So I went back to Target tonight. I don't know what compelled me to, but I kept looking at their Sunday flyer, and no where does it say that the sale starts Wednesday. They had Vita games available, and it says the Vita system is available Wednesday, but it doesn't say "this promotion begins Wednesday 2/22" or anything.

So I went there, and I made a scene about it. Maybe a stern tone, but not a raised voice. I was persistent to this part timer who was there. I kept telling him "look at your own flyer", and I spoke with the manager. The manager obviously didn't want me to get any more upset, so they just reduced the prices of the games, so I ended up getting 3 from them at a price that equaled 2. Ended up getting Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Lumines, and Wipeout 2048. I already had Wipeout, but I still have my original receipt for that one, so I probably could just return it.

That's neat and all, and I really want the Vita to do well, but that doesn't make any sense to me. The machine is a gaming machine, sort-of-sadly. The browser blows, the chat blow, no Twitter, no Facebook... why does she like it? For her, it seems like it should feel like a bulkier iPhone that's been dropped too many times...

She has an iPhone and an iPad. After playing Hot Shots, Virtua Tennis, and WipeOut, she just thought the games we really fun. Since she carries other connected devices with her, the Vita being a games only machine is perfectly fine.

I remember there being a fake Famitsu leak a year or two back where it said Square Enix was going to release Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII International exclusively on PSN, but with an added gallery, lol.

yep same thing happened to me at 8:30am this am I managed to get Uncharted, Hot Shots, and Wipeout for the price of two.. than I bought Rayman and a cradle from Newegg (had a coupon) and I have 3-4 PSP games in the wings... Hope this 8gb will hold it all!!

2 days (and 3 nights) until Vita.

A small account switch recap:

You only need one card.
You have to be connected online (wifi or 3G) or connected to a PS3.
You have to make a factory reset but ask for NOT format memory stick.
You don't need to re-download the games when you switch accounts.
Games has to be played in the account that you downloaded them.

Is all correct?

I'll answer by telling you what I did (doing it as I type) to play the JPN Gravity Daze demo on my US Vita

On my PS3, logged into my japanese SEN account.
Downloaded the demo (and several others) on my PS3

On my Vita already logged in with my US account and all my existing games and stuff
I went into the Settings App, then choose Format and Restore the PS Vita System
It will disconnect the Vita from the US SEN Account then ask you to format the memcard, there you say NO.

The Vita will restart like when you'll start it for the first time.
I logged into my japanese SEN account then plugged my Vita into my PS3 also logged into the japanese account.
Went into Content Transfer and it let me copy the demos into my Vita (any other us/jpn on the PS3/Vita will NOT work)

Then back into Settings -> Format -> Restore the PS Vita System.
Disconnected the Vita from SEN
Choose NOT to format my memcard.
The Vita restarted and after setting up my US account and all the other things (*snore), I'm playing the demo!

I did too, unfortunately I don't fully appreciate the value of money. That is rough though. There needs to be some sort of trade-in program, since I have quite a few UMDs that're pretty much worthless right now.

Also, does anyone know what the deal is with the 32GB cards for 39.99 from TigerDirect on Amazon? I saw someone say in another thread that they were getting it. Mine says shipping soon, but I'm assuming it'll get cancelled soon.

Keeping track of my 3G usage. Not bad if you knew what I was doing most of the time. Regular browsing on non mobile websites and heavy 3G/GPS usage. Not bad all in all.

If you dont have 3g on your vita, could you theoretically keep "near" on while having your vita accessing your phones mobile hotspot? I want to be able to see those names pop up and see people on near but i dont want to get a 3g version in Canada, its too pricey

My plan was originally to go Wifi, but I think I'm going to buy the 3G model now just for the GPS.

I don't plan to ever use the 3G function in the Vita, but if I like the fact I can get Near hits with the GPS without 3G on. Then I can see the results when I get home.

Without 3G near still works with the GPS?

I'm still debating on switching to 3G.
