Virtua Tennis and I only got that two days ago.

Least played games....waiting for patches
Modnation racers (frame rate makes it unplayable)
wipeout (load times)
When are they patching Wipeout? and how improved should I expect the loading times to become?

;)

They are torturing me! :'(

Haven't touched the order since making it (on the 6th) and my Ubi misprice order hasn't changed since the 8th of Jan and still no sign of that being sent either.

Already posted. :)

Some people have said their mispriced games have shipped so I'm confident they aren't going to cancel at the last minute. Just a question of when they'll ship though, hopefully tomorrow along with the unit and memory card.

They've been good for me, it said delivery within 3-5 days, and my order changed to Processing on Friday then sat there unchanged for a few days. But today I just got an email to say they're sending it out by courier tomorrow to ensure delivery on release day. Not bad for free delivery :)

They seem pretty reliable, waiting to see if the amazon uk get the B2G1 free deal,

Wow it's that good? I was waffling on returning it to target but I might keep it.

The setting is very similar to the first game but the enemy encounters are a lot better. Bend seems to have figured out that you don't need wave after wave of enemies to artificially lengthen the game. This is still a full 10-12 hour experience with a lot more exploration.

There are a too many "rubbings" you have to do but for the most part they don't interrupt the flow of the narrative. The story itself is pretty damn good and the visuals are on par with Uncharted 1 IMO.

Great game.

If I had to list them.

Game play:

Uncharted 2
Uncharted: GA
Uncharted 3
Uncharted

Story:

Uncharted 3
Uncharted 2
Uncharted: GA
Uncharted

The aiming mechanic works really well once you get used to it. Aiming with the right trigger and then fine tuning your reticule by tilting the Vita is very well done. Makes shooting a lot of fun.

Now I'm curious, what was wrong with your old dining room table and couch?

Nothing, which is what's bothering me

She wanted a sectional (understandable). My brother took his recliner (he couldn't fit it in his apt with his current couch, which he just sold) back. I'm going to put our current couch in our extra room where the 360 is. I'm fine with the couch, its not something we really need, but its good to have.

Our current table isn't the greatest (I got it for free). But its still in good shape and we hardly use it (we usually eat dinner in the living room). I didn't even know she had an issue with it until yesterday.

I'm more upset that she told me I could get a Vita and then pulled the rug out from underneath me. The same thing happened with our phone upgrades. I used mine to get an iPhone 4 and we agreed that I would use it until hers (this month) and if I didn't like it, I could get the phone I wanted (and give her the iPhone). Now that we're closing in on her upgrade, she wants a 4S (whereas I want a Galaxy Nexus), which means I'm stuck with a phone I'm not to fond of until next April.

Anyways, I hope everyone who gets a Vita enjoys the hell out of it, since this is getting off topic.

Man, I wanted to play Lumines.

Still no domestic reviews for Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour. At least you guys seem to like it.
A german review site just gave the game a 53%.

Strange. The graphics and character models look great and the framerate is awesome. Throw on top of the 9 plus mini games and AR features and fast loading times. Plus it plays well. So if you like Virtua Tennis I don't know how you could not like this one.

That is pretty darn nifty. Too bad it wasn't up for reviewers... :\

The community features in these games are great. Love the feed in the Live Area sections as well as some of the stuff we are seeing in game. Lumines, Super Stardust and Wipeout seem to have figured it out.

Great stuff.

2 questions for those that have the Vita:

Can I immediately charge the device without ever turning it on? Ill be at work when I receive it and am wondering if I can just plug it into the PC here and fully charge it for when I got home.

Does the PS3 bluetooth headset sync with the Vita?

Metro (Game Central) in the UK reviewed VT4 just today.

http://www.metro.co.uk/tech/games/890843-virtua-tennis-4-world-tour-edition-ps-vita-review-new-balls

In Short: An excellent conversion of the home console original, that actually seems more at home on the PS Vita than it did its original formats.

Pros: Simple, accessible controls and the new play styles and super shot work very well. Fun mini-games and smooth graphics. Expanded online mode.

Cons: Career mode and gameplay depth pales next to Top Spin 4 on the home consoles, especially given the variable artificial intelligence.

Score: 8/10

My wife tried to pull the same crap with me except instead of furniture it was joining a CSA. Fucking vegetables. So I traded in her DS and old Ipod plus a bunch of shitty games. Picking up my 3g on Wednesday. In fact I just got the text from gamestop, reminding me it will be in and to bring in more of her stuff to trade :)

I cant find the answer to my question via GAAWGLE since every single hit talks about "BBQ OMG ONE ACCOUNT PER SYSTEM!"

I understand Vita currently only can be tied to one account, YES OLD NEWS!
But, HOW MANY VITAS PER PSN ACCOUNT? Just one?

That is indeed a good question. I assume you can only have 1 Vita logged into an account at a time, but no idea whether using two Vitas alternatingly would work.

I wish the rumor about MP coming to Golden Abyss as DLC was true. I'm afraid to sell my copy now once I beat the game which should be pretty quick given there's nothing else to do on bedrest, and if I did sell it, it'd be my luck that MP gets announced a few days later...lol

Sorry for the dumb question, but when do Vita games become available for purchase at the PS3's PSN store? I didn't see anything when I went online a few days ago. I don't have wi-fi at home, so I'll need it to purchase digital games.

My understanding is you can have up to 2 Vitas per account.

You have to search for them.

Two portables per account. 2 PSPs. 1 PSP 1 Vita. 2 Vitas. However you mix it up, 2 portables..

Great to hear the tilt aiming was implemented well.

Great stuff.
How are you notified of new activity in the LiveArea of a game? Do you have to scroll down the LiveArea to read the feed?

Oh, thanks. I expected to see them front and center. I'll probably buy SSD and maybe Lumines after work then.

Anyways, just got my text from Gamestop. The final days always feel like the longest, but I'm glad I'll have it in my hands soon.

Yeah, in the live area you just scroll down and you'll see a feed from your friend's. You will see their achievements and any notable accomplishments they have made in the game you're browsing. You can even comment and leave a thumbs up. Wipeout, Super Stardust and Lumines are implementing some really good community features in game. Friend scoreboards and being notified when someone beats your best time are great ways to raise the competitiveness between players.

So since my Vita is likely gonna arrive tomorrow, way before any games, looking at how to load this bitch up with demos. Am I right to think:

- sign up on my JPN PSN account first to plop some demos onto 8gb card from PS3.
- wipe to factory settings.
- sign on to UK PSN account and see what still works.

no chance I can just PS3 the JPN demos across straight up onto my UK account?

1) yes, it MUST BE OFF while charged with USB, otherwise it won't charge.

2) yes

I wish I had done it that way first.

Yeah, you can't transfer JPN demos over to your PSV from your PS3.
