Playfire Rewards Discussion Thread

How do you get a key for Smooth Operators from Indie-gala?
It was part of IndieGala 9 and igbwiki states that a key is avaiable.
But nothing shows up at IG, there it is still shown as a DRM-free game.

I have the same issue as you. Emailed IG and they sent a Desura key, but there's no Steam key associated with it.

Anyone want to do the FootLOL Multiplayer achievement? I bet it would only take a few minutes.

-----

It looks like the VVVVVV devs fixed the bogus Lab achievement since it's no longer unlocked for me. I hope that doesn't trigger anything weird with PF.

New rewards for today.

I'm only missing the .25 and .5 achievement for Tiny & Big and those are secrets, not progression-related. I'm not finding any easy guides either.

Clay Pigeons is supposedly in level 3.

I think I have Tiny and Big via GOG so no dice on that, but luckily I hadn't started World End E. yet XP

Clay Pigeons is supposedly in level 3.

I'm only missing .5. I think the .25 achievement is in the 4th level right before the Dark Passage achievement.

Hey man, it's only a dollar via Steam and GMG.

Sucks that I already enjoyed Tiny & Big too much before playfire rewards came up. :(
Only missing the .25 achievement.

The pigeon achievement is stupidly difficult. Not worth the frustration.

If you want to experience it yourself, it's in level 3 about half way through on the bridges when you see a giant red arcade cabinet. Get to that and use it.

Hey now I'm not one of those those GAFfers who buy the same game AGAIN just to have it on their Steam library!

We had the sale last week and my team's a man down this week, so I couldn't get it out on top of everything else I had going on. Should return next week though.

Thanks for clearing that up. Good to know that it will be back next week. The rewards from the sale were incredibly generous, so one week without H2H won't do any harm

Unlocked: Jan 12, 2014 6:07pm

Can't be that hard, if I made it without being in a hurry. :D

I have 2 I can do but they are both for online components of games that are pretty much dead. Max Payne 3 - Dearest of all my friends: kill someone from your friend list. Also one in Arkham Origins - Know Thy Enemy: take down all 6 players in a match or something like that.

If any people need help with the same things I'd be glad to help for help in return. Here is my steam for anyone interested in those 2 achievements.

Good to see Tiny & Big on there. Have yet to play it and thus I get to collect trading cards and Playfire Rewards. Got a fun weekend ahead of me...
EDIT: And a F2P game? Neat. Only a 2GB download. So 2GB for 10 pence.

I don't think Playfire is tracking my games. How do I fix this? First time I signed up in April it tracked my games but nothing since then.

Is your profile public? If it already is and it's not working, you need to contact support.

Starting to think Playfire is getting a bit shifty.

KnightShift - play for the first time - £0.10
Night Shift - play for the first time - £0.10

Somebody has a sense of humour.

I know it has been said before, but Playfire works very well as a motivational tool: it's this weekend that I'll finally play Gunpoint.

I know I'll love it (I enjoyed it even during the very early alpha/beta test or whatever, back in Feb '12), but for one reason or another, it has been buried in my backlog since it was released.

The fact that I might pick up a few cents in store credit along the way is a very nice little bonus, but I've played more games, and a greater variety of them, since Playfire came to be. Probably enjoying gaming as much as ever again as a result.

Gunpoint cheevos are very easy to do, if you watch these videos.

Perfect Gentleman -£0.25
Crossfire - £0.50

£0.10 one requires you to complete the game, but it doesn't take more than 3 hours

The problem with the Perfect Gentleman solution is it requires the door kicker skill (I think?) which costs a lot of money.

If that is correct, an easier solution (or otherwise) might be to create a custom level. I created a simple room with a guard on the roof and the objective below. Completing the room popped up the achievement.

Nabs pointed out to me that you can just chop up any pigeons, not necessarily all of them, and the game gives you the achievement eventually. So it ended up not being too bad.

The ones that shoot up super fast aren't meant to be shot. I think that's where you ran into issues.

I'm pretty new to this Playfire Rewards thing. I had my playfire account for 4,5 years and just linked my Steam Account 3 days ago. The problem is, I was already registered at GMG with another email address (the one I use for Paypal, too).

When I heard about playfire rewards I signed into GMG using my playfire email + pw and in doing so, created a new account which is against GMG's TOS, right? Is it possible to merge these two accounts? As I said, I had my playfire account long before GMG acquired playfire. Should I contact the GMG support about this or just keep both accounts and hope that I won't get banned?

Contact Playfire support and explain the situation to them. Ask them to unlink your Steam account from your old Playfire account. Then link it to your new Playfire account where the email matches your GMG email.

I did the exact same thing and it worked out fine for me.

Marlow Briggs is only .99 cents. How hard is it to get all the acheevs?

You could get the .10 one within about 10 minutes, the others take at least 3+ hours and it's on the last day anyway so you wouldn't get credit for any of them at this point. It's well worth playing though.

Thanks for the tip, I did both in a level I created pretty easily, though it took me a while to figure out you have to have 4 batteries in order to crosslink the weapons, which wasn't mentioned in any of the achievement guides. Funny that the 0.10 is the hardest one to get.

And I just realized all rewards for the Ichi achievements I got have expired. Oh well, game was pretty creative and it didn't take too long.

Just completed "Waste Truck" in Space Run. Phew, that game was quite stressful but amazing! Still two missions from completion tho.

So supposedly the connecting your steam account to your playfire account earns you 50 cents, but I dont see it in my rewards page, same with the email newsletter.
Does it take a lot of time also for those two to appear?

EDIT, just got the newsletter one but not the connect to steam.

Hm. Now vouchers cannot be applied with credit.

Seems to be the rule these days generally. I can't really fault them, the vouchers can be there for normal customers and the credit is more than generous enough on its own. I used my 25% off voucher during the sale for the XCOM collection and just paid out of pocket because it was worth the savings to me.

That's weird, because last week I tried and it worked.

I'm working on the South park achievements. Didn't get any of them on my first playthrough. Gotten 2 so far. Going to start up Torchlight 2 after that.
