The announcement trailer is bringing back a flood of nostalgia from the infamous Killzone 2 trailer to the Metal Gear Solid 2 reveal. I'm literally pumped and haven't been this excited over anything in a while.
Taking the day off from work just for this Playstation Meeting.

Don't forget that Kaz Hirai isn't the CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment anymore, Andrew House is.
So he won't be the host, just like Stringer wasn't the host of Playstation conferences in the past
Still of course PS4 is a very important product for the whole company and Kaz is still strictly linked to the gaming side of it, so he will be there making his speech about PS4, probably talking and introducing the biggest innovations that it brings.
omg for the love of god livestream that shit sony
Screw innovations.
Give me pure power.
but what if it's not D-:I think that's a given.
It would be too expensive but I wouldn't be surprised if it's an option for consumers.

Yea, the Vita Playstation Meeting was live streamed, and as soon as I saw the hardware, I had an extreme rush of euphoria everywhere throughout my veins that put my mind in a shocked state. The good thing is that this time it will actually be in English.I think that's a given.

No bullshit like copying Nintendo's WiiU or making Move one of its features.
Just a system that can deliver ridiculously great looking games without going into the PC price range.

Gimmicks aren't innovation.Right, as long as they look good, who cares about trivial stuff as gameplay, innovation etc?

With PS1 sound kicking in..

This will kill them.
Gimmicks aren't innovation.
Gimicks wasnt Sony's expertise anyway.
Look how well these this things got supported by both devs and gamers:
PS Eye
Move
Vita's Front and Back touch, front and rear cameras.
And look how the PS1 and 2 did without them. Except for Eye ofcourse.

Oh boy, on February 20th only death could take me away from a computer screen

I'm pretty sure they have.Related subject.
Why hasnt' SONY Santa Monica formed a full second game development team by now. They are creators of the biggest SCE property in God of War. Where is their B team creating something new. I know they have assistance production duties with other developers, but still.
X-Box Live was innovation. That was a good thing to force the other console manufacturers into online. Shoulders buttons were an innovation. Rumble was an innovation.
Many innovations are what have transformed this industry into the things you like today, more often than not. More innovations, therefore, are needed to continue its evolution.

Definitely thought MS would be first to announce.

Lol.Where is this gif from?
this is very late for Europe. Around 23:00 if I am not mistaken. Silly considering how important PAL market is for Sony
So do you think they might show the actual hardware or just talk about their philosophy when it comes to next gen and have people wait until E3 for the hardware and games?
Uh, you think that I think that Live or shoulder buttons aren't innovations? Motion control remains a gimmick. I put more value in OR than I do in Move.X-Box Live was innovation. Power can bring about more gameplay innovations than slapping a screen on the controller or waggle can. It's all about who will actually do it.
Ummm...I remember playing quite a few PS2 games online.

Sony revealing first tells me a couple of things:
- The specs for both consoles are pretty much locked-in.
- Sony is very confident on how the Orbis will match-up against Durango.
- Sony is determined not to make the same mistake in letting MS go first, both in reveal and launch. They intend to start this generation on the offensive.
