PlayStation Store 11/20/12 - Sine Mora | The Walking Dead (Finale) | PS+ Vita

Yeah, was just about to post that. The bug only seems to occur on first launch. I also restarted it and it's fine.

It's a fantastic port thus far. A completely stable 30 fps without any hiccups (at least early on). Looks gorgeous on Vita. Somehow that makes sense since I believe Vita is based on a GPU that has ties to PowerVR which powered the Dreamcast. Totally different architecture, of course, but it seems natural.

The tagging for Jet Set on vita is weird. Use the L trigger to recenter the camera and/or tag with graffiti? Really? What genius thought of that...

I can't access anything on the store right now. It just keeps loading in an infinite loop. I was trying to download and play Walking Dead Ep 5 before I had to go to bed since I have to get up for work at 3 AM but it looks like that won't happen now. I checked my connection and it's fine. It's like the game tab doesn't have anything in it in the store. Every other category works fine.

That's how it worked on Dreamcast. Remember, DC did not feature a second analog stick for camera. You CAN disable the L centering if you look in the options, however.

I'm having a weird issue with Infamous 1. I had the freebie digital version of the game on my PS3 from the hacking fiasco. I recently upgraded hard drives and now I'm trying to redownload the game from the store.

1. If you search for the game, the downloadable version is no longer available. There is a 60 minute trial, but it says you'll have to redownload the game if you buy it.

2. If I download from my history, the resulting "bubble" has a little yellow pill like shape to the bottom left, outside the bubble itself. When I try to install, it tells me it is for PSP or vita, which is horseshit. I can't install it on PS3, even though the little symbol to the right says "PS3"

Anybody know what's going on?

I found the solution to the Infamous redownload problem:

Do NOT try to download the game from inside the PSN store. This will result in the strange version that thinks it is for PSP.

Instead, go to through the XMB account section and search through the transactions and redownload from there. That version appears to be correct, though I am still downloading at the moment, it does not have the yellow icon to the left.

Another fail for the atrocious new store.

...must be strong. Must resist. I love the midnight club series, but I just bought NFS: Most Wanted on my vita. Someone please tell me the psp games run like crap. Also...LCS or VCS?

LCS (or Chinatown Wars) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> VCS. VCS is a buggy assy mess. Don't look in it's direction.

Anyway: HOLY SHIT, YES. This + Prinny = OMG NICE SALE.

I was that a perma-price-drop overall

So no thanksgiving sale is sorta disappointing, but the sega sale and the promotion "spend $60 and get $10 back" for this week is nice. Still got my $20 from the last promotion so looks like I'll jump on this one too.

yeah, I also had a problem like this recently but with Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty. PS3 thought it was a psp title, so I redownload it through acc management in xmb, and it worked.

Looking like VF5 complete (finally on sale so I can go crazy dressing up my chars) and Chinatown Wars. I liked what I played on iOS but the fucking touch controls drove me mad so having it on psp will be great plus I'm on a chinese open world kick after just completing Sleepy Dogs

So if one was to pick up a Midnight Club game, which of the two would be the one to buy? Love racing games and I'm feeling too cheap to buy NFS:MW yet.

PS Store broken for me. it hung up when i was trying to complete a transaction and i couldn't move my cursor or do anything except quit the application.

tried again and it wouldn't let me move my cursor from the Welcome button. rebooted PS3 and it's still doing it. GREAT.

when i turned on my PS3 earlier it said it downloaded a Store patch. i got sign in errors so i checked for firmware update. it showed 4.31 so i installed it, rebooted, and then was able to sign in. maybe the patch broke the store for me?

Is the new LBP DLC supposed to be cross buy? I bought the Gravity Rush pack on ps3, but if I try to download the Vita version it wants me to pay again. o_O

Damnit, they couldn't manage 60fps with the vita version. Bit disappointed. Does it feature any AA?, oh glad it's native res.

Regarding the bug in jsr, just turning off the system and on again fixes it? I mean you don't need to hard reset it?

