Yup.
Literally any change to the circle mechanics would be an improvement. And scrap red zones entirely (like they did for their own tournament)

That double barrel shotgun makes the early game so frustrating. Just remove it.

First match of the night is also perhaps my most interesting win yet.
First Kill.
So the circle appears and it's clear that I need to make my way to military island. Rather than deal with bridge snipers, I decide to go boat. So I drive up to the first boat I see but notice that someone's decided to guard it from up on a hill. He'd already killed 1 hopeful seaman. And even though he has me pinned down in a shitty position, he decides to push. And while I have some cover, I move up as well. He went from a great position to a pretty hopeless one. And I get my boat!
2nd.
So where do I take it other than this cute little island where nobody can possibly see me. Every now and then, I'd pop my head up to find people. Like this guy. Never saw it coming.
3rd.
When the circle started closing in, this guy tried to run along the coast. Easy pickings.
4th.
Eventually I had to swim inward. Luckily when you're underwater, you can see a lot. And I noticed this fellow's silhouette. He sure picked a strange place to try and climb up...
Win.
With just 2 left, I had to start mountain climbing myself. Figured there's no way I'd survive but somehow the other guy missed my awkward Skyrim climbing technique and I SCARed him for life. GET IT. SCAR.
I'll see myself out.
Just kidding, I'm back. 2nd match and vector for the fucking win.
Luckily this guy was too busy looting a corpse to see me. But boy, did he melt.
This was a sloppy. Knew the guy further back could see us both. I wen't for the easier kill first. Then moved up and just got lucky I had a level 3 vest and helmet.... AND a Vector =)
Not a lot of kills in that one as I spent a ton of time trying to replace a shotgun with a Vector. But I found one eventually. Pretty much knew I'd win after that because... Vector.
I much prefer when the match ends in interesting places rather than the middle of a wheat field or some random forest.

I normally play solo so I never run into many AFKs but I played squads today and there were 30-40 every game, it was madness. It really makes the game boring when half the server are AFK or hunting AFKs.

Well I guess it does depend on the game mode, in solos you are more likely to survive that but in a duo or squad they dont shoot at you, they shoot the car and the car goes "poof". It takes less than 30 AK bullets (iirc) to blow up a car.
Never been killed in a bridge, now... Under one thats another story

In a solo match got killed in such a spectacular way that I didn't even mind because it was so fucking cool and hilarious.
I already knew there was one player on the bridge, hiding and shooting but I had no choice...Mostly I'm pretty good at evading enemy fire with the covered jeep.
So I rush forward and get shot at in the middle of the bride. I get hit a little but I think I would have gotten through. A few seconds later I notice the guy shooting at another player who suddenly appeared just behind me, also driving a jeep. That motherfucker went straight for my ass! He pushed me into one of the car wrecks, passing me, turning around (doing a nice 180° slide) and mercilessly killing me AND the other guy who was still trying to get both of us from behind the cover. That was badass.

I think I just had my best round yet in solo despite not winning. Three kills that I took my time assessing, getting the drop on and lining up. Felt bloody good.

Keep trying, man. The circle can be some crazy good or bad rng for you. Luck is definitely a factor. Are you in the new circle or not? Do you have to cross an open field to get there or not? Sometimes you just cannot win. Other times you cannot lose.

After 5 hours i finally won!!!!
The last circle was really small on some cliffs and i was 100% sure that he wasn't behind me! There was no way he could be on my right so i was focusing on my left and front side. I stayed on the slope of the cliff so he couldn't spot me and i waited for him to appear...
I was also carrying a X15 scope which is crazy.
It truly is an amazing game with intense moments.

How well optimized is the game? I've got a laptop with a quad-core CPU, AMD GPU, 8gb RAM so should I be able to play it in proper potato mode. Waiting for Xbox release seems miles away.
Gonna need more detailed specs than that to actually have an idea. You could also just get a steam refund if it's not running well enough for you

Most people on dated CPUs (regardless of core count) and 8GB of ram are having some stutter and regular performance issues. This game really is best with new cores, minimum 16GB ram and an SSD. Most people all play with the settings down to hit juicy 60FPS anyways. I run on low/medium with a 1070 to put that into perspective.
Optimization is minor at best I'd say and one of the bigger things that needs to change. That said, you could always buy the game and refund it (Steam) if it doesn't run well.
I would be disappointed if he didn't. Nobody should want that shit associated with their game.

If people got banned for that stuff there would be plenty of people left, people who don't spout bigoted drivel at the drop of a Spetsnaz Helmet.

Does it matter where you shoot a car in order to blow it up? Or after so many bullets will it just go boom?
I've literally driven circles around people trying to run them over but they never kill me because they're going for headshots. Maybe to get my car? Seems like they'd have a better shot at just blowing me up.
Last time I had to cross the bridge, I said fuck it and took a boat. And there was still someone guarding the boat! (see my post above).

Do you know if you have to be using Afterburner to use RTSS because I'm currently using Asus software to over clock my gpu

Afterburner won't apply any OC settings until you change something and click apply. So just don't do that
As for your question though, I think you need Afterburner to actually configure the OSD (what to show, what not to show).
