Ha ha yes. You're the 6th person online in 14 years to have said something of it. I like how the name looks, phoenitically, but i am embarrassed by it ( created it 14 yrs ago). I've been thinking about forfeiting it and all my trophies to create a new psn account

If you ever want to sock it to him, tell him "ayri feek."

Notable titles missing from the list:

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Valkyria Chronicles 2
Gods Eater Burst

Also, from the Playstation blog:

Here are the first 275 PSP titles ready to be downloaded onto PS Vita. Don’t worry if you don’t see your favorite title here now; more PSP titles will be made available for PS Vita play in the coming weeks. We’ll keep this list current and let you know when updates are made.

So don't freak out when your favorite game isn't on there. Titles like PSP2 and Brave Story may not ever be compatible due to being taken off of the PSN store. People here on GAF have been saying that downloading Peace Walker/Valkyria Chronicles 2 and copying from the PS3 seems to work, so who knows at this point what works and doesn't.

Here is a quote from a comment on the Playstation Blog:

I have a Vita (yes, be jealous) and I can confirm that both Valkyria Chronicles II and Jeanne d,Arc both work fine. I haven’t had a chance to check Killzone Liberation or LittleBigPlanet yet, but those first two titles can both be added to this list.

I get the feeling this list is simply what's available for purchase from Vita, while other titles are capable of being downloaded from the PS3 and being put on the Vita.

I will be honest, I am disappointed that Where is my heart? is not supported as Mini at launch. That was one of my favorite games in the past couple years. It had a lot of charm and really unique mechanics.

Glad to see Sony is releasing information steadily before launch.

I don't think so. If you check your download list on the Vita, certain games are able to be directly downloaded, others are not. I hooked my Vita to my PS3, and the trouble I had with Chains of Olympus yesterday disappeared. But other titles like Modnation, Motorstorm, and Gran Turismo still weren't able to be transferred. Hopefully this store maintenance will allow more PSP titles to work!
Shoot when is the maintenance happening? It's later today, isn't it? I'm going to get home and not be able to hook up my new toy to get PSN goodies.

Is there any word of the Vita getting a basic puffy "sleeve" like the one they had for the PSP?

Edit: This one.

This one is part of the European Starter Kit. I haven't seen it sold separately.

Ok people. I fly into America from Japan on the 14th and I intend to purchase a Vita physically. Will the FEB be in stores to purchase or am I going to have to purchase it on Amazon? I really want:

3G/Wi-Fi Vita
8GB Card
Lumines
Wipeout 2048
Ninja Gaiden Sigma+

What's my best options? There's so much going on with the deals I'm totally confused.

Where in the US are you going to be? How long are you going to be here. If you're here for the official launch on the 22nd, your best bet is to get the 3G Launch Bundle over the First Edition Bundle. If you won't be here and have to get a First Edition Bundle, you might want to try Fry's if you're coming to an area that has one otherwise best to just order it from Amazon.

Memory cards too. One-day shipping in the next 5 hours for delivery tomorrow.

Wait really? I just checked my status and nothing says shipping soon. Are they going to screw release date delivery people by keeping it to that day? Hope that gets updated. Heck, I need to change location in case it arrives on Saturday since I had those sent to the office.

Is there something wrong with me if Little Deviants is my only anticipated launch title??

Yes.

btw. are we sure sony is working on ps1-support?
i always read that its not avaible at launch but afaik they never really said that they are working on it...

i also asked @yosp at twitter about that and he ignored that question.

PS1 support should come when PS Suite launches. That's what I think anyway.

That's what I thought... (I'm an arab american...) I don't know much "foul" language lol.

Anyway, I think I'm going to stick with game carts for the most part... my PS3 is dead (no replacement in the near future) so remote play for my music is out of the question. Hopefully I'll keep my card space for music and not much of anything else except for maybe PSP games.

Same scenario jump started my interest as I had none previously. Thing was kinda beautiful and the games looked better than I thought they would. Then Uncharted, Wipeout, Hot Shots Golf.

