Astrolad, will you be doing a Hot Shots A-Sync thread?

There's some pretty serious Hot-Shots gamers on here so I'm hoping maybe someone else can handle the thread? :p

But I will be there Day 1 for sure. If no one else makes one that I'll make a barebones one Carcassonne style so at least we can all meet up in there.

This will be my first Hot Shots online experience. Looking forward to it.

The only thing stopping me from springing early right now (even with the Uncharted bundle pre-ordered) is the absence of 32GB cards.

i already know my 32gb card is going to come after my vita, since i ordered it from costco.ca (84.99 instead of 99.99) and they like to walk packages from mississauga to my house in calgary.

Hey, I was just bringing up an observation. No need for a jab. :)

If the vita boxes say "memory card required" then that's good, but I haven't seen one that has yet. Most new games tell you how much space you need, it's something I don't think twice about anymore.

Hey, maybe it's just me though!

sorry I forgot to put the :p to show that I was just joking/teasing

Ok someone has to make a Hot Shots thread now that we have so many people on board.

I'm seriously amazed that there is async play -- I mean we have a Carcassonne thread that's been going for almost two years now because of how great async play is, and that was always the tough part about getting tournaments together on the PS3. Though I'd say we did a pretty nice job anyway :P

Wait what? Gaf is all grabbing hot shots golf? I haven't been active in this thread, but if alot of gaffers are in and it's async....then count me in on this one too! That's crazy, it just got me excited to pick up my vita on the 15th and now I know what my day 1 purchase will be

Wipeout and HSG are both $35.99 on PSN?

Looks like I'm sticking to my Amazon release date delivery pre-orders at $29.99. I wanted both of those to be in my Vita permanently, but not if it'll cost me more.

I'm now thinking of cancelling my 32GB memory card too, since I doubt I'll be filling it up anytime soon.

They will all likely have to have updated elements for DRM puposes, PS1 classics. Hopefully it will be sooner than later but I am patient to wait as long as they are working on it.

In regards to Amazon.ca shipping early...what's the point of getting the Vita this week if memory cards and games don't go on sale until next week? Unless you can get those early somehow as well.

Seems like everywhere else in the world they're getting great Vita bundles and discounts, while US is ignored, Sony makes me cry.

i wouldn't even care about getting it this week. even if it came early next week, it'd be a week early and there would be games/memorycards.

Looks like my made-up solution is the only backwards compatibility solution that could work for those of us with big UMD libraries, whose only fault was to trust Sony's previous portable format, and to pass on the PSP Go:

Since the UMD Coversion program is scrapped in North America

For me, the bad taste in my mouth from this (repeated) carrot dangle is most annoying. PS3 selling less than 360. Vita selling less than 3DS. Surely I'm about to hear how unimportant backwards compatibility with the previous generation is. If so, why even tease it, or mention it at all?

Did anyone read the article my mock-up links to? Doesn't it seem like a better Sony to have to deal with?

Alright. Two cents contributed. Go back to your hype. You can have it.

With games up on PSN, systems shipping from Amazon and all sizes of memory card (except for 32GB) and all first-party retail games on sales at EB Games, there's really no reason anyone in Canada can't be locked and loaded with the Vita before the weekend.

Besides the fact that there's about a 1% chance amazon.ca actually ships the units?

What's the deal with GPS? The Official Sony page in the US and Amazon.com say the WiFi model can do it but the UK official specs say it doesn't and you need the 3G model instead
