Hope you didn't use a debit card. Maybe they're first gen chinese knockoff cards? :)

I used my MasterCard credit card.
They send from Denmark, which is my country. I don't think it's a scam, I should probably contact their Live Support, and I already sent them a mail.

Anyway,
Do anyone else have experience from PlanetAxel?

I remember some people recommending them and having already received orders from em'.

Ok I've ordered not only Uncharted, but also UMvC3 for the Vita off of Lockerz, just because of the awesome price knocks.

God damnit. These better show up on Wednesday.

ooch.

but to be honest, that was still pretty awesome.

*runs away*

I'm a sucker for stealth-action games and Ninja games, so I might be able to overlook dated AI, but the game looks like a polished PSP game, graphically, and the mission structure looks really repetitive.

I love Ninja Gaiden, but I'm not buying it again for the 4th time. If it turns out being 30fps, makes my decision that much easier.

I don't understand anything about what Near is trying to do. I just end up closing it out of confusion.

I thought they were exaggerating on 8-4, but nope.

Near keeps track of other people in your neighborhood that pinged the wi-fi hotspot with their Vitas. Did they do it 5, 10, 15 minutes ago, doesn't matter, the record will be there as a location in Near. Then you can check them, add them to your Friends List, see what they played etc.

Streetpass assumes you live in Tokyo.

Hope the Netflix app turns out great. I've seen how it looked on the Kindle Fire and it was a grotesque disappointment, but if I could have visual quality close to what I have with the PS3 but on a large-ish portable OLED screen that'd be fantastic.

Planetaxel are GTG. Used them for blurays and always got my stuff within a week

I'm from Denmark aswell, and PlanetAxel is legit. Bought a couple a games some time ago and I intent to order a 32gb and UMvC3

I think I will send them an email asking them to cancel my order. There's not even any items listed in my Order List, and the mail says I'm paying $3.99 for "Handling, routing (and customs*)". I think this is weird and I'm worried. Should I do anything with my credit card? Call my bank to change the information or something? I need advice.

Edit:
Just read the two responses up there, so how does it work?

It says I will pay $3.99 for Handling, Routing and Customs, but there's no item in my Orders?

I would honestly wait it out. You can always reneg on your card and have them handle the inconveniences if you get jipped. Honestly, trying to cancel and push everything backwards now would probably cause even more confusion/hassle.

Yea, I'll let it be as it is until next week. So I won't cancel. I just don't understand why there's no item in my Order List.
Come to think of it, I should just have asked my boss for discount anyway.

Got 50% discount on the PlayStation Vita itself.

any one else thing the US based gaming media is TOTALLy underestimating FIFA on this thing?

that game will be the reason this thing owns europe.

they wont understand what it means to have a current gen sports title like fifa in yr hands untill EA release NHL on the thing i guess

Fifa isn't as popular in NA as it is in...well every where else.

I imagine once MLB and a NHL and Madden come out they'll pay more attention. Incidentally sports games that the rest of the world as a whole don't care about lol.

I'm skipping this Fifa only because I only just got 12 for the PS3. If 13 has full cross game save transfers then I expect it to do very well.

I'm actually excited for FIFA 13 on PS Vita, to see what they can do with even more features and perhaps 360 movement.
FIFA though, is the one title I'm mostly excited to play come next week.

What's up with Silent Hill: Book of Memories? Do it launch on the 22nd?

Since I never beat the first game, I would pick it up. 30 fps would be disappointing. Didn't Black run at 60 fps on the Xbox?

I don't know that most gaming media in the US even really care for sports games like NHL and Madden. I do think Madden and NBA 2K13 would be pretty big for some casual people if they incorporated cross platform play with the same save though.

It did. 30FPS in unacceptable in NG game.
I'm sure it's playable, but I wouldn't be comfortable going with that when I could just get Black or Sigma for cheaper on 360/PS3. Hopefully that "this is 30 FPS!" thing was just a poor judgement, given all the reviews I've seen said it's "fast and fluid", but I'm guessing it probably wasn't. :/

It's strange, I haven't played or bought a soccer and "serious" tennis game since PS1 for the former and Dreamcast for the latter genre, same applies to beat em up games.
But I'm really looking forward to FIFA, Virtua Tennis and Mortal Kombat or Bazblue on the Vita, it just seems to better fit a handheld than a console. Playing a match here and there sitting on the couch, rather than firing up the PS3 and putting in a disc for 30 min at best.

