you guys, there is no way that the list is the only psp games that will be playable on vita. sony has been saying since they announced the vita that it has excellent psp compatibility. i say we just wait until the real launch dates to see what's up.

edit: or until you read the rest of this post.

The problem is that without any official communication going on it's left to us to piece together what's up. And then freak out. But I'm sure the list will increase as well.

There's nothing to piece together. They said that all PSP games on the PS Store would be playable at launch. It's not launch thus there's nothing to freak out about.

Folks, this is why people with weak heart cannot buy the FEB.

wow... if the compatibility list is true, hopefully it is not, but if it is I'm probably going to cancel. I mainly wanted to play Valkyria chronicles 2 while I waited for the better games like Gravity and FFT0 to come out.

sooo modnation has now been confirmed to be getting multiplayer? i just read the comments on the most recent playstation blog modnation post. i may actually get it then. i'm betting i won't be able to find a 32gb card tomorrow so i guess i'll go pick up the game.

I'd buy the cart for Modnation. Something tells me that game will get old rather fast.

This is part of what the SCEA statement on the UMD program says:

More than 250 PSP titles (including minis) will be available at the launch of PS Vita, and hundreds of additional titles will be available post-launch.
Counting up the titles that are available now comes to a little over 250.

Local only.

I think they'll just keep gradually adding more. Certainly I'd hope there isn't some stupid shit keeping Peace Walker from coming up, because I might actually rebuy that in a sale for dual analog. And Portable Ops too because it'd probably be the only way to really enjoy the game (plus it was clearly designed to be optimal with that set up).

When was that confirmed? I know they were researching the possibility a few weeks ago but in the most recent PS Blog post made 2 days ago they just avoided any user questions about online multiplayer.

Argh. I'm still on the fence on dishing out 349USD for the early edition on Amazon. What's the take on the 1st edition bundle? I've calculated the cost and it seems that the 1st edition bundle is less expensive compared to purchasing everything separately. -__-''

no it seems to be that they are going to implement online multiplayer post-launch (could be like a year away though ha).

you may be right but i swear i also remember them saying a couple weeks ago that they would consider putting it in if people want it. and now they're replying to posts of people saying they are buying it because they promised to bring online multiplayer, and they're not denying it.

I'm going for the $300 launch bundle with the 8GB card. I can buy my own case and have little to no desire to own Little Deviants

Also on the Vita website :

THE ULTIMATE ROSTER: Twelve new legends from Marvel and Capcom join the fray, bringing the roster of characters on the disc up to 48, and a total of 50 with DLC.
Probably a copy paste oversight. but it makes we question their fact checking...

So it sounds like publishers just have to resubmit their games to the new store.
Guess Konami's just sleeping at the wheel. As long as they pop up in the end that's fine, I'd just hate to see major omissions; I could see Brave Story never appearing, but I've resigned myself to that being a very real possibility due to being pulled from the PSN for buying, but not having Metal Gear games would be outright criminal.

It is less expensive, but only worth it if you A) want all the things included and/or B) don't want to wait a week.

Yeah, I'm quite interested in the Starter Kit from Sony. However, according to Amazon the 299.99 Launch Edition (3G+Wi-Fi) also offers a free PSN game. -_-''

@ Toki: The case is quite bulky, and I haven't been following "Little Deviant", so to answer your question not interested in getting the PSV 1 week early.

After you sign up for a month of 3G service. If you aren't going to sign up for a month, you don't get the free game so keep that in mind.

thats with at&t which requires a 15$ paymeent and is coming withthe FEB bundle as well.

imo the launch 3g bundle (the 22nd) is the better deal

I'll definitely be picking tits up...haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

tits.

That screen cannot be overstated enough. I only touched the menu enough to go into Virtua Tennis and felt too spoiled to even serve the ball. Amazing and sexy high tech looking beast of a device.

Has anyone had any success importing PSP save data to your Vita? I'm trying to get my Ridge Racer save across via the content manager.

Edit:
Ok, got it. Just have to move the save data into a specific folder in the PSSavedata folder.

Like I said yesterday, the Online Pass in the retail games tells you to enter your code through the Xross Media Bar on the Vita.

Double checking is something Sony isn't good at.

does this mean u can buy US games and use online pass on AU or other region accounts?

I know there are a good handful of downloadable psp games that can be played on the vita, how about ps3 games. I though Wipeout HD could be played, and I saw the MGS2/3 HD for vita will be coming. What about stuff like God of War Origins collection, and Beyond Good and Evil HD?

Wipeout HD can be played against people with Wipeout 2048 on Vita, but no - Wipeout HD itself is not playable on the Vita. And those other titles will be on Vita, but they are separate Vita titles. Not the PS3 versions.

The Vita doesn't play PS3 games. Some games support Remote Play, and a custom firmware PS3 has been demonstrated to have Remote Play support for any PS3 game but officially it isn't possible.

It's not cheaper. It's more expensive. You're paying full price for little deviants and then $30 for a case that should be $20. So you overpay $10.

As I said in the LBP Kart thread, there is the promise of an invite to a Modnation Racers beta on the House Party website if you're part of the Playstation monthly rewards program. I thought it might be a MR 2 in the other thread, but I'm thinking more it's a beta for a potential multiplayer component for Road Trip, especially since UFG is working on the LBP Kart game.

Spent a bit of time with MNR:RT last night, and for all the faults - not a huge graphical looker, strange draw distance on things like lines on the inside curve of corners, needs a sharper UI - I find it a great little pocket racer. The drifting is the best the franchise has seen, and it handles very nicely. If the multiplayer rumours are true, then I suspect it'll be a nice little underdog race for the system. WipEout slays all, but MNR:RT is no walkover.

And Super Stardust Delta is just classic stuff, but it's a sure thing.

Looks like the free minis you get with PS plus are unplayable on Vita, they all error out when you launch them. It looks like minis you purchased do work, however...

just wondering, anyone know how many titles are currently available on psp store? Currently we have around 250 titles(including mini) of psp titles on vita store. Just wondering how many titles are missing from psp store.

Yes, that's all great. But can you snake?
