Does it really make a big difference rather the game expires or not now that PS+ is required for online play, pretty much guaranteeing most PS4 owners will pony up? Just let us keep the games!

There was a thread about this topic and PS+ still ends up being the better service. OP ate his crow and had a meltdown/epiphany at the same time. No way to spin it. (also you got your info wrong, if you buy a physical game, it shouldnt stop working due to MS servers and the free game stuff on XB is temporary till XB1 comes out or so)
 
It even counts for single player content that was being treated as an online pass (stuff that was free with all new games, but not retailer-specific DLC), like the Cerebus pack for Mass Effect 2 or the first Alice game with Alice: Madness Returns. Of course, you still need the second Alice game in order to play the first, it's treated as DLC. But it's free now. :)
 
Ok, I got a 30 day trial for the Euro PS+, but it asks for my card details. When I add a card it says error (43) or something and can't verify. I have funds on my card so I don't know why it's doing this. I just want the 30 days before it expires today.
 
Ugh. Just purchased 3 month sub mostly for Uncharted 3. 38 GB big? Fuck. My HDD is 40. Well, lots of other games I guess...

EDIT: Just found out I have 80 GB, but 6GB for OS(?) and other shit makes it 74 and since I need 76 for the double size of the file, I'm unable to download it anyway. Feels really stupid.

It's not one 36 GB file. It's seperated in 12 GB SP file, 2D movies (or 3D movies if you have a 3D set) and the 4 GB multiplayer file. I downloaded and installed them seperately.
 
Got the free month of ps+ from doing that pshome e3 this a few minutes ago. Can't even download anything because I have the old 60gb ps3 and its so hard freeing space lol

The artwork was so amazing too. It's why I'm slowly branching out into more Visual Novels. There've been more adventure type games, but not many in the same mold. 999 and VLR gave me that sort of feeling. Time Hollow wasn't bad either.

So if you're enjoying VLR for those of you if it's maybe your first venture into the genre, definitely go back and check out Shadow of Destiny/Memories, it's on PS Network (PSP/Vita version) believe it was plus discounted before to.
 
So, I picked up a couple of games on the Store from my computer. I have automatic updates turned on. Will my PS3 download these games during the next automatic update window?
 
Are we (US) supposed to have any good sales this week?

This LBP sale is depressing... two weeks it's been on there. I already bought all the crap. Would like to see some sales on full games, like Ni no Kuni or something.

Gigantic LBP sale is annoying.

Yeah, I did a later play through on Japanese, but was impressed so much with the English I eventually switched back.

Luna's voice is lovely. Makes me wanna ;__;

Thanks for the info! Managed to download it now, even though it took forever with download+install.

The Blogcast that was released today mentioned a sale coming this week but didn't say what games would be in it.
 
It warms my heart to see people talking about Shadow of Destiny. A friend and I both had our own copies about 12 years ago from this little buy/sell/trade store near us. It was like one of the cheapest brand new PS2 games they had and we both knew nothing about it. Awesome experience at the time.

Yeah. Funnily enough, it'll download it on any PS3 that your account is currently authorized on. My brother got a little upset with me because he has a bandwidth cap and I set the Sleeping Dogs DLC to automatically download and it also downloaded on his PS3 because he shares my PS+ account. I stopped using automatic downloads from the web store because of that.
 
I finally got around to playing Gods Eater Burst, it's pretty good so far. I usually don't like anime-style games but this one is fun enough for me to look past that. (Probably because I am a big Lupin III fan and Tony Oliver uses his exact same voice he did for Lupin in the Geneon dub for one of the voices you can choose for your main character... and Michelle Ruff does her Fujiko voice for another main character!)

I'm currently away on vacation, and I don't want to miss any deals. I just set a bunch of free PS+ stuff to download. Would definitely be awesome to see it ready to play when I get home.
 
So I'm guessing the July Instant Game Collection preview goes up tomorrow morning for the US?
 
I have a psn+ account for my vita so i have a lot of games downloaded but i hate my username. I want to get psn+ on a different account. Now if i switch my vita over to this new psn+ account can i still get access to my previously downloaded games on my old account? I believe I did most of my downloading straight onto my vita. Also, do saves stay with the account or are they on the memory card?

WTF! There goes a whole $.60 I wasted, and will never be get back. To think of all the things I could have used that $.60 on...

Oh right, yeah not much you can buy with $.60 these days - so why not throw the dev's/publisher a bone and increase there total downloads number a little bit. Hell I admit that I'll prob never even actually play the game, but I find it hard to believe some people are calling a game that they could get for $.60 - overpriced. I mean even the lowest tiered premium iOS games cost at least $.99.

Edit: the argument about it being worth your time, yes, now I can agree with you on that one.
 
If any gaffer is selling a code i'd like to buy one.

I just found out you cannot gameshare/use multiple accounts on a vita.

so i'm stuck using my friends name and getting no trophies or buying ps+

hoping I can score a good deal from a gaffer (hoping someone will be willing to part with a target pricing error code)

I tried using a 30day trial from the e3 home event but it didn't work.

Those codes had an expiry date of the end of June, so my guess is you were a bit late.

I got a 30 day trial with my PS3 so I'm hoping I can use that once this one expires.
 
Finally got my imported UK 1 year subscription this week, "bought" most everything already. Sucks that I have a month missing between my 90 day subscription and now, really wish that they'd let me use my German MasterCard. Then I might even buy stuff that isn't free, importing cards sucks.

Now I look forward to downloading games with max 90 kB/s. Urgh. Only house in the street without a tv cable, so we can't get 100 MB/s internet.

PS :For UC3, do I need the SP file AND the 2d movie file?

yes the SP, one of the movie packs, plus the free multiplayer to actually start the game (i downloaded the SP twice not knowing this and thinking something went wrong because the game would install but not show up in XMB).

Thanks. I have UC3 on disk already, so I might give that to my dad in exchange for draining his internet connection for a few days straight to DL games from PSN and use the Plus version to replay it.

Looks like I weasled in just in time to still snag the games before the update, phew.

I already own BF3 and SR3 on pc, I have Rayman on card and Unit 13 installed on my Vita, but FREE* STUFF and I wanted NGS Plus, so still a good update. But I need a bigger Vita memory card now, thanks, Obama!

I'm rather taking my time playing it, I have afternoon shift at work, so wehn I get back home at like 1 AM I spend an hour or so playing it before bed. I have a week off next week so I'll balance my time with VLR, Remember me and Deadpool.

Also I suspect DP will be a Plus freebie down the road =P
