Nonsense. The UMP is amazing.

It's like a shittier 556 rifle.
I mean SMGs are fine and all, but I don't ever use them over the ARs at any range. So once I have one of them they become useless. Occasionally I use them if I happen to have a suppressor for them, but otherwise they might as well not exist once I have a rifle. Same counts for shotguns because they're so unreliable.

Finally bought this. I played a lot of H1Z1, so I wasnt sure I wanted to get this, but I did.

Ive only played a few games but I have a few general questions.

1) How do you use the scopes? I attach them, but nothing seems to change, even in first person view.

2) Why do i feel like im on ice all the time? When I run and stop, I like slide a little bit before coming to a full stop. It feels awkward to me. Is there a setting to change this?

3) Are there any graphical settings that are recommended? I felt like my game was chugging a little bit on high so I switched to medium, but I know my rig can handle this game.

Press right click. Don't hold it, just press it.

Originally they said it was ment to flush out campers, but like we can see it doesnt really do that.

I vote for removing it too.

You want to flush out campers, make the red zone poison gas that causes the drowning effect. I think that would be a needlessly shitty RNG game mechanic though.

I'd be curious if there is any scenario where the UMP has a faster TTK than any of the ARs. I used to always go for the UMP as my short range gun and an AR or SR for my longer range gun. All of my early chicken dinners were with the UMP for the winning kill. But lately I've been dropping the UMP for a full auto AR in most cases unless I have better attachments for the UMP or I'm short on AR ammo.

Inertia. Your character has actual weight and momentum so you can't just stop instantly or zigzag quickly.

You die soooo much quicker to the electricity than you do the gas in H1Z1. I had no idea.

Depends how late circle it is, last circles do a ton of dmg, first circles just tickle a bit.

UMP has great stability which makes it my preferred gun for cqc. Usually paired with a rifle with single fire selected for ranged engagements.

I hope not. I prefer more realistic games to games with ridiculous skins. I like to compare DOTA2 to LoL. Lol has ridiculous skins while DOTA2 has classy skins that are consistent with the world the game takes place in. It'd be cool to have cool items, but nothing crazy. I hate how H1Z1 looks with their skins. I don't need a clown sniping me or a guy running around in samurai armor.

I get that. But even the rare stuff looks so basic its not even like a reward. I feel like its all too samey. I get the sentiment of not wanting to go too crazy with stuff, but I think that just adds to the fun.

Maybe an option to turn off skins in the future would be a good middle ground?

But btw - Dota has plenty of ridiculous shit. I dont know that I agree with that comparison, but I get what youre saying.

Man that M249 is rough to use long range. I had a guy shooting at me from the hills and I was in the open field with it and a 2x scope and even tapping, it was difficult to control. I was out of ammo w/ my AKM. Doesn't help that I suck long range lol. Was great for destroying a dude in a vehicle gunning for me though.

M249 is incredibly stable crouching and prone, but significantly worse standing up. It also has a higher muzzle velocity than the M16. It is totally viable at long range. Maybe a bit tricky with a 2x, but yeah.

This might be an underrated thing in its favor. I might go back to favoring it over an AR for CQC.

I've been playing around with carrying a shotty til late game and trading it only for a sniper. It's ok, it makes pushing buildings more viable.

There is a bug though, and could mean that you have to double click RMB to scope. You can solve that by binding that action to another button, and then back to RMB.

I have close to 80 hours and all I've used to scope in is double clicking. I have died several times because of how unreliable it is, but I thought it was how it's supposed to be. Fuck.

Great round. My friend and I had no direct enemy contact during the whole game. Luckily killed 2 guys before they killed my teammate. Last Opponent thought ist a good idea to snipe outside of the playing area.

Even though I won it was one of he most whack games I've ever played. Long stretches of not being interactive combined with hitting people with snipers but not being able to confirm kills. Still won with a Vector though.

I agree that SMGs are typically just worse ARs but they have their moments cause "eco" and ease of use. I think the eco reasons were supposed to be big incentives to use them, but considering pistols are a detriment to pick up that kinda takes awayy part of that.

What's the bug? They're both separate ways of activating it. If you double right click, it's a hold action. If you single right click, it's a toggle.

Vector is an amazing gun with attachments and rips through anything thanks to the .45 ammo. Though for it to be viable you definitely need an extended magazine or 13 bullets will be gone in a flash.

I really think they need to up the base count of the vector magazine, 13 bullets isn't enough and you can sometimes go ages without finding an extended magazine. The UMP has 25(?) By default so maybe up vector to 20? It'd be a lot more viable for a player to pick up.

I drove up to a supply crate and it had a tommy gun. Didn't really want it, so I left it there and parked my car nearby. Picked a nice spot to snipe from. The next guy that game drove up and got out. I shot out 2 of his tires. He tried to drive away and couldn't. Then he saw my vehicle and ran to it. Oh? It has 2 tires missing too! Mua ha ha!

Then I killed him =)

I agree. Pretty high spread in full auto, too. Seems like burst is actually a good idea for that gun, but 13 is such an odd number. 4 bursts and you're left with a single bullet.

Check both the video folder and the temp folder? My clips got split all over until I changed the path in the settings. Unless you're using the highlight feature, which might still be buggy.

I spent like 10 hours double clicking until i read a reddit thread lol so you are not alone, this game needs so very basic tutorials and a hold to aim option desperately.