Then I read up on Gravity Rush... ugh. I want this, and kinda bad. But at $299, plus a nice sized memory card, plus screen protectors and case, and at least Uncharted... just cant justify it right now. I even have the money to blow, but if I get the 32 gb memory card, thats over $500 bucks. : (

If you get preorder the 3g bundle, you get an 8 memory card and the system and one free psn game. You can always buy the 32gb card later.

You had your order set to release date delivery?

No, I had a separate order for the memory card. Free 2 day shipping with Amazon prime.

Did you place your order before they were in stock with release date delivery?

Yep, placed my order on Feb 1st. So, if yours hasn't changed yet, it should soon. I also had "ship my items as they become available" selected for my order.

So tomorrow I'll have:

Wipeout
HSG
8GB Memory card

They also had a Wipeout competition where the person with the fastest lap won a PS Vita, and I came 1st!! So got a Vita coming on the launch day from Sony for free, very happy!! :D

Ha, that's pretty awesome, congrats!

Man...I REALLY am tempted to buy one. I just don't know how much use it would get. I'll probably just wait until I've cleared some of my current backlog, and see how I feel then.

I haven't turned on my PSP-1000 in god knows how long, nor do I know where the power adapter is but - are there any worthwhile/must play PS Mini's?

Unbelievable... I received my Vita early from Amazon.ca. I plug in the power, boot it a first time without entering my PSN account info, and once the menu is booted up it seems that it will only allow me to create a new account. So I reset the system to factory settings, reboot it... and after I have rebooted, once I enter my wi-fi connection's password, the system freezes completely and I can't do anything. I unplug the power, wait for the battery to run out, then plug it back in, but this time the system won't power on at all.

Just great, did my system just get bricked a handful of minutes after I first tried it? Lol, what a bummer. Someone pinch me...

I wish they gave a general timeframe to Taco Bell winners, obviously there's nothing to complain about in this situation but the uncertainty is driving me a little crazy lol

"Hell, it's not time yet."

Oh...wtf, that sounds horrible.

Brave Story (PSP) better work because I bought it right before it was pulled from the store last year. It's all I have left from Game Republic!

One last game, don't ruin this for me Vita. I guess theres always Knights Contract ::shutter::

Edit: The 8-4 Play crew had the same problem with needing to create a new account. I can't believe that wasn't fixed

If there were two games I would want to play from the PSN on Vita, it would be Flower or PixelJunk Eden.

I think Flower would pop with the OLED and control amazingly as a portable. PixelJunk Eden with touch controls would be really amazing. Playing it on PC with the mouse seems like it's just one step away from being truly amazing. It makes me wish I was touching the screen and directly interacting with the game.

Looks like you got the Playstation Decesso.

Sounds like what happened to some people at the Japanese launch, I don't remember the exact process to fix it but it was something like plug in the AC adapter, (maybe wait a few minutes), hold down the power button for 30 seconds, let it charge for a while, then turn it on? You could probably find more details in the Japanese launch thread (or google)

Well I'm disappointed but not angry, there are worse things in the world than a malfunctioning shiny new video game console (especially since it'll take a little while before I get a memory card)... though of course, if an early importer is aware of anything else I should try before declaring the system dead on arrival and sending it back to Amazon, I would appreciate. At least I got a few minutes of the numbers touch screen game out of it. :)

I'm not sure if anyone knows if it's Sony's choice or the publisher's choice to support a title on Vita or have it be listed right now.
Tetris is the only Mini not playable on PS3 I believe. I think it's EA.
Vita bombs and Sony closes down confirmed?
It's just frustrating. I want Tetris, I don't want to wait a year till they repackage it and charge triple the price. The Mini version is awesome.

I remember reading somewhere that someone had the same problem and that they held the power button down for a while and it rebooted. Try that?

Just what the doctor ordered, it seems. Needless to say, a link would be greatly appreciated. Not too sure where to look inside such a long thread.

I'm not talking about whether or not it is playable on the PS3, I mean whether or not it is currently supported for Vita. Right now there are some other Minis missing. I am not sure whose decision it is as to what games are on the list and aren't.
