So I have my Wifi pre-ordered at Best Buy here (had gift cards) and I called over the weekend to ask about switching to the FEB. Was told I'd need to call back tonight to see how many they had. So I call tonight and get this older gentleman...the conversation goes like this:

Best Buy Guy: "Hi, thanks...Uh, Best Buy!"

Me: "Yes, I had a question about the PS Vita First Edition Bundle that comes out tomorrow."

Best Buy Guy: "Oh! Yeah! Ok! What's your name?"

Me: *says name*

Best Buy Guy: "Oh, Ok! And what was it you wanted to know about again?"

Me: *explains situation about wanting to switch pre-orders*

Best Buy Guy: "And what was this for again?"

Me: "The PS Vita."

Best Buy Guy: "I have no idea what you're talking about."

All I'll be able to do tomorrow until I get home is take a couple of quick pics at lunch on my iphone of the system. Somehow, I think people might have seen some pics of that item already.

Since Ucharted is by far the game with the highest file size, are demos going to be around 200-400MB?

Ubisoft demos are the same size as the retail games. Not sure why, I was guessing there's an unlock key if you want the full game but the Uncharted demo size says otherwise. Maybe it's on a game by game basis

No.
Like Rayman and Lumines for example, you download the entire game as the demo. And buying is probably just an unlock code. So like a lot of PSN demos.

I personally hate that so much. So much wasted bandwidth and the wait is longer for no reason.

Escape Plan (842 MB), Lumines (722 MB) + demo available, Virtua Tennis 4 (1.2 GB), UMVC3 (1.5 GB)

Blazblue (3.33 GB/$35), FIFA (3 GB/$40), Dungeon Hunter (1.03 GB/$36 + demo), Michael Jackson (1.6 GB/ $36 + demo), Rayman (932 MB, $36 +dem

All Ubisoft games have demos already it seems. Say all you want about Ubi Vita games but at least they got their stuff up.

It's worth noting that the demos are the same size as the full versions. I'm guessing there's an unlock mechanism in the game to purchase

Blazblue is 3.33GB? well, good thing I got the physical copy.

Oh alright, but the demos so far in US and JP stores are around ~300MB I assume?

where are the Vita games on the PSN Store? I'm browsing via my PS3 and can't find them at anywhere (don't want to have to search for each title...)

I wish this is an exaggeration, but I know it's not.

EDIT: Like I said before I think Best Buy stores only received what was preordered so I doubt you can secure a FEB now unless someone cancels.

Is the only way to add funds or a debit card to a PSN account via the PS3 or a Vita? I can't find any options for it on the PSN site. I'm new to PSN so I have no idea where anything is.

12 hours from now I will be sitting in the car outside of Best Buy waiting for the doors to open so I can pick up my FEB and free Uncharted...

ONLY 12 HOURS FROM NOW! HYPE!!

(just installed Content Manager Assistant... now what do I do? Guess I'll go read The Long Goodbye for a bit and try to catch some zzz's)

Does anyone know if Gods Eater Burst is compatible on Vita? It's not on the Vita PSN, and I'm afraid to download any game I'm not sure would work on the Vita. I have Little Big Planet and Modnation racers on my PS3, and when I plug my Vita into the PS3, it shows Little Big Planet, but not modnation racers available to transfer. I didn't even know the modnation was not a compatible game.

Why the fuck do I keep looking at my vanilla WiFi order on Amazon and hope that they mess up somehow and ship it early? Not sure why I think there's any chance in hell it would happen. Oh well, off to check it again.

:D

I feel lucky, my first shot at Rayman Origins' gonna be on that screen, and able to play anywhere. I feel like $40 is justified since the game's supposedly amazing and didn't do so well.

So the games are officially up on the Vita Store.
And it's not like the Uncharted thing. Only Sony and Ubisoft and BlazBlue are 10% off. EA/Codemasters/Capcom are full price.

Since they're officially up now, I don't think they'll change?

Third party games are also now up on the Vita PSN Store!

The full game list is currently:

-Asphalt Injection
-BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend
-Dungeon Hunter Alliance
-FIFA Soccer
-FIFA Soccer (Spanish)
-Escape Plan
-F1 2011
-Hot Shots Golf WI
-Little Deviants
-Lumines Electric Symphony
-Modnation Racers
-Rayman Origins
-Super Stardust Delta
-Ultimate MvC3
-Uncharted Golden Abyss
-Virtua Tennis 4
-Wipeout 2048

Unless I'm missing something, no DLC is available. I'm tempted to buy BlazBlue and/or UMvC3 off the store, but will wait for now since imports work fine on a U.S. account.

Off to play Lumines!

I have this same experience with BB every time I pre-order a game there. Go to the CS desk and ask to pick up my pre-order on a game and they look at me like I'm speaking a foreign language. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Out of curiosity, which bundle deal is currently the best, value-wise?
3G Launch, easily. Bigger card than the First Edition Bundle, and you get the free month/game with that too. The case is nice for the FEB, but if you prefer to have another then it's a moot point, and Little Deviants sounds like something that, if forced on customers, would be better as a bundle with ALL systems rather than one more excuse to charge $50 more on the FEB.

And the guy at the BB I went to actually knew what I was talking about, though either the demo unit wasn't there or needed to be dug out.

I'm glad that my two launch games, HSG and Lumines, seemed to be getting among the best impressions/reviews. Not that I doubted but still.

Soo lucky a GAF user is willing to sell me their case from the FEB!

huh?

I'm guessing you're on a Japanese Vita, logged into your US PSN account on your vita, right?

Edit: I'm stupid, you're talking about actual carts

Ultimate MvC3 is $39.99... So I guess no discount for third party? Unless you count no tax.

Also. is anyone purchasing Super Stardust?
I was all set on purchasing it until I read that was the free game from AT&T.

Maybe this has been answered already, but a quick search didn't show anything.

Anyone know if it's possible to transfer at least save files between accounts spread over different regions? And if so, how? Everytime I switch from my japanese account to my european one the Vita can't restore anything. Not the system back up nor save files.

Not a catastrophe, but I already have hours and hours of gameplay in a handful of games. And I will go european completely once the store opens in a week.

Oh well...

GAF !

BlazBlue or UMVC 3 ?

It realy depends on your taste I guess. I think both are near-perfect port of the console version, so it really depends on which fighter you like.

I assume UMvC3 will have better online community, while Blazblue will have better singleplayer content

I went with Blazblue

Have you played either before?

Nope neither :)

OoooOo, now that's interesting. I might play much more offline.

GAF !

BlazBlue or UMVC 3 ?

Blazblue if you want lots of modes and a story in your fighting games.
I was set on UMVC 3 until I read about it's lack of modes (no story mode to speak of) It's more of a pick up and play game. It's real strength is MP.
