The PSP was the device that got me into podcasts. I hope to see rss added into the vita asap.

Dumb queston, I'm sure, but does Media Go recognize the Vita, or vice versa?

The PSP got me into podcasts as well. Now that I can play games while listening to music/podcasts, an rss feed app is really needed. I am currently listening to the latest Joystiq podcast while playing Virtua Tennis 4.

How is the download list on the PSN Store on the Vita? Is it as bad as the PS3? I have some PSP games I want to transfer over and I was thinking it would probably be easier to just re-download them from the store on the Vita rather than going the PS3. Is it even possible to re-download titles purchased on another device?

You can download games from vita, but the download history is just as bad as ps3 version, onky sorted by date, cannot filter by content type like show only psp game.

But the current psvita store is not as complete as ps3 store, so I'm not sure if you can download games not available on vita store.

Without 3G near still works with the GPS?

I'm still debating on switching to 3G.

I dunno, that's what I'm trying to figure out. I thought I read here that someone had their 3G off and got a bunch of NEAR hits when he got home. I don't know if that is due to the GPS or is there a separate sensor in the Vita for Near?

How does that work? Can you stream a podcast from a website?

Why not just wait for the one coming out for Vita next month?
It IS closer to two months actually, it's plausible you could buy the first, see if you even like it, and if you do get through it, DON'T go crazy with extra stuff, then get Disgaea 3 and go crazy with that.

So I think I had a kind of falling out with my Vita.
I don't mean the Vita in general, just my specific one.

Since the Right Shoulder button is broken and I have to mail this one back for a replacement, I no longer feel attached to this one. It just feels like a demo unit or something and I look at it with disgust.

I'm sitting here jealous of all you gaffers who can love your Vita. Mine just mocks me with its weak shoulder button. I want to yell at it and hit it.

My replacement can't come soon enough.

Yes GPS works without use of 3G

I had a similar experience with the 3DS which I returned 3 times until I was satisfied. Hope I won't have that experience with the Vita. I'd hate to buy multiple screen protectors

I'm not the biggest fan of golf, but man, those HSG Lobby screens from Liquid are just so damn adorable!

It almost makes me wish that Sony had copied Nintendo and created an Animal Crossing style game for the PSP.

A game like that for the Vita, maybe using Near functionality to find and visit the towns of nearby players would be awesome. Throw in some great mini-games and social functions (like being able to play with other players in their towns as well).

Basically, they should bring HOME to Vita, but stylize it significantly. That HSG Lobby has the perfect look, and more than likely costs low bandwidth because of the clean, simple visual presentation.

Anyway, 3 more days! At least I have off work tomorrow. I can kill time playing stuff. I just completed Tales from Space: About a Blob tonight, so I'll snag Mutant Blobs Attack on Tuesday.

It's so hard to refrain from buying up all the games I want to on this launch. It's insane how many there are that I'm genuinely looking forward to playing. If only Gravity Daze/Rush was coming sooner. I've been trying to avoid it, but all the screenshots posted for it isn't making it easy. It's one of my most anticipated Vita games next to Ruin, LBP, and Dragon's Crown. What a year one lineup this system has!

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll have to spend a lot of time searching.

I went to the Joystiq website and found the latest podcast and clicked on the direct feed link from the Vita web browser. It downloaded to my Vita music folder.

Then you go to the music app and play it.

There is no extra sensor for Near.

It's either GPS, nearby hotspot access points, or both.

A lot of people pop up in here and asks questions already answered in the OP. It needs a "READ OP" in the first post in the thread title too I guess

The one in the OP is still missing the "when do I get SSD for free" and "how do I take screenshot" questions.

This was the first time in my life I put on a screen protector perfectly. And now it's gone to waste. I'm sure to mess up the screen protector on my new one. Then I'll cry.

Poor Vita. :(

Poor me! This Vita lied to me. It was all like "LOVE ME" for a week and was like great. Then out of nowhere it's like "MY SHOULDER IS BROKEN". What a jerk. My This Vita is a jerk.

Maybe that's just an isolated incident, but if I hear of good deals with Fry's (or Toys R Us's deal applies to Vita hardware as well) I may just can my Amazon order and go there. Too bad Fry's has been increasingly lame there.

ugh. I'm so discouraged by the Target sale. Went to 3 stores today, and all of them told me the games won't be available until the 22nd, and that they weren't even sure if they would have Rayman on launch.

I want Rayman and Fifa, and was going to get Marvel vs. Capcom for my 3rd game. I'm so close to getting Rayman via DD.

At least you have a Vita, broken shoulder button and all...

This 3 days is killing me!!

So people in the Vita forums at Amazon UK are saying amazon have started processing Vita Orders!!

Mine still says Not Yet Dispatched

Has it changed for anyone else ?

I used 100 mbs of data browsing gaf, mostly the wallpaper thread. Whoops!

Light browsing/near/in game leaderboards used like 20 mb in 3 days.

Moral of the story, stay away from gaf on your $15 3G ;)

Since you paid for first month of 3G, you can also use their free Hotspots nationwide.

Yeah. First world problems or whatever that expression is.
I whine about it, but I should be grateful. I was one of the lucky ones that got my Vita like a week earlier than even FEB people because of an Amazon screw up. And now I'm getting it replaced free of charge (though it'll take time for me to find a box and to ship it back).

3 days!! lol Really hoping mine doesn't have any dead pixels or shoulder button problems.

I would have to say this is the best handheld gaming device I've ever used. Period. In terms of hardware and the OS, it's without peer. If the pricing on games is right, and there's a steady stream of big Uncharted-esque titles, mid tier games, and smaller titles, this could be a titanic money sink for me.

Sony got a lot right with the PSP, in many ways it was the ultimate 2D handheld system, the Vita seems like the ultimate 3D system.

I'm confused. What's so bad about it? Only complaint I've seen is that they won't sell games until the 22nd. The deal goes until the 29th so who cares? Are only the FEB people mad?
Some I think would rather get it out of the way, or before the games they want vanish. Kind of like why I have HSG despite waiting on the wi-fi release, because Amazon could've, and ultimately did, raise the price from $30 to $40.

Hang in there ! ^_^

The ad says active 2/19. If they intended to hold all thier stock till launch they should have said active 2/22. The fact that some are selling and some arent is really frustrating.

On that note, it's probably best to bring along a paper ad if you can. It's one thing if they're going by your word of mouth, it's another when you have an ad they printed clearly stating the 19th is the first day.

For some reason, the volume control doesn't turn down all applications (universal sound control). Specifically the Camera app... turn the sound all the down and CLICK ... picture sounds. It's so ungodly loud too. Wth?

That'd be cool if the ad was for that week; it's not. All the stuff in the ad is supposed to be available from the 19th on, and the games are available online as well as being shown as available in-store on locators, but they're claiming all games are street dated and that they cannot be sold, despite their street date actually being 2/14. And I had the ad.

In summation, it's a mess.

Do you mean the photo taking sound ? If so, I believe the vendors are required to not mute the snapping click.

They have their weekly ad right next to the carts when you enter the store.

The website is also not honoring the sale either FYI.

I definitely feel the same way. I actually played Asphalt Injection for 3 hours, while normally I wouldn't even go near such games. I really love the responsiveness of the UI.
