Cool, thanks for checking. Looks like it is a change for anything free now, which makes sense in a way as it bypasses the needless checkout element, but actually takes longer as you have to do each item at a time!

I think Sega care about money more than that - and it will be their decision to publish.
In general thought, I think you'll see few games coming to PS+ which don't have DLC... its no coincidence that Sleeping Dogs will have a DLC sale this month.
Ugh that drives me mad, why can't I download the updated version?

There's a technical reason for why the patch isn't already built-in to the game, but there's no good reason for why the download system doesn't automatically download and apply patches at the time of installation for download titles.

Is there any way to purchase a EU+ membership with the 3 month sale prices without a EU credit card? I'm from the US but I'd like to get in on a EU+ membership if possible.
Also, is a credit card required to even sign up for the membership so they can set the service up to "charge you" when it expires?

Just started it myself to find a GB patch, still, it downloaded about as fast as the game did so it was over in a few minutes, at least it wasn't the Resistance 3 patch that took like half a day for some reason.
Size doesn't mean anything really these days, Skyrim for instance is only 3.9GB on 360 and you can easily spend more time in that game than most.

Yeah, Europe gets it free this month, and they have a sale on it (part of the Anniversary sale), lol. So yeah, I am also holding out on it hoping it will be free or on sale soon.

I downloaded Resident Evil 5 when it was free in the US, but don't have too much interest in playing it. (never played an RE before, so I don't really know..)

Proby not the case as your in Aus, but here in the UK on the PS+ instant game page Mortal Kombat wasnt free, but if i did a search for it the MK it found was free

This isn't Plus related but I'm curious...wasn't infamous given away for free back in 2011 after the whole PSN hacking fiasco? Pretty sure I got that as a free game, but it doesn't show up in my dl/service list...unless I got it but didn't dl it and thus it doesn't show up on my dl list anymore...

The GT5 install is 10+ GB and if I remember correctly it takes more than half an hour to delete it :O
I'd be very surprised if the PS4 doesn't do that, given that the Vita does. Download Uncharted for example, and the patch will be added straight to the download list too. Awesomely, it works for card games too - I put in a new game, and before it had even done the "please wait" thing, it had finished downloading a patch. Go Plus
I did this over last weekend after my 1TB drive arrived.
Finally, all my digital PSN games downloaded and so many of them accumulated from PS+.
I actually had a MGS4 PS3 with 500GB but was stolen about two years ago. That would have been almost full now.. because this collection takes over 400GB as it is. <_<
A few notes to anyone wondering about this or going to do something similar:
- The limit at once is a bit over 25 downloads if I remember correctly... Sorry, forgot to write it down.
- 160GB hard drive (about 139GB of data) takes over 4 hours to back up and then over 5 hours to put it back in the new drive (was stuck at 85% for a while, guessing a crappy file)
- Resistance 3 data took 45 minutes to delete (known glitch that's too annoying to fix it seems) Platinumed the game and deleted unneeded data.
- Used a WD 1TB blue drive (Was going to use black, but slim still under warrenty and only 750GB max, so meh). Amazon had it for $74.99 last week ($82.99 right now)
- All 9GB's and higher games take over 30 minutes to install if I remember correctly.
- Started the back up Friday evening before the 1TB drive arrived and everything finished Sunday evening. This was done with average download speed of 1.5MB~2MB (20Mb connection. This is about what I get out of it, so no slow PSN downloads)
If you plan on doing this/something similar, account for a good amount of time..lol and don't be surprised if you d/c from PSN. I d/ced twice during this, but it only happened when I kept maxing downloads and taxing the system anyway.
Oh and this is US PS+/PSN. All hail PS+ for my even bigger huge backlog of games...
Honestly, I think you should just buy it. I think Q entertainment needs all the sales they can get. Ubisoft were assholes about releasing DLC because sales were somewhat below what they wanted.
I bought it when the PS vita was released and it is addicting to this day if I turn it on. I wish that Daft Punk Lumines happened...Now I iz sad.

Huh, I thought the PS Blog said that Germany will get SD as well when the new games were announced (didn't follow this thread since then). Oh well, I'm not that fired up for the censored German version anyway.

Thanks. I have the disc and have wondered about this version. The name is terrible because is makes you think it isn't the full game and maybe it's only in 3D.
I love RR, but mostly Rage Racer and Ridge Racer PSP. Never really felt it playing RR7, but $10 isn't bad.
They initially said that yeah but when the update went live they posted "
The cuts in the german version are not that bad (read schnittberichte.com). Blood is there. Just the fanciest finishers got cut.
I did that last year. I almost think a bigger HD is mandatory if you have PS+ - certainly if you originally bought a sub-100GB model.
Next job: Download all the patches!

1) make a new account, UK nationality
2) use one of those 1 month trial codes
3) make sure you finish Sleeping Dogs in 30 days
4) or make another new account
I find it funny that they're not reminding people to read the disclaimer when they ask for refunds. They're a company that operates in countless countries and they should know that disclaimers hold very little weight in Germany and are sometimes even considered to make things worse for a company using them.

Have you checked in Account Settings and under Services and Subscriptions, isn't there something in there that related to the hacking which will allow you to get to the chosen games?
You can't get to it through the storefront, which is kind of stupid. You have to search the download list. Go back to the dates when the service came back up -- it should be there with the rest of your free post-hack games.
I can double check when I get home, if you want me to.
Edit: Checked my transaction history online. I obtained my Infamous license on 3 June 2011, along with all the other free stuff, it looks like.
What jvm said is right. Sony are well aware of the bug and seem to have no interest in fixing it. The solution is instead of going into the Store download list, go instead into account management on the XMB, then transaction management, then the download list there. Works like a dream.
That's what I've done. I can find it to download, but the install "bubble" has a little yellow tab on it, and won't let me install it.
