I thought every new PSP game was getting released on PSN too?

So why hasn't the EU got Phantasy Star P. when it's due out on UMD tomorrow?

First party games only.

Another awful week for the US store. It's just been absolutely terrible for the past several weeks.
Uh...no it hasn't. At all. Gotta love some Comet Crash and Ragdoll, along with Eden and Magic Ball packs. Booyah.

Seems the expansion pack for MB came out before the patch, because it doesn't work. Gah.

While I don't doubt that is true, Nintendo manages to get at least one game up on the VC a week with titles that are even older than PS1 games. Anything internally developed by Nintendo probably doesn't have licensing issues (except Earthbound, apparently :p), but there's so much third party stuff up there that I can't see these legal issues being insurmountable.

If nothing else Sony should be able to get at least a game up a month, right? Especially in the year they claimed they would refocus on PS1 on PSN releases?
If I'm not mistaken (keep in mind I don't follow VC completely), NES games can be easier to license in a way since it's not like voiceovers, various companies working on or licensing stuff in games, and so on is just not as complicated (well, fewer people involved). Each generation you go up, licensing becomes a bit more difficult. For Sega Genesis games or Turbo 16 Grafx games (which are mostly licensed by Sega/Hudson Soft themselves), I wouldn't be surprised they already have everything put together and have prepared for this a while ago (where they either own everything or can easily get back in contact with those involved). Regardless, I would believe as the generation goes up, while there's a higher chance the publisher may still own the rights to the name, the licensing gets more complicated since more staff are involved, higher possibility of music being licensed, various outsourcing/borrowing is more likely, etc. as a game gets newer. I wouldn't be surprised if that's partially why there's only 15 N64 games on VC. I'd personalyl feel that Saturn games would probably be a bit more complicated to license too (compared to 8 bit and 16 bit games).

I'd personally think that if Sony was licensing games from around the 8 bit or 16 bit era (like if PSN had Genesis and Turbo 16 Grafx games), we'd be seeing similar games come to PSN also).

I might get the VC DLC this week, but I still need to beat Valkyria. Once I beat another game, it's up next. I'd get the Buzz DLC if it was $6. $8 is too much IMO.

No new games? I guess the spring fever is over and now its some dumb earth day category full of shooters and... themes x_x

Yeah the JP pricing was much more fair(?). The Edy thing is only mission while the Selvaria one is multiple missions so why would they both cost the same?? And charging for a difficulty mode is also dumb lol

To be fair, Hard EX mode as additional items and weapons.

My credit card sighs in relief. Will grab the overpriced Valkyria stuff down the road though...if I ever get it out of my backlog of stuff to finish.

I'd actually say this is one of the very rare times where dlc is justified. They produced this stuff after the game came out and it's extraneous to the game it's not something that should've been in the game to begin with.

I keep wondering about the Disgaea 3 trophies, but NIS us hasn't said a word.

They confirmed in the blog post for Holy Invasion of Privacy that they're localizing the trophy patch.

Anyone else aside from TTP get Outrun?

TTP just curious, is the 1080p mode upscaled or native? and regarding framerate, any hitches, hiccups, tearing etc? I realise this is a fairly old game now and PS3 should handle it no issues but you never know. Just checking cause GTI club had an unstable framerate from the demo which put me off buying the full game. (I understand the full game was exactly the same also)

thanks.

Is Magic Ball supposed to receive an update or something? I bought the witch add-on but the new levels aren't appearing under stage select. Mind you, I've beaten all 50 levels and obtained all the trophies.

Must be prepping for an Epic NPD if they don't go out of their way to put anything on the store... Must be really good or really bad...

Not working for me either. I'm sure there will be a patch...

And I don't understand you folks who think this is a terrible update. DLC for two excellent games (Eden and Magic Ball) is more than adequate. I'd much rather have that than the usual worthless Rockband/Guitar Hero stuff + crappy game demo.

Eh, I got the dlc I've been waiting months for (valkyria) and I just got into the Fat Princess beta, life is sweet :D .

With the kind of quotes and press releases Sony's been putting out the last week (MS insecurity checks, attach rate cherry picking, etc)? It's not going to be pretty.

EDIT: I won't care since I'll be playing Valkyria Chronicles again. :D

TTP

Have a fun! Enjoy!

Upscaled. I don't think native resolution is 720p either. Still looks fine tho. No framerate nor tearing in both SP and MP.

well that's good. That can't take too long can it?
Thanks for telling me.

edit: do you have a link to the blog? I'm not seeing it on the website.

It's the PS Blog, a comment reply

(search for disgaea, should be second find)

"Hi tearsofash,

We’re currently working on it. We’re not sure when it will be available, but hopefully in the near future!

Thanks,
Nao"

EDIT: And apparently doing the Home content for Disgaea 3 too.

Why the fuck is the Blast Factor patch not available to people in Europe.

Guy who replaces David Reeves, I expect you to read this post and, as your first act of asserting office, address this issue with fervor. Or else.

I want to buy a PSOne game for my PSP. I never played the original Rayman, so can I get a few impressions for it?

Wierdly, there is a trophy list for Blast Factor which is permanently at the bottom of my trophy collection, but I can't get any of them. What a tease!

Did you buy it from the EU store or from the US store?

I hate this fucking pre-trophy limbo. Sure I play games without trophies, but I don't want to miss out like that either, passing challenges that do not yet earn me a trophy. I simply can't bring myself to play the game knowing that a trophy patch is underway, coming whenever. It's the same way with Disgaea 3, I have that just sitting here, still shrink-wrapped.

what is it with the Motorstorm trailer on the psn store?
Is there supposed to be some new dlc? the trailer is cool but it shows all the current tracks only.

I just checked and there's definitely no trophy data listed for Blast Factor on my PS3....

Someone from Bluepoint games did say on the us blog the trophy patch was submitted to EU fuckin ages back.

I'm tempted to get High Velocity Bowling as well but isn't the eu trophy patch for that also in limbo as well?

The fact that we're still discussing this is ridiculous.

Can someone from Sony EU/PSN whatever put an end to this bullshit please.
