Eh... Not really stoked about that. Don't plan on buying Ascension day one.
Okay, time to dissect the wording of Seth Killian's blog post! Well, just bits and pieces of it really, but still.
Several times Seth calls Isaac and Zeus "new surprises" the and the "newest challengers," and nowhere is there an air of finality in anything he's saying. Because Seth is a stand-up guy and PS All-Stars has the heavy/hardcore community backing it does, I feel like SSM would just come right out and tell us if these were the last additions to PS All-Stars we were ever going to see.
That said, in his Kat/Emmett blog post, Seth came right out and said to expect the next character announcements in March, which he does not do here with a new timeframe, so that could be bad. What he does close with is "I’ll have some more details coming on the new challengers in the coming weeks," and that's a bit tricky.
Does he mean he'll have more info on Isaac and Zeus in the coming weeks, or is he saying that the coming weeks will bring information about other new challengers? It's hard to say, but while the wording would suggest the former, one thing to consider is that there isn't much more he can really say about Isaac and Zeus; between his 30-minute breakdown with IGN, this blog post, and the official site update, we know everything about them: their moves, supers, play styles, and what they'll cost. So maybe he really is talking about some totally separate new characters?
Well, in the end all we can do is wait, see, and trust in Mink.
This waiting is gonna suck, though...
Problem is that if you open the new game, then you have to exchange for new GOWA since you can't really return new game.
Yeah, I know. I was just being facetious.
Hopefully one of my friends will buy Ascension and I can just bum the code off of them...
