I thought the memory card came pre-installed. Nice that it's in separate packaging for those who just want to sell it and buy a bigger card.

On another note, the ability to play your own songs in the background is so great. Now I understand what the 360 people had and why other PS3 owners used to cry so loud for it to be a standard feature.
There's nothing quite like laying in bed playing some HSG to some Q;indivi goodness.

I'm so pissed that Unit 13 doesn't have competitive MP. Of any early game, that would be the one for me if it had MP just because I love SOCOM so much. I'm hoping a new Fire Team Bravo game is in the works that keeps a lot of the features from FTB2 while feeling more like SOCOM due to the second analog stick.

Actually, if they had FTB2 on the store with dual stick support, I'd be all over it.

Works - copied over and playing :D

Also copied in last batch , think these are all confirmed :

 • Killzone Liberation
 • Burnout Legends
 • God of War Chains
 • Sega Genesis collection
 • Patapon 2
 • Armored Core 3
 • Ultimate Ghouls 'n Ghosts
Thanks! Adding them to the OP.

anyone used planetaxel? they got the games in stock?
I haven't used them myself, but they have a good reputation. In fact, I'm going to order a few games from them myself this month since I'm disappointed with how VideoGamesPlus.ca handled the leak of customers' data.

Sorry if this has been covered, but do the disgaea and prinny games work on the vita?

gamestop has download codes for them all on sale and I am thinking about jumping on them.
They're both on the official list posted on the Playstation Blog.

Is coded arms on psn? If it is has anyone tried it with the second stick?
It's up on the Japanese and North American PSN stores.

So I'm still reading through posts and am about 400 behind at this point. I'm at the point where a few of you discussed not needing the 3G data plan to use GPS. While typically true, there is such a thing as A-GPS, or assisted GPS, that does require a data plan. This is used on a lot of phones, even the iPhone (not sure which models, but it was there early on when the 3G introduced GPS in the line).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assisted_GPS

Call me crazy, but my thought process is that they only included GPS with the 3G model for a reason. Are we sure what type of GPS is included in the Vita? Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I'm only at around post #4780.
It has both A-GPS and Satellite GPS. (source)

Have you worked on Snoopy's Street Fair? If you can't tell, I love it.

No, our other team works on that one, but I got to play around with it for a few days, and I actually really like it. I'm generally not that big on those types of "time management" games, but I love Peanuts, and I find the constant rewarding you for playing is what kept me coming back (until my Fair inadvertently got deleted and I stopped playing. lol).

I really liked that it encouraged you to come back regularly to collect xp, coins, costumes pieces, etc. I think the collectibles really were a good touch. I'm currently working on a game pitch that I hope would be a bridge between casual gamers and gamers that want a little more depth to their games.

Does anybody know if Def Jam: Fight For NY - The Takeover works? I've checked the last couple of pages and that link posted above. I hope it does, great port even though the story mode is absolutely terrible.

I moved Ys I & II Chronicles from incompatible → compatible. If anyone still have trouble playing it, post about it and we'll narrow it down to specific regions or methods.

These are my problems with the Vita:

Is the Vita a smart phone of course not. Should it emulate one, no. But it should incorporate what makes the smart phone & tablet so successful.

Smartphones/tablets are a lot of different things to a lot of different people. The app ecosystem enables this. Many different people, can create many different applications for many different audiences. Bottom line, this integrated into a device that enables human communication (the corner stone of us as a species), is why they caught on, and this is why they sell so well (obviously price, brand recognition, and whether they suck or not is also kind important). Its not hardware, its not games, its not even quality. And the lack of this in the Vita is why I ultimately believe it will not be a sales success (notice how I did not say it will not be a good gaming system or piece of hardware or viewed positively). I will ultimate buy one later on because I love gaming so much...

While Jack Trenton has stated this before, the true competition for any gaming device is ONE thing, people's time. I have X amount of free time in my day, what do I want to do that I enjoy/should do in this time? Smartphones can fill a lot of the possible ways people can fill their time.

