Ran into the school and popped someone, looted her body, heard someone pitter pattering around outside but they eventually (seemingly) fade away.

I watch around outside for like 5 minutes straight, then hop out a window when the circle is going to be somewhere else, get into my buggy...

and the guy I heard before has been camping my buggy in the parking lot for the last 5 minutes without moving

the amount of patience this game makes you have is incredible.

My new favorite is the M416. I go all call of duty when i get that thing with a grip.

The worst part was that I had sniped the tires off another buggy in the distance to deny it to anyone in nearby buildings and was feeling really smart until that happened.

On shooting tires, my last game I heard a dacia roll up as I was looting a building with only a pistol. I heard the guy from in the front door, so I went out the back and stole it. He ran out and tried shooting me. I spend the rest of the round doing circles around him. At a point he found a buggy and I shot out its tires. He tried to be crafty by hiding behind buildings and waiting for me to drive by.

In a roundabout way I helped him. Him shooting at me and me doing doughnuts attracted others for him to snipe. In the end the circle became too small, he got shot, I crashed the dacia in the water. Somehow got to #2 without killing anyone. Final guy caught me trying to shimmy up a wall.

Camping cars that people drove in with is a great way of getting geared without doing any of the messy looting.

my friend has this when he plays, his buildings will only load the first LOD and he cannot open doors and the like until a minute or two passes

Does he have a hard drive or an ssd? All my friends experiencing this are on hard drives.

The only clues we were there were the car we parked outside not facing East and the loot being picked over.

There circle got super small, and we heard a few vehicles pass by, some of them shooting at each other, but then we heard one squad around our house. One was outside on the ground behind us, and the other. We both had our weapons trained on the door, eventually the guy opened it and I lit him up with the M16 and he was down, then suddenly the glass on the small high window shattered, and at first I thought someone shot it out... Then I heard this "clank clank clank...BOOM" Perfectly thrown frag grenade through the window got us both. We were #7.

Anybody experienced these two bugs?

- Game freezes for several seconds when trying to open the inventory for the first time in a match. Really annoying if you have chosen a active area to start

- volume of people talking in the mic will very annoyingly increased tenfold during the first second when you spawn inside the plane.

use X to hide weapons, and use fists, good for punching windows out / run faster.

will still make a glass breaking sound so do that before anyone is near if your gonna post up.

Couldn't have done it without the vehicle spawn, very good tip. Need to make it more of a priority to lock one down in the early game

Is there a consensus best AR or is it just preference?

I feel the M416 is the most versatile and the SKS being best at range if you have a 4x or 8x scope

For me the M416 is my favorite overall.

M16 for long range (I consider SKS a sniper)

AKM for close

SKS is a sniper.

I like the SCAR-L personally, although AKM is probably the best

I'm very hesitant dropping down in remote locations cause more times than not I have a very hard time finding a vehicle, even when I use the map that has an overview of were the vehicles should be. It makes me very uneasy.

If you need to you can run across a lot of the map in the time it takes that first circle to close in. even going to very remote locations I've usually made it to safety


I wonder if the game would be more fun if it gave you more info on nearby players. Eg some visual indication where shots are coming from (right now I pretty much have no idea so I just run around in panic until I die), or blips on the map if people are running?

There's something about having to use your hearing to figure out what direction the shots are coming from, which is mostly easy with a good headset, and then focusing your eyes to figure out where the enemy is, while also finding cover.

Holy shit! I really dislike multiplayer-only games, but I caved in and bought the game after watching the Murder Island videos from the GB crew... I didn't think I would like this (what I thought was) Twitch-bait game, but holy cow, my first match was absolutely awesome! I'm still shaking! I placed 19/100, which is a thousand time better than what I thought I'd do.

Now I can see why everyone's so pumped about this game. Can't wait to play it more after work!

Totally agree. I like visual indicators in more action oriented games, but they would indeed ruin this game.

Man I died literally 3 minutes into the game in one game as I chose a drop point literally everyone else did, however it was the most tense minutes of my life

I managed to land on the roof but there was no weapons, I could hear and see other people around me moving in, it was then I spotted the guy also on the roof of the building coming up to me and he had a found a shotgun, I dived to the floor hiding behind the stairs but he saw and wasted me, GG sir.

I agree. If we all would have the same headphones, this wouldn't be an issue, but not everybody has a good enough setup. Have an indicator, if a shoot misses you barley or at least when you got hit. The character should feel from which direction, he got shoot from.

I also hope, they force high grass to always be displayed, even if there are just one colored textures. It's sad, that you can't hide in grass, since you don't know, if your opponent has lowered his graphical settings.

We kept running around on the start island telling everyone to meet us in Pochinki because there would be a dance party and rave. We kept jumping out to Pochinki every time and barely anyone ever came.... till our last game when literally 30 people landed there

Can only imagine how it "runs" on PS4 and Xbones given how it runs on PC's now. I'm sure the work on optimization they're doing on PC will eventually help the console ports.

If you can find an extended mag it becomes one of the strongest weapon for close/medium combat. It tears through ennemies.

Considering picking up this game, but having a hard time justifying the cost (as I am a dirty, filthy poor). I know money can be made by selling cosmetic items, and I've seen some mention of people recouping the cost of purchasing the game. I'm assuming that would require some serious time commitment and/or serious skills, though, am I correct? I've never played a game in this new-ish genre before, and I'm pretty rusty on shooters in general, so I'm assuming I'll be terrible.

They did, but even then grass has set rendering distance so you can't use grass to hide over longer distances. That is same for all setting levels.

Even without extended mag it kills player in blink of an eye. 13 rounds just disappear from the mag and appear inside of target. Slap on grip and basically all recoil is gone.

People are making money by selling cosmetic items that are exclusive to special pre-order version that isn't available anymore. For you making back 30 wouldn't be easy if possible at all at this point by selling cosmetics.
