You watching the official stream? Because that's just the spectator mode being shit.

Edit: This was not a particularly great viewing experience, though. I wonder what they'll do down the line to make it easier to follow what's happening. Right now it's really messy even if first and third person spectating wasn't as janky.

Picked this up two days ago, played a couple of matches yesterday. Pretty fun with a good build up of tension. My biggest complaint is lack of text chat. I know this game is EA, but text chat seems like such an incredibly basic thing that its absence is baffling.

I do sort of wish there was some indicator to where someone shoots you from. I know others will disagree but it can be annoying when someone is shooting at you and there just simply no way to tell.

Yup! The pan is the best melee weapon you will never use.

First time playing today @ 1440P on my 1070 and am finding it kind of janky. I know they are working on performance but are there any immediate tweaks that are recommended?

That was a great match to watch. The spectating overview mode is really great and the caster was doing a fantastic job. I was watching Lirik and the main stream in another tab and when it came down to the end it was so intense and hearing the commentary added to it.

It only took me one game to realize the giant difference in quality between this and other EA games of this genre. It just feels like the quality is so much higher.

it would be trivial to limit text chat to your parter or squad if desired. plus if someone wants to text chat with the group I think it should be an option. there really is no excuse.

Ahh come on about summit! JoshOG is pretty annoying, but Summit1g is a cool guy. When he was doing Pokemon Go he would chat up with everyone around him and gave stuff away. Hes awesome.

Yeah I can't watch JoshOG on his channel by himself, just too over the top sometimes for my liking. Been watching summit for a long time now, I appreciate how he always tries to recognize chat and their donations as much as possible.

Maybe I need to watch Lirik more but he just comes off way too cocky and arrogant to me. I appreciate that a lot of his viewers enjoy that part of his style, just kinda irks me at times. Seems like he also talks a good bit of shit to chat but that's again, my limited opinion from watching him.

Have you tried steam controller? It has a large learning curve coming from a normal controller but it's truly great and the only thing that can compete with keyboard and mouse players. Literally, I've played hundreds of hours of Rainbow Six Siege with it and do very very well, no one even notices I'm not on mouse and keyboard pretty much all of the time. I've played like 60 hours of Battlegrounds with it and it works very well. I'm still tweaking towards perfection with sensitivities but most of my deaths in this game are me making wrong choices, not my controls. I've won plenty of shootouts after learning the guns.

I do well with keyboard and mouse but I adore the controller for shooters and most of my games that I prefer it.

Do you have a profile you can share? I'm always keen to try my controller but most community profiles are shit and my own tweakings never feel "right" for me.

Yeah I have one shared, I don't like the most popular one either. Idk how the guy has played hundreds of hours with that.
Although I've come up with more ideas and tweaks to mine in my personal config that I still need to test out and I'll be uploading a new better one soon. I'll try to get it done tonight.

Lirik didn't even get into the third game and possibly other people too who knows but they don't restart like they did the second game. They need to work on knowing if everyone is in when a match starts.
