I might get that eventually if I end up with that many games. I have the 3ds equivalent and its great. Even if you dont want to carry that many games around with you, it still makes a nice storage solution so you can stash the cases in a box somewhere and just use the case to organize your games.
Yeah, it's that or the Hori hard pouch for me. I love that it can hold a bunch of my games, OR I can just take the system and a few games in the smaller system case.
Motorstorm RC too, in Europe at least
Does sound like Europe adds a few more, Gravity Rush being DD only there. I'm almost surprised that's not the case in America given the barebones packaging Sony's exhibiting, I guess it could just be a launch period thing to cut down on costs but given the trend overall is to kill manuals I doubt it.

Any pricing on MS RC yet? You get both for buying the PS3 version? I really just want this on PSN/Vita so it better not be more than 20 as a stand alone.

They have used the words "LOW" and "cheap as chips" when asked on twitter. take from that what you will.

And yes, you buy the game and includes both versions.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I meant what the name of the course was. But the music is awesome too!

Just ordered this case from Amazon:

That's it, I'm tired of ordering a thousand different cases. I'm sticking to this one and that's final!

If he means downloadable ONLY though then I think it's Escape Plan, Super Stardust Delta, and maybe Hustle Kings. That's just off the top of my head though, someone can probably cobble together a real list.

Plants vs Zombies & Motorstorm RC too.

The screen protector I bought comes with film for the screen and for the touch panel on the back. I'll try it out and see how it feels, if I hate it I'll just take it off. I've heard it scratches easily though, which surprised me because it looks pretty sturdy.

Can you tell me which one you are getting?

because heavy rain resembled a "game" that was good in any way, shape or form? If anything, you should probably take a good hard look at yourself if you thought it was.
(props on that PJM avatar, though, I adore that game)

As in embarassing, no, the hardware is not embarassing. The hardware itself is an amazingly well built and polished piece of kit that should probably leave you drooling all the way until the white one comes out, which is going to look even more amazing, no complaints there.
The innards are obviously impressive, and I mean, we are speaking about the launch line-up here.

Gravity Daze, albeit fairly short on the demo side, already shows that if developers actually realize what platform they are developing for, will probably make amazing games for this thing. The mechanics work really well, the graphics are well suited and stylish. I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to try out the full version?

Wipeout 2048? I don't really like it. It feels sluggish, (the default controls, which thankfully can be changed, are a joke [no L/R-airbrakes by default), the tracks feel far too busy and the 30fps really shows.

Uncharted mad me fairly mad. I was a huge fan of Uncharted 1 and 2 but GA is just a sluggish, ugly mess. I mean keep in mind I only played the demo, but everything about it felt very lacking compared to what you're used to from the ND games... part of it might be due to franchise fatigue on my part, since I already thought UC3 was one too many game sticking to the existing formula.
I also found the sub-hd graphics to be fairly distracting and well, the fire effects are REALLY bad. Also, the input lag feels horrendous, but that might be due to the stiff buttons?

The OS is pretty damn awful looking but generally feels very responsive. The multitasking actually looks pretty cool and is fairly intuitive.

I don't wanna rain on anyone's parade but I really didn't like it. I hope those of you that are looking forward to it will get more out of it.

I am not holding back, it's just that I have work to do -- I did spend 1 hour of it playing around with the VITA -- but I felt I would do GAF a disservice if I left a vitriol filled statement without a follow up.

I can say I have been to Gamestop (USA), and Best Buy and tried both of their demos. I am very satisfied in what Im getting. In my opinion my money will be well spent.

It wont fell like the PSP where I bought it and 3 months later sell it to some dude on the street for like 80$ PSP to me was HORRIBLE. Tho some good games/series did come out of it.

The Vita to me looks like a "real" portable system. I dont look at the little things and be very judgmental on it. Remember software issues are fixable.

I have to admit, the folio is MUCH more appealing for 3DS than Vita. Given Vita game packaging I actually would be inclined to go predominately digital this time around, whereas it'd be awhile before we saw 3DS games that are digitally sold, nevermind Nintendo's less friendly system and the fact I can still (and likely would) fill up that space with DS games anyway.

Thinking about getting Hot Shots as my second game since it's only 30.

How's the music?
Is it more similar to Tiger Woods or Mario Golf? First time playing one of those.

Wish SCEE would do this

Thats primarily the reason why I cancelled my preorder in favor of the PDP Crystal Case instead. That one holds 8 games (9 total if you include whats in the system) and I doubt Ill ever need more than that at one time..especially when you take digital copies into account.

Like I said though, If I ever need to carry 20+ games with me, the Pull and Go Folio it is. The 3DS one is very good and it looks like the Vita one is designed better because the mini case is horizontal (holds more games) and the game carts snap in.