I won't buy them at full price, but sooner or later I'll give them a try.

Anyone else think it would be smart of Sony to make a WiiU like connectivity game between the PS3 and Vita before it launches to take a bit of wind out its sails?

Not really sure what franchise would be good to use though.

It's not like this. If Ninja Gaiden is 30FPS it makes it way harder to complete the game at higher difficulties. The game is really DAMN hard, and you need all the help you can get, which includes fluid framerate.

Absolutely. Almost any of their first party games could be used. The risk is that rather than playing down wiiU, it might draw attention to it

It would be, except it's still basically a $250 controller for it then, which is a hefty barrier.

Also knowing Sony, they won't make decent use out of it at all. It'll be worse than their implementation of the Move.

This will happen. It's virtually assured. I'm not expecting much on this front apart from Sony mirroring Wii U's tablet functionality in key third-party titles (with a possible push of bundling both the PS3 and Vita versions together in a single purchase) in addition to key first-party franchises like Killzone.

But it will happen to serve as a stopgap measure until Sony is financially capable of absorbing a transition to the PS3's successor.

7/10 is not subpar.

I'd love to get Fifa but the only reason I'm not is because it's full price and you know the next Fifa is less than 6 months away.

Unless they do a euro championships version the next real fifa 13 wont be out till september as always.

Remote Play I think is probably the key to the PS3 to Vita integration. It's just too bad when they designed Remote Play they didn't have it be like a system wide feature.

Well, this is about the only Vita thread on NeoGaf that doesn't involve obscene amounts of doom-mongering, so it's nice in that respect.

Yea, it's like I lose my urge to buy a Vita when in other threads yet the first-hand impressions in here make me go back to buying it so I'm going to stay here because I need a pick-me-up on surgery day and nothing would be better than playing games on a new toy while laying down for a long time. They're determined to rain on my parade! :P

90% of the stuff you read in here is all positive with some legit criticisms over some things while the other threads are all speculation based on their desire for the device to fail yet I don't have a fucking clue why anyone would willingly want something to fail just for the hell of it when it can keep handheld gaming going strong and hardcore while showing that users still want more than just small casual games. I'm no fanboy as I've been a customer of all, but the amount of hate Sony gets on here is astounding and I'm talking about just pure hatred and not just pointing out Sony's flaws as we all know.

It's just sad that people want shit to fail just for laughs really because they think one-liners are great on the subject.

In other news, out of the clear blue and no reason at all, The Show's Twitter account started following me just after I was talking to my friend about wanting the new one and it creeped me out how coincidental it was. I was hoping it was followed by a message giving me a free copy of the game but that's only in my dreams...lol. I'll somehow find a way if Target's B2G1 allows you to return one of them unopened later on for $20 like some employees have said. Kinda sucks being broke yet loving technology because they don't go so well together...lol

Yeah, there's no guarantee I can find everything I could want at Target, but GameStop? More likely!

And Ninja Gaiden IS at 30 FPS? That's disappointing, wasn't the Xbox original at 60?
The fuck?? All Ninja Gaiden games hit 60fps, this at 30 is a disaster. Reminds me of DMC :(

I'm really excited by the idea of playing games on both PS3 and PSV, like Marvel vs. Capcom. It makes it a genuine value-add proposition that is a no-bullshit addition to the idea of buying a game.

It's too bad UMvC3 only shares DLC between the two. No cross platform play or anything.

Coolshop is phenomenal, you can't go wrong with those guys.

I couldn't see myself playing COD on a Vita simply because of the lack of clickable sticks. You'd have zero competitive advantage having to touch the screen to knife/ throw grenades all the time.
Then don't buy it for PS Vita. It comes out on a whole lot of other platforms. And bring this to the Call of Duty PS Vita thread.
