Love the hardware, love the OS and the two games I've played so far (SSDDelta and Uncharted). The screen is crazy good and so contrasty and vibrant. Makes my Iphone 4 screen look somewhat washed out when I look at it right after. Also, this is the second OS where I feel the elasticness of the UI is done 100% right - the only other I feel this way is iOS.

There's just no escaping the feeling that this is the best piece of hardware to come out of Playstation division when you hold it, use it, look at it. It just feels so right for everything it's meant to do, and when programed for correctly (SSD Delta) it's just so stupidly impressive with the kind of visuals it puts out.

I'm having issues with WiFi at work. It connects to the router, but it won't do anything on the internet after that. No PSN downloads, no web browsing. When I go to web browser and point to any URL, I get the "Network Error (NW-2514-2)" error message :\

Oh, more Near talk! I can't figure out how to bring that damned map up that shows other PSV users in my area. Any idea how to find it? I tried every button in the Near app and none of them worked.

The only minis I have in my account that are Vita compatible are PS Plus freebies, so far none work. My friend is seeing the same thing but he has one mini that he purchased and that one is working for him.

The error code is C1-2858-3...screen shot coming if anyone cares.

Is this confirmed as a PS+ (DRM) issue? I have a buddy having the same problem; I won't get my Vita until the 22nd.

I'm curious about Lumines and Rayman, so I downloaded the demo of Rayman; from what I've seen, it looks good. It's a shame that I can't buy them both.

You can take screenshot of the errornumber now, can't you?

Well yea, I had told them the error codes over the phone, but it didn't seem to matter to them since they couldn't run through their troubleshooting flowchart. Even though the issue occurs on both the Vita + PS3, so it isn't a device specific issue - but something on their end.

The vita is so amazing. I'm pretty sure that it fixes up framerate issues in at least some games, as Maverick Hunter X has none anymore. I downloaded FFT, but the slowdown is still in that, but I don't think that was ever a "framerate" issue, probably just shitty programming.

This device is so good. It's fast, it has a ridiculous amount of options, it has one of the best DPADS ever. It reminds me of the Saturn pad. I played a 5 bar match of UMvC3 online last night and it felt great. I'm, like, gushing. This thing is so. fucking. good.

Oh, playing Dissidia with the camera mapped to the right analog made me go :D :D :D. Dracula X with no ghosting? yes, please.

Wipeout looks ridiculous. Lumines is awesome.

Stupid work, cutting in to my Vita time.

You and I both. I can't wait to get home and get some quality Vita time in.

Hey guys, even though being a huge Sony fan. I've never bought a psp. I've never ever even had the intend to buy one.

But I really like the vita. And mind you, I'm completely a newcomer when it comes to the psp line so what do I have to know before I get the vita?

I love the Ps3 though! :)

Anyways, is there a metal gear solid game announced for the vita? Or say some jrpg's?

I believe you hit that Crown icon in the bottom right of the Near home screen.

No, that brings up the Out and About Chart, which lists all the games you've come across.

To bring up the map, you have to update near with the refresh button on the upper right of the near menu, then under Out and About, click the banner that popped up after the refresh ("Topping the charts...") and it should pop up. Be aware that it is possible to click on the game icon itself in the banner and go to it's Buzz page (or whatever it's called).

Is the free month of data just an automatic thing for anyone who signs up, or is there a code in the box?

Next morning, fart case is still fart case.

Crystal case FTW. Last pic is blurry due me moving the phone at last second lol.

Yeah this is nice. I might get this because the FEB smell isn't going away even though I put some dryer sheets in it last night.

Can you take a picture of all the custom fronts it has? I assume you can just make your own anyway.

God yes. I love the design of the OS even if it's not flawless, but this is far and away the very best device to EVER come out of Sony's gaming division. This is the new bar for them.

When you first hit the far left icon "Out and About" it will take you to a new screen. Hit the Near button on the upper right to refresh/update. On that same screen you'll see a bunch of horizontal panels i.e. "Topping ther charts for number of people" (mine shows 32 people playing nearby). Just hit that top panel and it will take you to the radial map.

Looks great! Only downside I saw is one review on Amazon noted if you sit it down with any kind of light force on the hinges it pops open, any truth to that?

I plan to buy this case.

The FEB case smells like new shoes and bowling alley.

And I honestly think rayman is the best looking launch game.
Uncharted looks like crap to me. Its just too fuzzy around the edges.

I pinned the app to my taskbar first. I then just start the app on PC and have it running. You don't have to do anything else from the PC side. From there just plug in the Vita via USB and go into the manager in the Vita. There's no wait for the handshake as it's pretty immediate for me.

I was actually pretty impressed by how quickly it connected and how easy it was to set up. I just don't like browsing my media on the Vita as videos are missing and it's challenging sorting through a very large music collection on the device.

Did anyone buy that $40 Starter Kit for that really nice Vita soft pouch?

Yeah, I did. The soft case/sleeve is really nice. It wraps around the Vira so I can easily throw it in my messenger bag I take to the office everyday.

The kit overall is a good deal. The soft case/sleeve, one screen protector, cloth wipe, card case, 4GB card abd headphones. The only things I'm not using are the memory card and cheap headphones.

Does anyone know if The Warriors (PSP) can be played on the Vita? I'm getting really excited about picking up Ninja Gaiden/VT4/Dynasty Warriors for that Target sale!

Vita still feels amazing!

Did seem to be the case with mine. Now, I havent been able to test it with the system inside so that might change.

One thing to note is that changing the graphic inserts requires you pull out the rubber trays. If you dont slide these trays back in correctly or they arent pushed in as far as they can go, the hinges and the snap lock thing wont work right. Could be one explanation for that reviewers hinge issue.

Hmmm, anyone know the story on psp 3000 at GameStop?

Amazon gave me 100 for mine in December, but it was in like-new condition(box and docs etc). I think Gamestop is offering about 30 plus an extra 25 if you trade it in towards the Vita. Not good. You'll most likely get more on Craigslist.
