for worst or best lol? I thought the first game's ending was actually pretty good. Not the very end, but the last chapter.
For best, of course. It's one of my favorite games ever.
TOTP: Buy Danganronpa.

DanganRonpa 2 has the worst ending of any VN of repute. Un-fucking-believable
Junko's still hot, though. Guess that's cool.

Weird looking Action RPG for PSM: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm25332686
I have noticed a lot of Japenese PSM games lately. Maybe they are selling over there?
Seeing the kind of garbage Sony lets onto PSM with lax checks I think it more has to do with the gates are wide open for anyone to dump whatever they want lol.
The Japanese PSM games I have looked at seem to be a lot better but few have English text. If the Solbrain guy is from Japan, I take that all back but that game has all the markings of some white guy who is trying to do Japanese stylings.
Is there a PSN equivalent for Steam's IsThereAnyDeal.com?
I just picked up a PS4 and was thinking about getting some games, but didn't know how often they went on sale.
I've already picked up PS+ and just trying to maximize my purchasing potential
RE: Atelier crafting.
In some ways, the games have a fantastic crafting system. You gather materials from each location (fighting often optional) and then go mix things together. Everything has traits and grades, and the crafting is very deep. You're often crafting stuff that is just used to make other stuff... but carefully managing how traits get passed down the line.
For example, (making this up), say you've been making everything with 'water' and you find 'water' with the trait 'holy'. You now remake your mud (water + dirt) with holy water to pass along the holy trait. Then you remake your mudcake with the new mud. Then you remake your 'dinner' with the new mudcake. All so can get high level food with that 'holy' trait, but now multiply by tons of traits and ingredients and recipes. Etc.
Where it all falls apart for me (as does the entire game) is the time limits the ones I've played impose. Crafting X might take 10 days. Another thing 5 days. You've got a time limit on the entire game. And while the time limit may be generous and not particularly strict, I find it extremely stressful and it makes me feel like i'm always crafting the wrong stuff (even when I'm probably fine). (There's also some related game I played that had a weird roulette mini-game built in that made crafting infuriating, but I'm not sure which that was)
I've tried two of them, got pretty far, and gave up on both. It doesn't help that they're a bit... cutesy for my taste. I'm much more at home with darker and/or mature themes than I am with lollipops and rainbows.
The associated website Lightning Games or whatever says that its based in California but the support address is for some country in Europe.
I clicked the spoiler on about dangronpa 2 by mistake.... and I just started playing it a few days ago... Whatever I should have know after I see user on gaf with that avatar.
I've encountered multiple spoilers, but I don't really remember any of them because they didn't make sense to me.I'm honestly amazed I've managed not to spoil myself with the Danganronpa games considering how often spoilers come up for that game. Want to keep that way when i eventually get them
Japan is Vita's best single territory, so PSM titles doing okay over there wouldn't surprise me. I think the proliferation of professional, or at least semi-professional Japanese PSM games is a result of the indie floodgates not being opened for regular PSN
(1) The mods of GAF are anything but consistent. Through personal experience and that of posters I've known in my tenure on this site, moderators use their power in a lot of ways that aren't objective or fair. After having contacted no less than 3 moderators trying to report someone's extreme personal attacks on me and my family (for no reason), I eventually got a response to my "business-like" demeanor which was merely to use a PM warning to the poster in question. Meanwhile, people like Takao who remark on a company's choices of where to port a game get banned for "port-begging", I've been banned for voicing my opinion on a developer, and I've seen other banned for stating their opinions on other matters because certain mods have personal vendettas or take more offense to a comment than 99% of GAF would in general. Futhermore, I've seen mods sweep issues under the rug in community rather than let the community work it out, closing legitimate opinion threads aimed at discussion and awareness because they felt it was trolling for some reason, and a bunch of other questionable decisions. in my personal experience, moderation on GAF is pretty much a joke as people are given power and seemingly left to their own agendas afterwards. From my experience in the last 6 years, they're only responsive when they want to be and when it suits their interests. Maybe you've had good luck with them, but as far as I'm concerned, time and time again they've given me little reason to believe in their fairness, objectivity, and willingness to enforce site TOS and guidelines.
Again i'm just amazed i haven't spoiled anything considering how often it's talked about here.I've encountered multiple spoilers, but I don't really remember any of them because they didn't make sense to me.
I`m honestly want to play this series blind like i did persona 4 so i could enjoy it at it's fullest. The week that I played DR2 I totally avoided all Vita threads and YouTube too. I made the mistake of watching the awful anime adaptation for DR before the game came out here. Went into DR2 blind and it was great.
Aena answered your first point very well, so I'll answer your other ones...(2) Sure, Hotline Miami had a PC version... but if you're in a console thread talking about console games... it would follow that you'd be talking about controllers, not kb/m (unless it's some strange game like UT3 on PS3 where you could use USB kb/m if you so desired).
(3) As far as Bayonetta 2 goes, SEGA owns the IP, Nintendo merely funded development. So it's not like asking for the next Zelda game to be put on xbox/playstation/pc. However, I think you'd get a similar response should you make a thread about Halo MCC needing a PC port. Whether you "derail a thread" because you're saying "this should come to my platform of choice" or you go and make an entirely new thread dedicated to it, port begging is port begging. I personally think the "rule" of banning for "port begging" is fucking stupid to begin with, but this goes back to (1) and the consistency of GAF moderation.
agreed, on both points lol
How many hours/week (or /day if that's easier) do you guys put in to actively moderating? I've always wondered how much of a time commitment modding a big board would be.e) Being a moderator on this forum is a volunteer position, which means that, yes, we will only do work when we want to. I should hope that this does not come as a shock to anyone. We are not paid employees.
Interesting. I know looking at the number of ratings on the store says nothing but are there many ratings for PSM games on Japanese PSN?
The Appli Archives would probably do better as a $20 collection instead. Most are more curiosities than something most people would want to play more than once.
There aren't enough alternatives for digital games besides PSN to make it worth it. In almost all cases, the PSN store's price is the best price. In some very rare cases, something will happen like Amazon will price match then forget to change the price back, but... you'll be perfectly fine just paying attention to the PSN sales / flash sales.
If you're talking physical, then there are some price checker sites, obviously.
I was talking more about tracking how often a game goes on sale on PSN.
Like say, I was interested in getting Resogun, but not for $15. Checking history I'd see it's been on sale 5 times and chances are it'll be on sale again. In which case I'd prioritize a different game instead.
I've been re-playing the PSP version of The Red Star on Vita recently. Would be nice to have a native version, but it's an obscure game. The PSP and iOS ports were enough of a surprise.
Are you using the link hidden behind the email tags? The LINE link seems to be broken for me.
e) You have zero bans on file. While it is possible that your bans you mention were not logged, it's very unlikely; that almost never happens due to how drilled-in the ban process is for everyone on staff.

- Cross Ange (PSV) - Action game based on the "hit" anime
I had trouble with the link, I had to copy it after the redirect and paste it again.
- Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2015 (PSV/PS3) - Best baseball game won't come out on PS4 this year
No reason why it should come out on the PS4 either. If you knew the market here the PS4 is not all that important yet and said series does not even go West, therefore they would not need to please the whiny ass market who demands everything be on the PS4.
Makes perfect sense to me why its going to be PSV / PS3.
Following up on this, the PC price on GOG is going to be $14.99. That gives me some hope that we'll get it for $14.99 on PS4/PSV, but I'm not going to count on it just yet.I wonder what's going to be Grim Fandango's price. Same thing for Citizens of Earth. Too many games for this month, I'll most likely have to skip all of them for the time being.

What was wrong with the anime? Did it miss anything out?