First, the ultimate solution is to have multiple devices, but not everyone has the money for that (especially now). With the Vita, by design, the gaming experience is obviously of a higher quality than a smartphone/tablet. But what you have to ask is, if I am on my Vita I am not on my phone/tablet (give that both are portable and most commonly used in similar scenarios). Is it worth giving up everything else a smartphone/tablet does in this given period of time? Is the Vita better at ANY of these things? It really becomes a battle of Netflix on the Vita or Netflix on the iPhone/iPad. Music on the Droid or music on the Vita? This is going to be a hard conscious or subconscious decision for most people. 9/10 I see the Vita losing most of these battles.

Then there is this problem. Most people now a days just do not give a f***. They do not care if their gaming experience was created with beautiful concept art or has a 10 hour campaign or pushes the limits of the hardware it is on. They pay real money for farmville items. (Most of )NeoGAF does give a f***. But most people just want to mindlessly kill some time. The smartphone is easier, more integrated, and like I said, does more for more people.

Android was not the operating system the Vita deserved, but it was the one it needed. A silent mistake, a dark horse.
Ok, im a tech for sprint I also sell phones. I have been in that industry for almost 6 years. Smartphones is what people thrive on daily. Yes this UI is simular to a smartphone UI like iOS and Android but that is because it is pleasing to the eyes. Saying this system needed android is not correct at all. It would of ruined the brand very quick. I loveeee android, but if I saw it on the vita I would not buy it. Why? Because they're is to much of android out there it would make you sick after awhile.

Yeah, I don't typically like those kinds of games either but, like you said, I'm a huge Peanuts fan so it's become an addiction hoping to get that next comic strip or whatever. Good luck with your pitch, though, hope it comes to fruition.

Paging archnemesis... you can add Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories to the compatible list. Just took it for a spin without issue.

Just bought Touch my Katamari from that lockerz site for $22.79, free shipping. All I did was sign up. Pretty sweet, thanks to that person here who mentioned it.

By the way... I have literally never checked before.. does Vita play PS1 games like PSP does? Does it feature support for the right analog stick? Can a brother get some portable Ape Escape???

It doesn't play PS1 games at all at the moment. Sony will go into details "soon" or "later".

This is still NOT working for me. I can post screenshots if necessary...just redownloaded it, too.

Japanese Vita, US account. Two different PS3s, nothing shows up in the content manager.

I'm sure it will come. It's probably a cinch to emulate PS1 on Vita.

To be honest, I'll just be hoping ever more for a hack :P I'm sorry, I know... software piracy and all that... but as someone who has a billion PS1 and PSP games I would never, ever, pay for a second time, what else do you want me to hope for? :P

I'm less concerned about whether it'll come or not and more about if it'll support 480i and dual analog. The PSP's already great for playing PS1 games on the go, with those added it'd be nigh-perfect. All it'd need then are rumble, clickable sticks, and 4 shoulder buttons, and the last two are easily approximated with the touch screen/panel (and ideally with some options about which is L1 R1/L2 R2).

Then I'll change it back to incompatible, and add a note that it works for some.

Anyone know if UMvC3 Vita comes with the DLC costumes?
From what I recall reading, no - but any DLC you bought for PS3 will be there for Vita, and vice versa. Wish Microsoft did that with Xbox/PC DLC, instead of just fucking up GFWL in general!

No, but if you bought the PS3 DLC you get access to it on the Vita as well I believe.
I play UMvC3 on the 360 so that's no good for me. :(

Guess I'll just pass on it and wait for SFxT.

Actually, am I able to buy the DLC from the Vita? I don't have a PS3 with me.

I'd have gotten it on PS3 anyway, but damn, this is one way to make me stick with the PS3 versions of games over the X360 ones. Well, and the fact downloadable content can be paid for exactly rather than playing games with points.

Cool...DCharlie confirmed earlier that Gradius Collection is working, I'd link you directly to his post but I'm using my phone. I and a couple of people were asking about that one...almost double dipped but I am really so bad at Gradius that I would never finish any of them, haha...

People were asking about Where Is My Heart (mini), that one does not show up either :(

Oh, I missed that. It's added now.

Finally thing I made my mind up been going back and fourth if I should buy a Vita. I will buy one I am pretty sure something about buying new consoles I love.

Has anyone else tried minis on the compatible list that you got with your PS+ membership? They are still not working for my friend and I, just wondering if anyone had gotten them to work...
