say. I had some nice matches thanks to some good match making.Played 750+ games so far and camped my ass off whenever I felt it was the best approach. Never been banned. It's a legit strategy in this type of game and well within the rules.
I think they are going too far in making streamers into some sort of protected class but if you don't stream snipe you have nothing to worry about.

Random fucktards making false claims are not facts, no. They got pissed someone got banned for it, so they decided to review bomb the game claiming it happened to them too.
It didn't.
Banning stream-snipers isn't making streamers a protected class, its preventing and punishing harassment. Because that is all stream-sniping is, harassment for the lulz.

Considering you can't prove 99% of stream sniping implementing that rule and banning people who didn't stream snipe and not providing them with any sort of proof i complete fucking bullshit.
Also, don't fucking stream if you don't want people to kill you. Rust/Garry mod creator said it best when he said this

I would tend to agree with that mentality. You choose to stream the game and turn it into something that makes $ for you instead of just playing it for fun like everyone else. Take the good with the bad. I'd rather every streamer have a miserable experience than even 1 of those other 10 million players be falsely accused of stream sniping and get banned.

If you're worried about bans for stream sniping, just don't stream snipe
It seems so easily preventable though. I can't see how anyone could stream snipe you if you just hide you screen and delay finding a match for just a few seconds. No way people could time that.

I took one look and thought what's the point:

I dont really like or agree this line they took with banning stream snipers, like others have said its streamers job to deal with it.
But anyway yeah those "false bans" are 99% not false.
Soooo many times in discord/reddit some people come shouting they are banned and they did nothing etc etc...
Then some dev checks the whole thing and says he did thing X, case closed.