I would bang a hot farmer!
Pretty ridiculous developers have to resort to this:
Or just Games > New on PS3 > All New Releases > scroll through the long ass list of new stuff because they put a bunch of avatars and themes before listing the new episode. It's ridiculous they don't organize that section with all new games and DLC listed before avatars and themes.

PSN should send you a message on the XMB whenever a new episode of a game you paid for like this is released with a direct link to download the episode. Hell, PS+ should automatically download it for you also.

PS+ made me go out and buy a 16gig card for the Vita. I was going to wait for Gravity Rush to drop in price, but I'll take a freebie download copy.

Also, does anyone know if the saves for Vita download games automagically work with the cart versions or vise versa? I have the cart versions of uncharted and wipe out and was wondering if it would be worth the download so I could have most of my Vita games on 1 memcard without losing my progress or having to start over.

The game is hard coded to 30fps for all versions.
It's more stable than ps360 versions so far.

Solid port. My fears have been allayed.

Oh I see. I thought the console ver ports were 60fps ( I skipped them for the Vita one.

So the Dreamcast is still the defintive version, ;).

Some of these games are 7 years old, honestly they should be cheaper than that regular price.

Why would you say that? Dreamcast was 30fps too and at a lower resolution. I also remember some instances of slowdown in the Dreamcast version.

I have the walking dead season pass. And episode 5 shows as purchased. But when I click it to download. It goes to the old PS store where I have to pay $5. Any ideas what's going on?

Is it possible to type in search terms? I just saw a list of headers when I clicked on search.
New search uses predictive text and a database file of all the content on the store to help you search for stuff. As you select letters on the scroll column it'll progressively eliminate letters that yield no results so you don't have to constantly scroll through the whole alphabet. The downside to this is you're limited to keywords on the database file and sometimes the results are not what you are looking for.

Really hope they come up with something more streamlined (like the old store) for the PS4 store or at the very least launch a web store so I don't have to deal with this garbage next gen.

Quit the store -> go to the PSN column in the XMB-> Account Management -> Transaction Management -> Download List

That should launch the old style download list, see if it's there.

If you like Point n' Click, consider checking out Testament of Sherlock Holmes, it has an easy Platinum too.

I think this might be the third time they're giving out Sonic 1 and 2.

These are the Backbone ports right? I would've gotten them if they were the M2 ports honestly.

...and as much as I'd like to get Sine Mora, I take it I got to pay 20 to have both PS3 and Vita versions right?

Is The Warriors PSP good?

They did exactly that with the first series Telltale released on PSN, for people that preordered. No idea why they quit.

You'd think they'd drop the price of PSP titles on PSN but alas nope. Enjoy your $20-40 titles in the face of the successor.

Why is DOA:paradise still $40. WHYYYYYYYYYY

Nope that didn't help. Episode 5 isn't there.

Can someone go to account mangement and then go to transaction mangement and then to services list. Under the walking dead season pass does it show an expiry date? For some reason mine show expiring 10/23/2012

I'd say that SCEA can't control the actions of third parties, but there are various first party PSP games well above the price they should be : /

I don't think it's up to SCEA, they are just the store, it's up to the publisher to set the price I think. (Edit: But as Takao says, Sony doesn't set a very good example)

Worth every penny though.

Yup, these are some shitty psp2 sales. $10 for the GTAs? How about $5 or less?

Shame on those other games like Prinny. That shit should be $2.50 or less.

Except they're the store-front. They should be actively looking into getting publishers to drop their prices with sales and perma-drops as the title ages to get people to buy them. The PSP has a huge sale issue with the fact that 5+ year old titles are still being sold at a far higher price than they are if you had a PSP and were going the UMD route at Gamestop right now.

And yes, Sony really needs to drop the price of shit. Wipeout/Uncharted PSP2 says "sup," and "lol we're still $40 when the retail cart is $20 and has been for three months now!"

This has been one of the best updates for me since the PS3 launched, bought my Plus sub in the morning and queued the ratchet game, double dragon and KoF, took my kid to soccer practice and "purchased" Jet Set Radio and Gravity Rush(already own the most of the other games). Just tried JSR and damn if it doens't look amazing on the Vita, much better than on the PS3 imo.

Overall it's been a good update indeed, thank you Grace.
