I have lost so many clutch fights because I cannot control spread on an AR. UMP with a comp/grip is so much easier although without attachments I think they're comparable.

I have lost so many clutch fights because I cannot control spread on an AR. UMP with a comp/grip is so much easier although without attachments I think they're comparable.
m4 was always slightly rare, and they reduced scar drop rate like a month ago.

Yeah I know :/.Same thing happened with H1Z1..I believe they put a ping resection on the NA servers where if your ping was over 500 you couldnt join.

I'm using the highlight feature. I don't think those are saved in a temp folder, but if you want to tell me where that is I can check?
No idea, actually. I've only used Record and Instant Replay. If you open the GeForce overlay (Alt+Z) you can check the default saving location from there.

The feature works. It's when I press "save to gallery" that nothing happens. But it's random. Sometimes they save, sometimes they don't.

Are you saving them one at a time? I have to click each one and save them separately. Doing that on my PC moves the saved videos from a temp folder to the folder -> This PC>Videos>PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS which is the same folder my screenshots go if I hit ALT F1.

I got screwed out of loot (SMG and lots of pistols) but I got the drop on these two guys in one of the boulders the circle was closing in on in Mylta. They don't look up.
Same with an 8x scope and a nice tower in the next game. pewpew!

We don't know exactly. All we have is 'next week'. Also, the update will be on test servers 'at least 2 days before the update'. So, on test servers on friday at the absolute latest and everywhere else on sunday at the absolute latest.
Though I personally feel there is a good chance the patch will be deployed before the weekend because that's when people usually work and all.

Yeah, no. Not everyone lives in the mainland. I live in the Canary Islands yet I use the EU server because I'm part of Spain. (and because an African server doesn't exist anyway). And I don't even get bad ping, I have a 300/300 fiber connection after all. Region lock wouldn't solve anything, you will still get people with shitty connections.
Also friends that live overseas are a thing.

Check this out. This is my ping to every PUBG server.
As you can see, even though I live in Africa geographically speaking, I get good ping in EU servers. If they implement region lock though, who knows if they would recognize me as part of Spain. And actual African people wold get locked out for sure.

Last night my entire team was cut down by a dude with an UMP. Guy laser beamed us, on auto, while moving. I've been cut down by better players *MANY* times, but never like that.

I've not seen many cheats
In 58 hours of play I have seen one blatant cheat and one super suspicious cheat.
So if they are there they are not massively common.

I ran into one (I think) yesterday. Guy wiped out our entire squad with Kar98 headshots. All 4 of us got headshotted (including 1 in a fast moving UAZ) within like 60 seconds. I dont think he missed a shot and every hit was a headshot.
Either he was the most skilled player I have ever run into or a cheater.

Well this game runs like absolute garbage no matter what i do. It actually ran better on my gtx 780.
I currently have like every setting down, and im even playing on 1980x1080 resolution despite my monitor, and it is a stuttering mess that hovers between like 40 and 75 fps
it is basically unplayable because of the stuttering
is this normal? is it just unoptimized because its still early access? are people with similar builds getting much better performance?

Thursday is usually patch day, i'm expecting that.
Unfortunately, I think something might be wrong at your end. I get much better performance at 1440p on my GTX1080 / 7700K i7 machine, with everything turned up high except for effects and shadows. You could try doing the same just to see what happens. I've read some people claim that turning everything down like you have moves the bottleneck from the GPU to the CPU.
I've had good luck with "userbenchmark" for troubleshooting PC issues. If something is really suboptimal on your setup it will help narrow it down.

How much RAM do you have? If you have 8, consider trying adding 4 or 8.
Another issue i heard about is that you're GPU might have a temperature safety measure that make you stutter everytime is getting too hot. You might want try to downclock it.
I have a significantly lower conf (r9 200, i5) than yours and my game is running pretty decently (almost everything in low, obviously).

The stability is why I love it. Cant think of a better gun to have in this situation. I was sneaking up on a guy and he decided to hop into his car and drive away. I took out his tires so he had to get out, then I just sprayed him to death. I probably couldn't have controlled an AR so well.

Its on ssd currently, and I have Ripjaws V DDR4 16 gigs (its supposed to be 3200, but I think when the computer was set up it said 2133 and I dunno if thats something wrong or if thats how it normally works and I have to up it manually?)

I'm almost positive playing the game settings on all low/very low with a decent rig causes it to perform worse by off-loading resources on the CPU. The "turn up to highest settings for best performance" isn't a myth in my experience. I get the best performance on a mix of high/ultra.

Well, I have a decent rig and when my performance drops, I can clearly see it's due to GPU usage (99%) and not CPU. All you need to do is look at an overlay while playing to see where the issue is.
All parts seem fine so dunno where the problem is, some driver or something maybe.
To get 3200mhz on you have to enable XMP from bios.

Also make sure you're using something like cpu-z (on the right) to check and not task manager (on the left), at 3200 you should be seeing dram frequency of 1600MHz
