Sign up, watch a few stupid fashion videos (takes maybe 20 minutes, just put it on a new tab), and save $50. Final price, with free shipping: $251.99.
Yeah good luck with that... I've read NOTHING but scam reports from lockerz. They like to close accounts citing rules violations when people start to build up lots of points. I find it really hard to believe they are going to sell all these Vitas for $50 off just from you watching a few videos.

If you do receive one from them, please snap some pics of your Vita with the receipt :)

Also, I currently have HSG, FFXIII-2, and Pushmo going at the same time. I think I have problems. This is how I spend my Saturday nights... I'm such a loser.

That's nothing, I have Kingdoms of Amalur, FFXIII-2, No More Heroes 2, and Tales of the Abyss 3DS to finish, plus a mad League of Legends addiction to kick by Wednesday. I'm going to be gamed out by the time I even get my Vita.

Is it true you can only charge the vita when it's powered off? It won't charge when playing a game, via USB or even in standby?

Not a dealbreaker if true but damn annoying nonetheless.
I had to talk to Sony Tech Support yesterday (cuz I'm stupid) and the tech told me that I could play while it was charging with no issue. He also was adamant that the battery wouldn't develop a memory, so it's safe to charge every night overnight.

Been playing my Vita all day, and I picked up the Trigger Grips, they feel really nice with Uncharted, and I think I could do an FPS with them too. Also, I played RE: Revelaitons today on my nephews 3DS and I really hope there is a Vita port of RE5, Rev and RE6, with whatever other extra ports Capcom decides to throw in. I don't think I could stand playing through that game without the second analog, it felt janky. I've been gaming on my Kindle Fire and Android phone for months, and there are some great games, but the Vita just feels so much better with the analog sticks and Dpad. Also, Rayman is sublime, I now own it on 3 systems and it's still magical on the PSV.

Brought in a box of stuff to my local gamestop today. 3g Vita is reserved for Wednesday, and I have 8 bucks in credit left. Awww yeah! First time trading in. The eight foot long receipt was kind of difficult to explain to the wife.

I've had my account on there for ages. Haven't had any issues other than the givaway fiascos when they first started to get popular. I ordered Uncharted for $35 and the cradle for $15 and both have shipped.

IIRC the 8-4 guys specifically talked about charging the Vita when it was turned on. So yes it can be via the normal charger.

I must be missing something then, because it isn't charging when I play it while its plugged into the wall or when its connected via USB. But I've only tried it once.

You might have a defective Vita. I play while charging all the time. And I can see the lightning thing on the battery indicator. And I've gone from near empty to full from charging while still playing.

Pre-ordered the Wifi unit from Target tonight. Here's their cards that they use. $1 down guarantees you the system, 4gb memory card and $20 gift card. This seems like the best deal going for launch day.

They had nothing Vita related out for purchase or display. So it's likely they won't have anything for the B2G1 free sale that starts tomorrow.

Only thing that may be questionable are their giveaways. Those are kind of a clusterfuck.

My brother has ordered three games from there, received them all, with MW3 being the only one he didn't get launch week. Apparently that was with a dispute with the supplier.

I've never met anyone with bigger hands than mine!

So I should ask: will I have trouble holding the vita? I mean, my fingers will be uncomfortable and I will probably have issues with the backtouch or does it really have a good grip?

hmm maybe I just cant tell its charging then lol.

Otherwise that would be a pretty strange defect.

No it's not bullshit, it's an excellent design decision considering the current state of the OS UI. Notifications currently take up a decent chunk of the upper right corner of the screen. Full screen games like Escape Plan or FIFA are where this especially can be a headache.

Sony could take cues from Apple and their notifications system.

I don't think you understand the implication of disabling the network while playing games.
You're completely disconnected from PSN. This means no party chat at all when you play these game. Which means Sony, as usual, does not have their shit standerdized and is lying regarding cross game chat across all games.

If you don't see the lightning indicator, I don't think it's charging. I guess you could test it by leaving the Vita on for a while with it plugged in and seeing if the battery gets drained.
If it's defective, then you can join me in crying together. Because mine is defective too (though for a different reason) and I need to get it replaced.

make sure you have the cable connected with the PlayStation logo facing up.

I know a lot of media outlets reported you can put the USB cable in the wrong way. But I can't on mine. Like it literally will not fit. There are ridges. Maybe if you pushed really hard.
I even posted pictures of it way back when an article was brought up, and another gaffer confirmed s/he couldn't put it in wrong either.

if you use the official ac adapter, you can charge it fine even while playing the game.

when you plugged it to your PC to transfer files via usb, the battery indicator didn't show any signs of charging, but after leaving my vita plugged in for a while, I notice my battery is actually charging even when I'm navigating the content management program. although you may have to activate usb charging from the vita setting or something.

Has anyone else got low free space on their memory card?

I have a 4gb card and it says I have 20mb left. Trouble is I have only downloaded 4 demos (Gravity daze, super stardust, wipeout and virtua tennis) adding up to less than 2gb in total. I have no music, movies or pictures yet it is reporting I only have 20mb left on my card...

If only Sony had bothered to implement a proper file deletion system like on the xbox 360 I could figure out where my memory has gone.

or...

It could be a conspiracy by Sony to sell more memory cards by hiding your free space!!!!

Went to my local Target today and they only had two games, Dungeon Hunter and Ninja Gaiden. I was surprised to see NG, anyone gotten it already with impressions?

Yeah, I believe the settings has an option for "USB Power Supply."

Mine won't go in with the PS face side down either.

That would be 7.17 x 3.29 inches so yes, theoretically it should fit.

yea, this is a really good deal. i would get it at target if i didn't have some trade in credits left at gamestop.

haha yea yesterday I noticed that I can actually put it in the wrong way on my system. Now I make sure every time. Interesting though that it doesn't happen for everyone it seems.

I'm going to leave it on in game plugged in to see if its actually an issue.

more psp games that worked:

patapon, loco, rock band unplugged, peace walker

also it seems psp games upon transfer are not deleted from ps3 just vita games are

Edit: also you can put the vita game back to your ps3. nice to know so I don't have to down load the game again

While there are areas in Golden Abyss that are more impressive than anything seen in Uncharted 1, Uncharted 1 still had some phenomenal texture work and puts Golden Abyss to shame in that department. Overall, I'd give Uncharted 1 the slight edge.

It's a very nice plastic. Sadly not a very nice glass. (though way better than anything previously seen on a handheld system)

wait.....isn't glass easier to cracks than plastic, especially if you drop it?

your Vita didn't show signs of charging when plugged into PS via USB, but it will still charge

maybe different region got different data cable?

does anyone know if pinball hall of fame: the gottlieb collection works on vita? just wondering if anyone that has a vita and the downloadable version of this game has tried it.

Sony should acquire Drinkbox. About a Blob was awesome and Mutant Blobs Attack looks even better. They could use a nice developer of 2d platformers.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but do we know if it's possible to download Vita stuff, like demos, from the Japanese PSN on the PS3 and then transfer them to a PS Vita with a US account? Thanks.

This is the most i've ever spent on launch titles. Best launch hands down for me. It's been two weeks and I'm loving the Vita more and more each day.
