At this point, the PSX is just as hyped as, if not more than, any E3. The hype from us fans, developers, and journalists is almost as high as it can go.
They need to go big.
Most of the megatons will be during the Keynote. Almost all of the time afterward is already planned and posted online. There's only one Mystery Game spot.

Largely implied most, if not all will be at the keynote.
Besides, in the month leading up to PSX, they've already announced like 2 dozen 'smaller games' on PSBlog.

I would like to see something new and amazing. The remakes or reboots would be great for all of you fans of them so keep the hype train rolling but the only one I'd personally be even remotely interested in is a new Crash. (Shenmue doesn't hold up! Don't care about a FFVII remake) If done right it could be really awesome but they'd have to be very careful with it. The only sequels I'd care for won't be announced here (Fallout 4, for one).
That tech demo(?) sculpting thing that Media Molecule showed at the PS4 announce event was something that really caught my eye. I wish that would come to fruition in some way.
Either way, No Man's Sky and Uncharted 4 stuff will keep me happy. Here's to hoping for a phenomal event. Keep up the fun in here!

The only thing that would come close to an FFVII remake or remaster for me is finally announcing Half Life 3(which wouldn't make sense for a Playstation only event) or another Chrono title.

Pretty much.
SFV being possibly the biggest announcement would be...not too impressive. I mean this series has been going for 25 odd years and spawned tens of games. Despite what they said a sequel was a no brainer. PS4 and PC was a surprise, but in terms of impact...I don't think it would be close to a TLG reveal.

Didn't L4D2 debut at a MS E3 conference? And didn't Portal 2 debut at Sony's E3 conference a year later? And aren't Valve obsessed with VR and isn't Sony about to launch a VR headset on their very popular new console?
But yeah, HL3 won't be there, which sucks.
