Hit a dude a few times as he ducks behind a tree, tag him once or twice more as he pokes himself out, pill up as the blue is right next to me, he runs first after the blue hits, I Saiga him, and I hear him whining that I camped in "the smoke(?), wowwwwww" while his friend calls me the F word.

Bullets don't penetrate water much.
If you quit to lobby, does a body remain that people can kill and loot? Or do you poof and take it all with you?
Also, somewhat related, am I the only one who hides valuable items (particularly in the early game) when sensing an encounter that might kill me? Yeah, I'm petty. My duo partner was killed in the early game, so I hid an AR suppressor and 4x scope where no one would find them before going to get revenge.

Bodies disappear after like 10 seconds, your loot will not.
So you're saying after 10 seconds your character vanishes and anything in its inventory vanishes with it, or are you saying that the character vanishes and its inventory spills onto the ground?
The inventory remains in a crate.

CHICKEN DINNER!!!!!!! My hands are shaking...for a change the other people had no clue where I was at the end. WOW...Saved and uploading that match to youtube so that when I never win again, I can play the video and remember that one single lone fading memory of a time I was a king! lol

I love hearing people talk after you kill them. The salt can be delicious.
On the flip side, I hit someone with the crossbow for the first time the other day. Caught up to him while he was crawling away and he points out over voice chat that I shot him in the butt. Turns out I did and hadn't noticed. We both just sat there laughing.
For as bad as voice chat can be, the goofier moments like that are why I like to keep it on.

Solo land in military base, 3 kills with the 1911, proceed to kill everyone else there. 7 kills into the base, pick up a silenced K98, continue to kill everyone in my way north without taking a single hit. Headshot a guy at 300 meters with a blindshot (4x, but couldn't see him through the woods)

Got my first win out of 91, I killed seven on the way to the top.
The best and most important was number three, he had gun with an 8X scope but I was able to get around him and kill him with my shotty. I then took his gun and headed to the hills where a spent my time slowly moving from cover to cover until the last few people.

Got a few games in last night. Every game didn't see anyone till the circles started getting tiny. Each time I move to keep away from the blue and blamo killed from nowhere.
Got one savage kill tho. Don't know the distance but I was top of the hill and he was running into the town. Managed to down him just before he got into a house. Was super proud of myself.

The game wasn't choppy for me (ddr4 2133 16gb) but framerate was all over the place between 30 and 60 on my 6500
I mean, no real pause stutter for what I can see
Nothing is guaranteed to help right now.
I've got an i7, 32GB of good RAM and a 1070, the game still chops up and runs like shit sometimes.
The next monthly update is your best bet:

I've got an i5 4690K with 16Gb RAM and a 980Ti and I find my performance on ultra at 1080p to be pretty acceptable and cannot say I have experienced much at all in the way of choppiness.
What do you mean by choppy? Maybe I just don't notice because I mainly play on consoles.
I have a modest gaming build with 16GB 2400 RAM, G4560 and 1050ti, and have been nothing but pleased with the games performance. Settings on medium-ish, some low (shadows / foliage), some high (draw distance, post processing). I get a smooth 45-70 fps
I get the impression, based on no real science, that more RAM, and faster RAM helps this game a lot.

After 39 hours, chicken dinner is finally mine! This really was an against all odds match: poor drop, sparse loot, a few close shaves in a jeep that nearly picked me off... but in spite of all that, the circles ended favourably on Rozhok which meant for some sneaky creeping in and around buildings. The tiny final circles landed even better for me, and after a lucky couple of kills with one guy left, the circle closed in on me and the other last player standing. They seemed to lose their nerve to leave their 2-storey building (whereas I was outside, shielded by an outhouse but could move with the final circle) and they actually died in the blue to hand me the win.
My heart is still racing, I can't believe I finally did it!

For anyone with a 6X00 or 7X00 series i5 or i7 it probably won't improve performance but if you have something older it should give you at least a 10 FPS boost. The default setting is auto but the game doesn't seem to use all cores on older processors.

This helped me out a bit! Thanks for sharing. Getting minimum 60 ingame now. Not sure about the towns, but definite improvement.
You just do not see players who are in plan sight someones....glad its not just me

Are there any similar improvements for AMD cards? Performance is literally the only thing that bugs me about the game.
its a crate drop and uncommon even in those as far as ive noticed in all team sizes
Here's my unedited, way to long and boring first chicken dinner match. I really didn't do anything of merit until just before the 26 minute mark.
The last couple circles I just out stealthed the remaining few using terrain pretty well. (aka - if you are pretty sure you are hidden, let everyone else kill eachother) I wasn't about to go hunting the last guy, I'd have laid there for a hour waiting for my shot.

pretty sure the syringe is yet to be released, I'm not sure what it does but I would expect its like super painkillers.
I've got one in a crate before, all I play is solo. I think they're only in crates. They give a full boost all at once instead of having to do 2 painkillers or energy drinks, takes 10 seconds so idk what the difference is really worth.

It's definitely in, the syringe basically just gives you a completely full boost bar instantly.

First time playing a squad game, just matched with some randoms but even without any voice chat it felt pretty cool. Running through an open field with 2 squadmates when we get lit up, everyone drops to prone. I crawl around towards a rock, not knowing where we're getting shot from, when I see a couple dudes pinning down my 2 squadmates. I actually shoot and take them out for once! We proceed to keep running from the blue circle when we see another dude off in the distance running away from the blue circle too when I just drop to prone and sniped the guy with the KAR98. I proceeded to die as I got cut off in the circle but it was worth it.
Felt super cool because I usually have garbage aim but it was refreshing to have the jump on some guys for once instead of simply being on the receiving end.

View distance is a big factor of stutter since it's reliant on your drive speed. If you're purely going for FPS, rule of thumb in general, shadows/lighting/post processing are the biggest performance killers. 'Effects' being set to low is pretty silly.
Ah that makes sense, I stopped bothering with them a long time ago.

Bleh, bad rounds today. Awful RNG, and one round where a guy managed to get inside my house without me hearing him (or I somehow missed him while clearing and he waited for 5 minutes before coming up behind me)

I don't know if it's my machine, or the game, but I've had it freeze on me half a dozen times today, half the time requiring a hard reboot.

I really really like this game. Or better yet, i really really like this GAME MODE. Unfortunately i don't have a lot of faith in this dev team fixing the net code anytime soon. From the way it sounds they are going to wait for epic to do it for them, which will take forever.
I guess i should stop playing and wait for something like it to come to ps4 (im not that great with m&kb). If ubisoft was smart ghost recon wildlands multiplayer would be identical to this game's squad mode.
