90% of the stuff you read in here is all positive with some legit criticisms over some things while the other threads are all speculation based on their desire for the device to fail yet I don't have a fucking clue why anyone would willingly want something to fail just for the hell of it when it can keep handheld gaming going strong and hardcore while showing that users still want more than just small casual games. I'm no fanboy as I've been a customer of all, but the amount of hate Sony gets on here is astounding and I'm talking about just pure hatred and not just pointing out Sony's flaws as we all know.

It's just sad that people want shit to fail just for laughs really because they think one-liners are great on the subject.

In other news, out of the clear blue and no reason at all, The Show's Twitter account started following me just after I was talking to my friend about wanting the new one and it creeped me out how coincidental it was. I was hoping it was followed by a message giving me a free copy of the game but that's only in my dreams...lol. I'll somehow find a way if Target's B2G1 allows you to return one of them unopened later on for $20 like some employees have said. Kinda sucks being broke yet loving technology because they don't go so well together...lol

Don't lose the urge! Most of the "HERP DERP IT'S DOOMED" people haven't even touched the Vita. The most hilarious thing about armchair sales analysts is they rarely do a very good job of predicting the success of a new system and yet they're always so confident in their predictions. It wasn't too long ago that people were predicting the doom and gloom of the 3DS. And before that, the doom and gloom of Kinect. And before that, the doom and gloom of the Wii. You would think that by this point people would understand that the gaming industry is UNPREDICTABLE. I guess some people have very short memories.

For all the doom and gloom you see about the lack of games Vita has, when you see a list like that you have to wonder what people are on.

Add the titles already out like Uncharted and WipEout, the new yearly sports titles, the smaller indie PSN games, and swap BioShock for Assasins Creed (cos there's no way BioShock will be out this year) and to me that looks like the strongest first year lineup of any console from my gaming years by far!

Source? I haven't seen any mention of framerate problems in any review. As you said, all stated it was fast and fluid.

Some people expect a console to have a lot of regular releases as soon as the console hits the market, the first year is always slow. Look at any other launch in the past and the first six months are really difficult to get through, anticipating everything that is announced. Atleast the Vita has a lot of interesting stuff in the upcoming months. I just hope they're not rushed out to fill a void for the sake of a few sales.
 
I'm super stoked for LBP. My gf is probably going to get a Vita just so we can play that together (she's teaching music in Peru so we can only play online games together.)
 
Well, when it's inevitably analog-only it'll bug me less than on PSP. That Vita stick IS pretty nice, but going analog only on the PSP was almost like being a D-Pad-only 3D game on the GC, why would you DO something like that?

The ones above do not have a release date, Persona fighting game is PS3/X360 only. Still, I expect all of them to be out by the end of 2013. Nice lineup after 18 months.

Tbh they have a valid point - if Vita came out at the same time as 3DS it would've decimated it. But right now 3DS is 170$ vs. 250$, plus it got good games. Although it's bizarre why people bash Vita for having ports, and salivate over MGS3D.

From early reports, there is nothing about MGS3D to salivate over. Framerate on the final build is supposed to be about the same as the demo released. I'd say MGS3 on the Vita will be much better.

Nintendo 3DS is $170 in USA? Here in Denmark, the cheapest is $248 after the price cut, while the cheapest PS Vita WiFi is $345.

I would just remove Bioshock from that list, I don't see that coming out anytime soon if it comes out all. Solid list otherwise, I hope Killzone is a holiday title.
 
So...is there any way to get the free 3G game (SSDelta) and NOT be binded to AT&T's shit?

Like, can you get the free game and then cancel?
I'll just buy the game normally if I have to jump through hoops/get charged.

It's not a contract. It's more pay as you go. You can cancel anytime. I'd imagine you can pay your month and then cancel the next day and keep the month.

I still don't understand why you would remove it, as it's generally known, that the IP is planned for PlayStation Vita. Anyway, I'm not trying to keep a list up-to-date here, don't take it too seriously duh.

The problem is a lot of these games get announced, but have NOTHING shown for them and are quietly canceled. I remember this happening with the N64, and it's happened with every console since, just look at Assassin's Creed and Saints Row for the 3DS, and even a likely example like Etrian Odyssey was announced way back and STILL nothing's been shown. It's better to pretend they do not exist at all until some actual screens and data show up, worst case scenario at least it was shown to have had serious work before being axed (like Elder Scrolls PSP).

I know where you are coming from, but if we are to have a factual list, it's nonsense ignoring projects that have already been confirmed.

Pretty cool that it works exactly like I hoped it would, this was the main reason I wanted the 3G version.

That's really cool. I would have never guessed that they would allow GPS to still work even with 3G off.

For a list of stuff the system will have and make it worthwhile it's probably best to separate it then. A list of stuff that's been shown and is coming out in the next few months, and a list of stuff that's promised, not shown, and will come out who-knows-when.
 
Can't we just forget about the list?

I weren't trying to make an up-to-date list. Just a quick one to get an overview of what's in development. :)

I rather someone want to help me out with my Developer & Projects list for the new thread, anyone?
 
I like that PS2 HD 'collections' are coming, ZOE and Final Fantasy X in particular . My problem now is that I won't know whether to buy them for PS3 or Vita.

I wish I could buy them once and be able to play them on both, just like PS1 games on PS3 and PSP. But I doubt thats going to happen. =(

Screw it. I checked out the big process and detailed info you have to put in too.

I'll just buy SSD normally. You're really getting no deal at all with the DataConnect, even if it was free I was probably going to opt out of that signup anyway.

I felt like a moron dancing around for the man as he shot at me from above saying "you want your little free game, huh? Well, sell your soul first. That's right, dance for AT&T. Dance." So I just canceled out of the signup.

Plus, can't you just tether the Vita to your cell phone (that's 3G/4G) and get internet anywhere that way?

Yeah, I'm waiting on more impressions in case it was just a poor evaluation rather than it actually being 30 FPS, but then I intended to get it as part of the buy two get one deal if I got it next week anyway.

I think if you have no intention of even trying 3G once, you really should just get the wifi model.

No, I HAVE a 3G Vita. It's future-proofed in the case I ever do need it, and the Maps/superior Near functionality are a bonus too. I'm sure there's other pluses I'm not thinking of.
 
Broke down an preordered the Wifi and and an 8GB card. Not sure if I'll even pick up a game at launch. Maybe I'll just pick one up at a local store or something. Buying a new handheld without any games seems like a bad idea...

You could always settle for a game from the PSN store. I'm definitely planning on getting Super Stardust Delta as soon as I get my hands on a Vita.

If you have a PSP PSN backlog it's not TOO bad, but if I don't take advantage of the buy two get one deal I may just look for a deal on Rayman or something and coast off that, HSG, and the PSP games until more stuff comes along.

Ah, so you were just asking if it was safe to sign up for 3G? It's somewhat of a good deal. $15 for $45 worth. 2 months of 3G and Super Stardust Delta. The only downside is that you have to wait a month for SSD and well...AT&T.

Technically its only future-proofed if they never do a 4G Vita, which I do see happening unless the system completely bombas :(

I went with the FEB bundle but I kind of slightly regret it. The case still stinks and I've tried dryer sheets, Febreeze, airing it outside nothing really helps. If anybody else has tried something that's worked please help me out. Sony should send me a damn replacement case that doesn't smell awful but looks like CS isn't providing much help.
