Yup, plus Assassin's Creed looked pretty good and apparently Marathon was a great game back in the day, I'd like to know more about this reboot. Street Fighter 6 too.
Even the ones I'm not all that interested like the EA FPS game didn't look too bad, people enjoyed Ghost Runner and apparently Talos Principle is a good game, right?
I honestly don't know why people are so negative, it was a good show.

I would have liked to see Naughty Dog's new project, something from Wolverine, Bloodborne remake. But honestly, other than this, what more could we expect? They gave us Spiderman 2...there were some new (3rd pt) announcements. Not to sure of those which are also coming to Xbox and/or PC.
We finally got to see what Haven and Bungie's working on. I think folks giving it an D or lower are being a bit unreasonable

I'm not a fan of shows with such a heavy use of non-gameplay footage, but frankly the level of artistry was generally so high there that it felt a bit petty to moan about it.
The show didn't have the best flow to it, but, that was rammed full of quality content.

kicked off with God of War, helped turned the PS3 around, and almost singularly focused on last generation. These games aren't terribly interesting to me either, but it's hard to argue with the results, sadly. I also wouldn't be too concerned with Sony only showcasing Spider Man as that's their next big push.

The showcase was disappointing, but PS5 this year has massive exclusives with FF16 and Spider-Man 2
Next year? Who knows. We didn’t see anything from Bend, Sucker Punch, Bluepoint, Asobi, Naughty Dog, SSM, Firesprite, Media Molecule, or London
Seems like they held back on showing anything other than GaaS with those dinky “trailers”
But that doesn’t mean 2024 is going to be a wasteland. Just a shitty showcase they put together

Web swinging is still the same floaty amateur hour bs. Graphics looks almost PS4. Can't even tell if it's better than miles. And qte set piece events took half the gameplay time. Who is excited to see this stuff?

I really dislike "switch between characters" mechanics, and I also am not big on "set piece action sequences." I did enjoy Spider-man but it wasn't my favorite game either. I still have yet to drudge up enough interest to play Miles for instance.

Eh Jim's still got a while to catch up to Phil's tenure in his position. I know he was in marketing before (which some might consider equivalent). You got God of War and Horizon and Ratchet n Clank during his tenure. I think Jim's doing fine. His sense of showmanship is nonexistent and his Charisma is about as low as mine when playing any RPG. Why be likeable when you can be feared?

That was pretty bad. If not for showing again games coming out in the next few months like spidey, street fighter, Granblue, and ff16 for the umpteenth time this showcase would have been an D. They had a couple of games that bumped it to at least a C like that game from Gris, and the Abzu developers. This was barely even a C.
Yeah, the flow of the show was pretty terrible. It did have some quality content but not much to blow you away. This felt more like a state of play.