Because Nintendo doesn't seem half as technologically savvy as Sony who could've made a more innovative device instead of ... whatever they were trying to do with the VITA. It just seems like trying to be a little bit of everything.

Also, I'd strongly believe that Sony's current franchises aren't strong enough to compete with iOS (price) and 3DS (brand).

Can you please go back into your game selection in iOS and pic out 5 games that actually can compete with a portable system....

I have an iphone 4s, I have a Samsung Galaxy S 2, I have a Nintendo 3DS(got it at launch)

To be honest this launch tops the 3DS by a long shot. Also Comparing phones to gaming systems is very irrelevant. That is like comparing apples to tomatoes (their both fruit but each one of them have their own aspects on food) Just like phones to portable gaming systems.

Yes their are cheap iphone/android apps but they are not something I really get into to be honest c'mon ANGRY BIRDS, infinity blade really is not my cup of tea. I like games where I use physical buttons and really feel like im taking advantage of the character.

Man I am so freaking bummed at how bad Ridge Racer turned out for Vita. Why oh why couldn't they just put in all the tracks/sell it for $10 online/do something other than what they've done. Ugh.

graywolf is csorrect. hot shots is the original. and it is a great three press golf game. it used to be one of the best golf games available (three press) back in the day. still is in my opinion. three press golf games are hard to find these days. i have fond memories of pga tour for the snes. i much prefer three press to analog. hot shots is the last of the old school.

On the plus side I'm sure it will be very easy to find for 10-15 bucks sooner or later, at which point it might be worth it.

Breaks my heart, man. After Ridge Racer 3D, I didn't think the series could sink any lower (fuck Unbounded, that's not RR).

i agree that unbounded is not ridge racer but i still think it looks interesting. i am still very tempted to pick up rr for the vita. i have wipeout and hsg ordered and i am very close to preordering ridge racer.

Kind of hoping the next Hot Pursuit will be on Vita.

what disapoint me the most is that many of the games are comming out with sub-native resolution, like uncharted GA, hot shots golf, and gravity rush...it was really annoying for Uncharted.....

Hopefully this problem won't happen for later titles.

Don't know if this is apropos for this thread, but are you guys keeping your old PSP's or selling them? Since most of my games are on UMD, I'm definitely keeping my old silver 2000.

Euro is unlocked I believe

This is correct. US gets FEB tied to AT&T who everyone seems to hate. EU Master Race gets no FEB but can choose whoever they want for a data connection.

EDIT: I've just got a "partial refund" from videogames.ca for cancelling my 32gb memory card orders. That's $16.22 CAD short of the full amount. Hmm, e-mail on its way! Paid over PayPal.

Can they be ports of existing games?

All the Cave games (4 I think?)
GTA3
GTA: Chinatown Wars
Ghost Trick
Infinity Blade 1 and 2

Maybe some other stuff?

The hardware can compete for sure, but the touch only controls and relatively very low budget of most games made for the iOS keeps it from being too hardcore. That's why I have a 3DS and I'm buying a Vita.

Traded my 3000 in to Amazon for 105 back in December towards the Wifi Vita. I've missed it, but the timing/price was too good to pass up. Today they're only giving 35 dollars for a trade-in of the same PSP.

My local gamestop had a demo vita. Maybe it will take a while to get used to it, but I felt like the right analog stick was a little bit too close to the face buttons.

I wanted to like Gravity Rush because I love the art and character designs, but I found the demo difficult. I will probably still get the game.

After playing most of the demos, I decided to preorder it despite the fact that none of the demos particularly grabbed me. I just liked the way the system felt in my hands if that makes any sense.

People do realize the the DS3 is basically the same. Heck, sometimes I even tap the x button on accident on the DS3 while aiming or using the right stick. It's not as big a deal and we all just have to adjust to it.

I'm trying to not play this thing before it comes out. I know about all the games and that screen but want to be as unspoiled and be more in awe when I see it for the first time.

Nintendo didn't just copy Sony they stole the dev :-p Camelot Software made both Hot Shots Golf 1 and Mario Golf

Actually, after Everybody's Golf 1, Sony poached staff from Camelot and funded the creation of Clap Hanz. Which resulted in salty Camelot going to Nintendo to do Mario Golf.

Nah , its definitely not the same. I think people will get used to it as it goes on but i think it's true that they are a bit too close to each other.

I don't think people here care much about scores in Japanese magazines, but this week's Dengeki PS's gravity daze score is 95 / 90 / 100 / 80, which is very impressive.

Not really the score but what did they say about the game in particular, and what's with the random 80?

? Why'd you cancel again?

Felt the First Edition Bundle went from a deal to a slight rip off when they announced the 3G Launch Bundle. Didn't like that I was now paying full price for Little Deviants and overpaying for the case. All that for a week early? I'll just wait 7 days, get twice the size memory card, a game of my choice, a case of my choice and spend less.
