The blog comments are a joke on both the US and EU blogs. In both places, people complain the other group is getting much better games on every single update. It's a grass is greener scenario with neither side having a real advantage but both sides believing they have a disadvantage.GraveRobberX said:You do realize only reason we are getting that $35 was there was no parity between stores.
First US was getting weekly updates, EU monthly. EU users got butthurt, complained, SCEA switched the US store to a bi-weekly occurrence.
EU got better deals down the line, while NA was thrown basic run of the mill stuff.
US users complained why we get $7.99-$9.99 garbage PSN game (ie Mushroom Wars/Zen Pinball), while our counterparts are getting $35 games to play, there should be balance
The reason I'm also upset is the slippery slope can become an issue, if we don't complain, Sony will take it that PSN+ users don't care for repeats...guess what happens next. Being vocal does help, go look @ that blog, look @ the comments, look how many are pissed
You may take the high ground by saying let others people enjoy it, why let them suffer and not get a chance, we had our chance, it's been 6 months, but there's a reason why PSN+ content gets taken down, either join early or at the right time and enjoy the stuff given out or as the saying goes "Snooze, You lose"
If someone want Fieldrunners go buy it, but it was already offered to PSN+ users, we are only 1/2 a year in, and recycling is already taking place
I know this is a what if scenario, but what if Sony releases a PSN game that already was offered, remember we get 1 PSN game a month, lets say that in February they say we are giving Mushroom Wars again for people that missed out, guess what? early adopters will lose a month, and have to wait the next month
If recycling was going to be a part of this service, then they should have a disclaimer stating such thing that there's a chance of some games repeating
The service has no balance between stores, no communication at all or regarding what PSN+ requirements are in fine print, it's been a complete clusterfuck
New users will have an advantage over me, I have enjoyed 6 months worth of content, new PSN+ users who get to enjoy the 6 (9 due to get 3 month bonus) months I have left, and if I don't re-up my sub, they will have 6 months more of content to enjoy
So if the new users get all the old content, what about the old users who will lose their months stuff due to it, not fair
Best thing to do was offer old users a new mini, and the Fieldrunners mini for new customers that missed out or those whose 3 month subs ran out, that would be best
I know it's only a mini, a $2.99-$7.99 game, but I paid for a service and I do deserve to be compensated equally for said service
Thus, I see very little reason to pay attention to the comments There are virtually the same number of people complaining every single time on all the previous updates too. I guess it's a haters gotta hate thing, but that doesn't make it acceptable practice.
All I'm really trying to say is that you can complain, but if you want people to really listen, don't do it in a way that just seems like you want to latch onto something (anything) to hate. Give Sony a chance before assuming the worst and discuss things rationally. Rather than swearing, express your disappointment and state your hopes and fears about what it means for the future. Basically, continue to post in the way you just did rather than the previous one and people like me won't disregard them entirely.
I really do believe that these repeats will be relatively rare, perhaps once a month at most. I don't think it will lower the amount of new minis either. We've had a lot more than one a month so far, right?
